That name idea is cute..maybe we should create a separate thread for it...However, I have only 2 letters in my name..so I might have to include my last name to get more books..LOL..
True..LOL..Tricia...my nickname "wayz" is actually spelled longer than my name..LOL..and yes..Yz is my real name...crazy parents...LOL
hehe I didnt know that about you, I assumed that was just a nickname :) That is very interesting to know!I do love the idea of *read your name*. Its very cute.

I like the idea too. However, not only does Yz have a short name, she's got tough letters. lol
Well, if Tasha won't mind, I'm going to create a challenge called Read Your Name...just for the fun of it.LOL..I know..my name is just weird..but it's okay..I'll figure something out.
yeah sure that's cool. i just didn't want to start another so soon on the heels of 'what's in a name.'

My list has alot of romance books but also alot of other books as well. I started reading some P.G. Wodehouse as well.
I see a couple of ppl have used the cataloguing rule of not using 'the' for the beginning word of the title for their challenge. Is this true too for 'a'? Cos' I'd like to use "a quick bit" by Lynsay Sands for my Q challenge.

Kasia, it's because of all these challenges that I'm reading like mad. However, I'm in a reading funk. I have soooooo many good books to read and every one I pick up I'm not in the mood to read???!!!!! Don't know what's up with that!
system overload? too much of the good stuff? I donno... maybe go for a walk, clear your head and then the mood will strike? No?
Stop reading for a day or two..LOL..i know, it sounds sacrilegious, but it usually works...its what they call READER'S BLOCK...LOL
I think I could relate too.. Normally, I'm the one-book-at-a-time reader. But lately, I pick up one and don't feel like reading them so I pick up another one. I might need a little break from reading. What I'm doing right now is go back and re-read the book that I really love. :)
Me too! That's what I want to be doing, but stupid me feels like I have to read the others to do my challenge/s. I know it's s'posed to be fun but there ya go.
Now finished 12/26 for the A-Z Book Challenge ! I can't believe it, I haven't read so much for years !

Christel don't worry it's not that late, there are still 9 months to go :DThough gals here tear though this challenge at a warp speed, I'm trying to pace myself and make it last... So don't stress.
Shazzy, I'm with you. I have an entire bookcase of books to read. Double stacked. So my rule is not to buy it unless absolutely necessary. Of course if I win it or it comes up on PBS... well... I am NOT turning away a free book! ROFL
Lady Ozma turning away a free book would be a crime, LOL. The way I do it is - take it, read it, pass it on if my living space is overflowing with books. But now, even though I have over 200 books lined up, my shelves are doing fine. Thank God for eBooks!
I get ebooks but I never read them because of not being able to take them on the go. :( When I could, I used to read them all the time. I try to limit that. We homeschool so we just have a lot of books. I've tried to thin out as much as I can. But I've always kept my reading stack at more maneagable levels. Well now i'm living by my mom so she hands me most of my books, which is great for my budget! But last year my landlady went fruity loops and evicted us. (We think she was running to foreclosure and was trying to get us out before we got served by the bank.) So I lost the great shelf in my closet I kept my TBR on. So I had to move it to my bookcases. Unfortunately I only had one empty shelf on my bookcase and no room to buy another bookcase. So I had to give one bookcase to my TBR and I just can't seem to make my books work on one less bookcase. :(
I agree though. Passing up a free book is criminal.

My kids have checked out X-Men graphic novels/comic books and maybe some YA simple read books. I got an X-Men meets Star Trek book but can't remember the title. There are X-Files books as well.
You can scroll up and and see what everyone else has found for any particular letter. I'm going to read "(The) XYZ murders by Ellery Queen". (Also helping with Q author for A-Z authors.)
Zodiac for "Z". I have not read it so I have no idea if it is any good. I personally am going to look for a sci-fi novel. They have some interesting titles. Star Trek for starters.
