I know! I need to finish the trilogy so can R&R Fire Country! (silently curses 'day job' for interfering with reading :)) Congrats on the upcoming release. I do think that perhaps you do not sleep? Or have a clone? You are all over the goodreads boards, plus have time to promote current books, launch your upcoming book and write. Makes me feel rather inefficient (and usually I'm quite efficient). Sigh.

LOL! Welllll, I don't have the day job anymore, so that helps! But you're right, I don't sleep much haha! I despise sleep because it always feels like such a waste to me when I could be reading, writing, or chatting about reading and writing hehe. But thank you, I do try very hard to keep all my projects moving along although the Goodreads thing is more of just an obsession at this point!!! You people are just too much fun that I can't stay away for long!

My 'day job' is writing, too, and I do not accomplish near as much. I need a clone :). Or at least a publicist, personal assistant and house manager. Instead, I'm going to ignore all & catch up on my reading for a bit. More fun & less stressful!

LOL! A clone would be awesome, especially if you got to enjoy all the reading your clone could do! I love putting writing aside for a while and just reading (which I've done for a week in between projects), but then my characters start speaking to me and they force me to write their stories haha!

That happens to me too. I'll be reading a story and then suddenly I have an epiphany and have to switch over to one I'm writing. Usually it's just a scene or two, but in the case of the first time, it was an entire book.

I was reading the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini (i.e. Eragon) and about halfway through the third one, the idea for my 2nd book just popped up and took over and I never quite finished reading the series. Now, I'll have read from the start when I decide to tackle the series again (it's been a year, after all).

Yeah, those would help, that's for sure.

I do a lot of writing for my day job, mostly instructional design, but it's completely different from the writing I do at home. I actually wrote a blog post about the differences today (here on Goodreads).

I recommend reading the sample on Amazon... you'll either love or hate the style of it. I think it's a good depiction of someone that's going nuts and slowly pulls out of it. The world isn't as elaborate as many dystopias, but it's interesting. I didn't love the ending... kind of bizarre, but I've read the 1.5 (good) and plan on reading 2.0.

I just came across a neat preview on Createspace, Paranoia (can't spell that). It's told from the perspective of a paranoid, OCD fella who manages to uncover a real conspiracy (or is even that in his head). I will definitely be getting a copy once it's published. Was hilarious.
