Hahaha that's awesome! My parents are moving back to town, so I'm going to make my mother get a library card so that I can have an extra 10 books I can check out from Overdrive. :)

message 2103: by bamaace83 (new)

bamaace83 | 1263 comments The mini is awesome. I like that you can use all the reading apps too because sometimes a book will be free on the nook but not the kindle and vice versa.

Hehe, the more library cards the better. :) I'm loving the checking out from the library. I just figured it out a few weeks ago. It really helps with all these challenges because there are some authors that I'm not sure if I wanna pay money for but renting them is okay in my book.

Jane (PS) | 24340 comments Welcome Humaira, Minesha and Anna (the only time I will remember your real name, Bamaace83 ;)!

My local library is too small to have anything much in it :( ...So I was thrilled to be able to sign up to the library in our state capital because I work there. It has a half decent selection of audio from very mainstream authors. But in the end I've joined Audible as well - I LOVE my audiobooks. They keep me sane :)

That is a little freaky!

Hi Zara and Leonie!!

message 2111: by Zara's Retreat (new)

Zara's Retreat | 932 comments I thought it was freaky as well.

I'll let you all in on a secret, Leonie is my daughter. However, having said that I certainly didn't realise until the other day that the first romance we had read was not only the same one, but also the same series. I introduced Leonie to this series in the first place but that wouldn't necessarily mean she would take me up on the suggestion and it therefore become the first romance book that she would read. LOL

I know I love this site. I hope my daughter does as well. I love seeing all the different books that people read which are far more than I can count. It doesn't help keep my TBR list small that's for sure. LOL

That is so cool Zara! I love that you are sharing your love of books with your daughter - that it is romance is the icing on the cake! My kids all love to read, but don't share my love for happy endings ~sigh~

lol...I just put up a thing about favorite colors in another group and what they say about you. The funny thing is, I didn't include grey because I didn't think anyone would have it as a favorite color but seems it's not uncommon at all.

With gray as your favorite color, you are the middle of the road type, cool, conserved, composed and reliable. You tend to conform just to keep the peace.

message 2125: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24340 comments Welcome Victoria and Maren/Selenay!!! I read my first Kristen Ashley this month, Victoria - and really enjoyed it. Will definitely read another one :)

Maren - you could be the first here with grey as your favourite colour! I can't recall seeing it ;)

Ian (setaian) | 203 comments Lauren (aplpeach) wrote: "What does Green say? "

If green is your favorite, you have a deep need to belong, to love and be loved, and to feel safe and secure. You need acceptance and acknowledgment for the everyday things you do for others - just a 'thank you' is sufficient.

Green is apparently the second most liked color after blue.

Jane (PS) | 24340 comments LOL - Delaina, that is pretty extreme! I use GR instead of spreadsheets for that sort of stuff ;)

Hey Tiff - nice to see you in this thread :)

Brandilyn *bumping into you here as well as in the MM Group* - I think your birthday may be very very very close to Fran's!

message 2135: by Lawrence (new)

Lawrence Grodecki (lawrencegrodecki) Spread sheets seem like a natural complement to erotica.

My favorite food is chocolate, cheesecake, cherries and so many others - I tend to waffle on the subject - then there are my eggs. I prefer them to be anything but grey or green, or blue for that matter.

My favorite color varies with the flower or the leaf.

I'm not a book addict.

But Game of Thrones is helping soothe me a little.

message 2144: by ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (last edited May 13, 2013 11:36AM) (new)

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 86 comments Birthday: August 2

Favorite Color: Blue, but purple is a close second

Favorite Food: Oh boy... Italian, Mexican, Chinese, baked chicken, mashed potatoes, baked goods, coffee, hot chocolate, lemonade, ice water.

First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): It was probably a Silhouette Desire but I don't remember now. In high school, my best friend read just about every Harlequin and Silhouette that was released so I know it was something she let me borrow. I used to subscribe to Silhouette Desire and Harlequin Intrigue and I think Silhouette Bombshell. Oh, and Silhouette Special Edition. I wonder what I've done with all of those books!

Favorite Romance Genre: Toss-up between contemporary (esp. with humor) or romantic suspense.

Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because my library account is almost always maxed out (10 items at a time) and I rarely leave the library empty-handed. Also, have you seen my TBR? And then there are the book cases full of books. Oh, and the fact that I find sleep to be an interference when I'd rather just read.
