I have to agree!

I found Atticus the most appealing character in the series. I have to agree that there are plenty of strong female characters that interact with him. Also later on in the series there could be a romantic attachment for him.

The Morrigan Goddess chooser of the slain. Still has very small part.
Thats the best you can hope for

Hah yeah...love the widow!

agreed

in my mind she is Hot and Bad Ass.

I have only read as far as Hexed since the series is so new to me. But I have a feeling the Morrigan will take on a bigger part in each book, she's very layered, and definitely bad ass!!

No heroine...yet! The thing is the hero is so fascinating and fun that you really don't mind the lack of a heroine per say. Plus the women in the series for the most part are pretty kicka**! :-) I'm on book three and there seems to be a heroine developing. A very cool character. The series is definitely worth a read.

I would highly recommend it. There isn't a single woman in this series that doesn't have some measure of badass.

Short answer, yes. There are LOTS of good female characters and if you stay with this long enough, you really start to love it. The Morigan, the Goddess of War in Celtic Mythology, is a steady character throughout. You really need to stick with it to see how awesome she is. His apprentice is even better. Just stick with it. It's worth it. I'm hooked.

You are robbing yourself of a really great story if you don't go on. He has a thing about witches, and you would expect a Druid to have a thing about anyone who doesn't use natural magic.

There is a romance plot, but you have to keep reading to get to it. Don't skip the book, but open your mind and remember this is a Druid, his Gods, and other immortals you are reading about.

The plots are just ridiculous and the god killing keeps escalating. The thousands of years old druid acts like an immature boy.
I think if you don't like them in the beginning, you aren't going to like it in the end.
My husband likes these and continues to read them. Me, I'm done.

While the character of Atticus and his background is a fine concept and while the author says from the very beginning it's all just for fun, after a while it's just a little too facile. I prefer Gods to be awesome, even if they're often malicious.

It's the law. I don't know if it's a federal, state, or municipal one, no one has been able to clarify that for me, but I'm assured it's unquestionably the law.

In my opinion this series doesn't really need a heroine. This is Atticus's story. Yes there are plenty of female characters to go around they bring a bit of color to Atticus's life.
@Modi~I don't believe it's the law but it may be personal law for you. But for me, it's not a law that I need personally.
