I have been re-reading SEP's STARS series in preparation for First Star I See Tonight

I'd forgotten what a great writer she was in this series.

I'm saving First Star for this long weekend when I can enjoy it uninterrupted.

First Star I See Tonight by SEP. Its excellent story. I was a little afraid how it turns out but it was very entertaining story and I loved it.

Kaleidoscope Eyes by Karen Ball. Stained Glass artist/search and rescue volunteer, Annie, has synesthesia, a condition where actual physical perceptions get crossed. Letters and numbers have their own colors.
Pretty good so far .. Book 2 in Family Honor Series.
(I am a sucker for S&R dog stories! So far..they have all been good.)

I've got the Southern Comfort series books and need to make time to read them. At $9.99 for the prequel set that is a good deal for me since I paid very little for the original series.

I bought the Southern Comfort Series (1st 5 books) in the set as well. It was definitely a good price and I really like her books.

I just finished the Believer by Ann Gabhart. Although I don't recommend the book it was about the Shaker religion. A Christian religion that died out after the Civil War. Finding about the religion was really kind of interesting, however the story wasn't. I would have rather read Wikipedia

Locked and Loaded by Mandy Baxter is #5 in the series but reads like a hot romantic-suspense standalone.

I read that book, gave it 5-stars and just don't remember it.

It was really good. About a scientist that invented a time machine, but a group called Wizard 9 went back in time and blew up the white house and killed both the president and the vice president. The scientist Charles (Chuck) goes seven years back in time prevent his younger self not to invent it. He does it though the heroine, Maggie who was killed in the future. I agree I rated it 5 stars.

Back to Once a Soldier But also listening to Living with Honor: A Memoir by America's First Living Medal of Honor Recipient Since the Vietnam War (so far really good!) and in the car I am listening to Queste (it is ok, thus not finishing it in the house)
