"What, with you?""No, with some other girl."
Seemed like Becca had a violent streak.
Mod
"Shocker," she whispered sarcastically.
Brody chuckled a little and then turned away from Beth, who pulled out a pencil to take notes. She flipped to a new page in her notebook.
Mod
"Notes." Brody stared at the blank page as if it were the most interesting thing in the world.
Mod
"Umm...history?" Beth covered her doodles with a hand. "Am I in your personal space? Sorry." Brody said. He moved away. "Becca...she scares me." He suddenly said.

Their teacher walked in and they turned away. Turned out that Brody wasn't so bad after all.
Mod
The minutes passed, and then their class was over. "Hey!" Brody called. "I'm walking to class with you." he stated frankly."Well, okay."
Ash joined them.
Mod
"Sure," the two said in unison.
"Great! Okay, that's my class," he pointed. "Bye!"
Mod
"I dunno." Ash said. "There's this new cafe on Line Avenue, do you think we should go there.
Mod
"Okay."Ash dropped Beth off at her class just as the bell rang. He always accompanied Beth to her class, but that talk with Brody must have slowed him down. He walked a little faster. He didn't want to get in trouble with his teacher.

"Yeah," he called back, "See you then."
Beth walked into her schools locker room.
Mod
She had friends. She was happy. What more could she want? She put her hair into a ponytail as the girls around her chatted.
Mod
She shook it off and walked out of the locker room. One of her friends, Stephanie called after her "Beth! Wait up!" She was in her underwear. Beth frowned. She didn't want to stay in the cramped locker room any longer than necessary. It smelled horrible and all the talk about Becca was making her uneasy.

Stephanie pouted. "Okay." Beth breathed a sigh of relief and stood outside the locker room door.
Mod
After a few minutes, Steph walked out. Her hair was down, because she absolutely hated ponytails.
Mod
Steph was being oddly silent today. "So..." Beth began. "You okay?"
Mod
Jeez, what was up with her? Beth had only asked to wait outside. Ot wasn't that big of a deal.
Mod
"Nothing!" Beth studied her friend. Okay, there was definitely something wrong.
Mod
"Alright, fine, I'll tell you."
