Little Women by Louisa May Alcott Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1) by Richelle Mead Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

message 67: by Tammy K. (new)

Tammy K. (rambles_of_a_reader) | 147 comments On A Pale Horse the whole series.
The Dresden Files: Storm Front, Volume 1: The Gathering Storm again the whole series but this one got me hooked into the characters big time.
more modern book The Hunger Games the books was better then the movie was.
Year 50 now that one had me so hooked it was all I thought about for weekday afterwards. Even though I had just gave it 4 stars that was mostly due to editing and a few plot hole issues. But its an indie author who is still new to his craft. I can hardly wait for year 51 to be released.
finally I choose Odd Thomas the whole series.

message 97: by Gary (new)

Gary Bonn | 34 comments Round the bend
The Story of San Michelle
The Clowns of God
A Story Like The Wind
Titus Groan
All read when I was 15 - tricky to fix any of these into Y/A now, but we read anything then - not what we were told to read. If I were to stick to Y/A now:

The Fire Eaters
Vicky Angel
Mortal engines
Noughts and Crosses
Moominvalley in November - a children's book - but a mind-blower for Y/A & adults alike.
