Valerie | 295 comments Hello Yz,

So sorry these are late - I completely spaced on the date. Here are my picks for you - I hope you find one (or two) that you will enjoy!

1. Superman: Poughkeepsie - I really love this book. Not really sure what genre I would call it but it seems a bit out of your norm.

2. Green Lantern: Blood Promise - I find it hard to believe that you started the Vampire Academy books and didn't finish them. I had to devour them all.

3. Batman: Savor the Moment - can't really go wrong with Nora.

4. Wolverine: Warrior's Cross - I am about 65% through this book right now. I love these guys.

5. The Hulk: These Things Hidden - very emotional. One of those books that you need to recover from before you can jump into another book.

6. Wonder Woman: Storm Born - you won't regret it. It took me forever to get this off of my TBR and I was kicking myself.

7. Thor: Tempted - not the greatest writing but definitely a steamy cover.

Tempted by Megan Hart

BUDDY READS:

8. Spider-man: Storm of Visions - this book has been sitting on my TBR a long time. I would love to have a reason to move it along.

9. Captain America: The School for Heiresses - I own this book but have not been motivated to read it.

Ashley | 449 comments So far I have read........

Heaven and Hell by Kristen Ashley. While I did enjoy this book it ended up being my least favorite Kristen Ashley. I gave it 3 stars. I just did not fall in love with the male lead in this book like I have with the other ones.

Bound by Your Touch by Meredith Duran. I liked this book but it felt incomplete to me. I would have loved an epilogue. It ends with a lot of unsolved issues. I gave it 3 stars with an epilogue though I would have given it 4.

Skin Game by Ava Gray. I am really glad you picked this book for me. Its been on my tbr list for awhile and I just haven’t gotten around to it. I loved the couples dynamic and I have always been a sucker for books with women who can kick ass. I gave it 3.5 Stars.

It was fun browsing through your shelves. I've made a mix of books that are on your TBR and some that are not. Please let me know if you don't like any of your picks and I'll redo them for you.

1. Superman:
1. The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde - One of the most weird book premises ever. But I enjoyed it completely.
2. Beguiling the Beauty by Sherry Thomas - You don't seem to have read any historical. Sherry Thomas is one of my favorite historical writer on auto-buy. An added bonus is that the leads in this book are brainy.

The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next #1) by Jasper Fforde Beguiling the Beauty (Fitzhugh Trilogy, #1) by Sherry Thomas

2. Green Lantern:
1.Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning - While I didn't like the first two books in the series, it does get better from book 3 onwards. It's good to see Mac developing over the series.
2. Caressed By Ice by Nalini Singh - Psy-Changelings is one of my favorite PNR series and CBI is one of my favorite in the whole series. I strongly recommend you continue the series till the end.

Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning Caressed By Ice (Psy-Changeling, #3) by Nalini Singh

3. Batman:
1. Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie - One of the better contemporaries out there with a brainy accountant female lead.
2. A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin - I loved, loved this book by GRRM.

Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin

4. Wolverine:
1. The Way of Shadows by Brent Weeks - A dark fantasy with an assassin as the main lead. Fitting, right? The book has so many twists and turns that you can't foresee all.
2. Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews - So the main lead and the best friend of Kate are both shapeshifters. You need to continue the series as it gets awesome.

The Way of Shadows (Night Angel, #1) by Brent Weeks Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews

5. The Hulk:
1. Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah - I read this book for a challenge and I cried at the end. It's really good.
2. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green - I heard from some friends that this is an emotional read and some even had tears in their eyes. I'm passing this rec to you.

Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

6. Wonder Woman:
1. Something About You by Julie James - How strong would a woman to be to work as ….
2. Moon Called by Patricia Briggs - Mercy is one of strongest female lead in the Urban Fantasy World. Over the series, we see her grow stronger in so many different ways.

Something About You (FBI / US Attorney, #1) by Julie James Moon Called (Mercedes Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs

7. Thor:
1. Riding the Storm by Sydney Croft - I haven't read this series but I have heard that it is hot.

I really enjoyed going through your shelves and picked up a few new titles for myself :)
I hope you find something you like here!

1. Superman:
Wanderlove-you don't have a lot of YA- I recently read this story and loved it. Senior in HS takes off to South America and tries to find herself.

The Sugar Queen-new author, love everything she writes. This one is great but you can choose any title by Sarah Addison Allen and be delighted.

2. Green Lantern:
Softly at Sunrise-coming out this month.
Cherished- also coming out this month by an author you love.
Mistress of the Night-you liked this author, how about another by her. I loved this one.
Father Mine: Zsadist and Bella's Story- you have read the entire series but don't have this short gem on your tbr. So good!

3. Batman: Dark brooding superhero -love both of these from your tbr-
Simply Irresistible
Hex Hall

4. Wolverine:
Skin Game-both H/h are anti-heroes. Both on the wrong side of the law, a little pnr thrown in- different and really good.

5. The Hulk: (Superhero who transforms when angry or emotional)Recommend an emotional or an intense book.
The Fault in Our Stars- just read this and it was a sobfest for me- still recovering :)
Finding Zach- haven't read it but heard good things.

Angelfall-recently read this and loved it. Intense thrill ride with teen trying to save her family from fallen angels.
Blade Song-from your tbr, looks good.

7. Thor:(Norse god superhero acted by the super hot Chris Hemsworth ;)) Recommend a book with a steamy cover.
I'll Be Your Drill, Soldier by Crystal Rose Hot Head (Head, #1) by Damon Suede Wild, Wicked, & Wanton by Jaci Burton

Carrie (icanhasbooks) | 987 comments Hello Lindy I have your list. I'm not going to lie it was more of a challenge then I thought it would be. You have 0 books in your tbr. So I really hope that I did well, lol.

2. Green Lantern:
Bedazzled it's the second book in Bertrice Small's Skye's Legacy series.

3. Batman:
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie Historical mystery thriller

4. Wolverine:
Masked by Moonlight you seem to like suspensful books, I know it's pnr/uf which you don't read much of but it's a very good book.

5. The Hulk:
The Last Song You've read others by him, so you know to have your tissues close by.

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2244 comments Bone Crossed (Mercedes Thompson, #4) by Patricia Briggs

I finished Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs and I absolutely loved it! I don't think it was as good as Iron Kissed, but some serious sh*t went down in the end of that book and I would like Mercy to recover a bit before we start crawling through the muck again. I love this series though, I love how coyote-like mercy is! FIVE STARS!

I believe that Carrie picked for you on message 326. You should pick something to read for the month for this challenge from there. I don't think you need to do any more picking for someone else (less I'm reading the posts wrong). Some just had to repick FOR you. Other people use your TBR (To Be Read) list (books that you find you want to read) to make your recommendations for the "Pick it for Me" Challenge.

message 332: by Vi (last edited Aug 03, 2012 10:14AM) (new)

Vi | 2794 comments Lindy, Shell is correct. Carrie has recommended books based on your Read/To Be Read (to-read shelf in your books). From Carrie's recommendation for you, you need to read ONE book to complete this challenge.

Thanks for stepping in, Shell!
