Reading a new author (to me) Debbie Burns. Her book: A New Leash on Love centers around Megan who is in charge of a no-kill pet shelter in St. Louis.
Enjoying this one and am 100 pages into the story.
(A tragedy in the hero's past is mentioned but not explained..so the author is keeping me in suspense right now.)

Not sure Dee. She will be 78 yrs old next April though. I suppose she could retire now and live off her profits,lol..

I would probably say retire too. I can't see her doing another series. I would love to see her write contemporary mystery standalones. Only time will tell.

I would look forward to the standalones as well Anita. One of the librarians here where I live said that she heard she was going to write some more. Maybe that will be it :)

I love Cindy Gerard and the Black Ops, Inc. Series. She is one of the best.

I'm not reading them a row. I have to seek them out from other libraries and read them as I get them. I'm really liking this series myself.

They are great as standalones, but so much better when read in order.

I used to autobuy Mallery, but no more. She seems to be into unrealistic, unbelievable plots I can't connect with and cardboard characters I don't like. I know I'm in the small minority here, but I'm done with Mallery. I'll re-read her earlier works I enjoyed.
