November 21st might be difficult. How's the 27th?

I just didn't like Hunter much in Spirit, and I didn't like the girl he was after either. The Merricks weren't in it all that much, and there wasn't much romance either. The ending was also a very bold move from the author, but not exactly happy. Definitely the worst of the series for me :( I was really looking forward to it as well!

Wow I like the lack of romance!

27th will be my The Ghost and The Goth #3 buddy read with Mei. It's hard for me to read more than one book at one time :) How about 28th or 29th?

I don't quite like Hunter either, from the beginning of the series. It isn't because I first thought him being an antagonist but because I think the author needs to stick to Merrick brothers.

I like Hunter because he's different and doesn't get the girl. XD

My favorite so far is Gabe story in Spark but I'm also intrigue with Michael. I think he has a huge responsibility regarding his brother and want to see his earth power :D

I loved Gabe too! Have you read Breathless (Elemental, #2.5) by Brigid Kemmerer ? I loved that one too. I think the first novella had Michael in it Elemental (Elemental, #0.5) by Brigid Kemmerer

message 6259: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments OMG I even didn't realize it but now I know it. And yes it's a massive spoiler. I think I have to put on-hold Spirit until I forgot about it :(

Rachmi | 4882 comments @Sarah: I've read all of the book and novella in the series except Spirit. I loved Breathless too it was quite different from the other books and has interesting story. Elemental wasn't enough for me to know Michael, hehehe

Btw, you haven't answered my question regarding Finding It buddy read, will you do it on 28th or 29th? because on 27th I have buddy read with Mei.

Sorry Rachmi! I'm not very awake this morning! The 29th should be fine ☺ Do you want me to set up the thread?

I didn't think much to elemental either. after reading it i thought that the first book would be about Michael, and then it wasn't! there's not much mentioned about what happened in elemental in the other books in the series either.

message 6264: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Sarah wrote: "Sorry Rachmi! I'm not very awake this morning! The 29th should be fine ☺ Do you want me to set up the thread?"

Great, yes please make the thread. I'm preparing to go home now :)

Agree, it's like a standalone, apart from the series but I'm kind of glad Michael story (I assume it) will be the final of the series because he's the oldest and has the most responsibility in the family and the elemental society, I think.

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments @Alexandria Yes, it is the second book, but if you haven't read Matched yet that is okay! If your interested, I am keen to read Sweetly (Fairytale Retellings, #2) by Jackson Pearce . It's the 2nd book in a series, but each is a different retelling of a fairy tale and can be read as a standalone. I have only read the prologue of Sweetly (Fairytale Retellings, #2) by Jackson Pearce , but if you want I would really love a buddy for it!
