message 51: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments They've sold the house here and agreed on a house there. It's just the business of waiting for officialdom to get its finger out! We hope they'll be settled there before the school summer holidays to give littlies chance to make friends before the break.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I do hope all goes smoothly.

How many hours from you will they be then?

message 53: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Lots. Hull to Bristol.
Like Hull to Mull whiich we've just done. The rhyming destination game. Goole to Poole. :)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Aw that's just a nice jaunt! You Brits don't know from long journeys. :)

message 55: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Before I moved to Scotland if I had to travel over an hour to get somewhere it wasn't worth going unless you stopped overnight. An hour and a half? Well that's a weekend break at least.

message 56: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Will send the story over once Patti has read it, Ignite. Geez that woman is soooooooooooo slow! lol

message 57: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Anyone would think she had something else to do!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I'm getting there!

About half-way now.

It keeps making me chortle. :)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Done!

Love it! So funny!!!!

message 60: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Busy bee!!!! :-)

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments I should have finished part two of my very short auto biography soon. Part one was about ages 0 to 20 and was frankly a bit dull apart from the incident with the pineapple. Part two isn't much better but I have lied quite a lot.

message 62: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) typical man Simon. Have you exaggerated a bit too? :-)

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments M wrote: "typical man Simon. Have you exaggerated a bit too? :-)"

You will only find that out after our romantic meal for two....

message 64: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) ooo er!!! :-)

Vic Heaney (vic_heaney) | 689 comments Patti (Stir Crazy) wrote: "Aw that's just a nice jaunt! You Brits don't know from long journeys. :)"

Ahem!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yeah okay. I over generalised a bit there.

Apart from Vic, you Brits don't know from long journeys. ;)

Just emailed you my notes, Ms Comley.

Simon, I'm happy to beta read your bio, if you like.

Going to read through a short story Shaun sent me ages ago now.

First, I'm unplugging my phone!

message 67: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Have you exaggerated the size of your pineapple then Simon?

Just had a piece from Vic too - this is going to be so good!

message 68: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Sent it back Patti.

Kath it should be with you soon! :-)

message 69: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Great. Things are hotting up!

M.A. Comley (melcom) Excellent. I'll put the book in my signature on Kindleboards, hopefully it'll get some sales over in the States. :-)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh Mel, that'd be so good of you! You're lovely.

Just going to read through the changed copy now.

Not Guilty m'lud.

PS I have been camping - & I had mentioned it to Patti before I went that I wouldn't be around as I wouldn't have access to internet. Have had a good rest, plenty of fresh air, walking, birdwatching and sightseeing. Only 73 photos though. & not much reading at all.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yeah I'm such a dope Janet. Too many groupites all went off on holiday at the same time.

Not fair really. I'd like a holiday. :(

message 77: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Patti you're always on holiday! :-(

Stephen Livingston | 38 comments A Splendid Salmagundi - I like the proposed title. I'll contribute a short story if you want one from me.
Best wishes, Stephen Livingston.

Ignite is the go-to girl. Send her a message with info about what you'd like to contribute.

message 100: by M.A. (new)
