Melanie Schneider (madamemelli) Hey, I'm Melanie, 26 years old and from Germany,

I recently read You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) by Felicia Day and discovered this goodreads group because of it.
I like a lot of different genres but mostly I love fantasy. So I'm excited to discover new books! About two years ago I discovered Steampunk and I adore this genre, I know a lot of small publishers with Steampunk and through them I get to know a lot of authors. Because of that I started writing again but I'm not in a good writing flow yet.
From time to time I also like a good thriller :)

New Age | 1 comments Hi I'm Alex and I have vaginal fantasies everyday lol

message 753: by Gembee (new)

Gembee | 1 comments Hi everyone I'm Gem. New to this genre, watched my first vaginal fantasy hang out and really enjoyed it. Appreciated the discussions. Generally read fantasy, historical fiction. Reading game of thrones currently and I love cats. Looking forward to learning more about this group x

message 754: by Elia (new)

Elia Winters (eliawinters) | 1 comments Howdy, folks! I'm excited to be joining the group and the discussions. A bit ashamed that I didn't find this place earlier, as the mission is right up my alley.

That sounded dirtier than I intended. Usually I want my dirty words intentional.

I'm an avid reader, also an author of geeky, kinky romance. I'm looking forward to chatting about some female-focused genre fiction!

message 755: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (stephsco) Hellooo also just found this group from seeing Felicia Day tweet about it. I write young adult books but I'm in Romance Writers of America, so I hear about and read a lot of adult market romance. I love the idea of this group--it sounds fun but still keeping it positive and not hating on romance. I just spent the day with my writers chapter at a lit fest where we repped romance among the masses. Very encouraging. Glad to be here :)d

message 756: by Gina (new)

Gina | 3 comments Hi I'm Gina, 25, from Dallas, TX. Very new to the genre. I found out about this group from Felicia Days' book. Can't wait to start reading!

message 757: by Sheridan (new)

Sheridan Cooper | 1 comments Hi everyone,

I'm an avid reader of romance. I stepped away after getting married, i'm now ready to get back to my books. I also write beautiful stories to pass time. See the link https://www.amazon.com/Until-Dark-for...

message 758: by Segilola (new)

Segilola Salami (segilolasalami) | 5 comments Hi all,

Just joining this group, hope to connect with most of you soon enough

I love all types of fantasy books as long as they are well written.

I'm an author myself, I write children's books. Saying that I am delving into adult fiction (paranormal romance) under the pen name Elizabeth Salawu. First book 'Abiku: A Battle Of Gods' is available for pre-order now on Amazon

I feel introductions are like giving an oscar speech . . . ok what else? I am a mom and a podcaster . . . I could go on and on but feel free to ask me anything :D

message 759: by Word Worthy (new)

Word Worthy Books (wordworthybooks) hey i'm kinda new here. i mean i've known about this for some time but until i looked at the list of books that have been already done i figured it was for different kind of book than i'd be likely to read. I've been watching the converations on the two that i have read, and it's very frustrating to have not been a part of that conversation when it was relevant.
So i fgured i love to read, and maybe i could be a part of a community, as there's nothing like this locally for me.
I'm heather
35, 2 kids, 1 husband, i've been a book worm forever, i love comics, movies, tv shows, cake decorating, karate, books, lego, board games, computer games (assasins creed, skyrim, mario, zelda, dragon age, fallout, and so on), card games, rpg games, writing and pretty much all geekery.
I"m happy to geek out with anyone about any thing i have passion for which is a lot of things and i love a good debate.

message 760: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (crimsontyd) | 1 comments Hi! I have heard good things regarding this group, so I thought I would join. I used to read way more romance than I do now, and as a result I am not in the know as far as discovering wonderful newer authors. I look forward to trying out some of the reads recommended in this group. I am 49. I live in Florida. I am married. I have 2 dogs. I have grown children and one grandchild. I make potions and concoctions using herbs and essential oils and such. I love baking and biking and taking pictures. Reading is a balm to my soul and I have no idea what I would do without it.

message 761: by Liz (last edited Aug 16, 2016 01:10PM) (new)

Liz | 1 comments Hi! I am new to the group and channel! I love to read, write stories, knit, paint watercolors, coloring (adult coloring books) and a bunch more! I love the following genres:
Fantasy
Romance (This includes Erotica)
Fan fiction
Suspense (I am specifically thinking of books like Lightening by Dean R. Koontz and others)
History (includes fiction and romance)

There are other genres but I can't think of them, off the top of my head. I am happily married and proud parent. I can't wait to get started reading (this groups books) in September!

message 762: by Kasi (new)

Kasi Blake (kcblake) | 2 comments Hey. New here. I am the author of 13 books, mainly YA Paranormal Fantasy, but I wrote a few Romantic Suspense for Harlequin. Some of my books are Indies and a few are published with Clean Teen. I work as a full-time writer now, and in my spare time (like what's that huh?) I hang with friends, go hiking, read, and watch Supernatural. :)

message 763: by Queen (new)

Queen Talk Talk (queentalktalk) | 15 comments Hello all. My real name is Tammy but on-line I am usually Queen Talk Talk. I have not purposely read romance in years. I think I will try it again. Mostly I read Science Fiction, Humor, Fantasy, or Mysteries.

message 764: by D.H. (new)

D.H. Jonathan Hello, my name is Dan, and I live in Fort Worth, TX. I read all kinds of stuff, although lately, I have stuck to literary fiction. I also write, and my debut novel The "Volunteer" was just published a couple of months ago. I had trouble categorizing it. I wound up listing it as erotica, although there's very little actual sex in it. There is a romance element to it, but the romance is not the main focus of the story. I started writing it for fun when I was suffering writer's block on my "serious" novel, but the story really came together. I love Dani, the main character, who chooses to become the central figure in a sociological experiment in public nudity.

In addition to reading and writing, I also model for art classes when my schedule allows. In 2001, I was a contestant on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and host Regis Philbin seemed to have a good time talking to me about my nude modeling job.

message 765: by Christa (new)

Christa Hi everyone, my name is Christa and I'm a crazy reader. You will never find me without a book in my hand. I'll read almost anything except for select genres like zombie apocalypse books. I consider romance books to be my guilty pleasure and a way to escape the seriousness of life. The fluffier and sillier the better! I'm a big fan of Nora Roberts, Amanda Quick, Jayne Castle, Christine Feehan and Catherine Coulter. I've been gravitating more towards paranormal romance lately and leaving my "bodice ripper" friends behind. I like a good story with strong female characters but I'm also drawn to these hyper-masculine Navy SEAL or military-focused books where the men are incredibly over-protective of "their women."

I'm a Lord of the Rings geek and am in the process of covering my skin with LOTR themed tattoos. I recently took 9 months and read the entire Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan and fell in love with Egwene, Nynaeve and the world-building of Andor. Maybe someday, I'll hear my Aes Sedai calling.

message 766: by Marina (new)

Marina Lovechild | 4 comments Hey everyone! My name's Marina, a writer and avid reader of romance. I specialize in erotica as a writer, but I enjoy any type of romance as a reader. :)

message 767: by Heather (new)

Heather McFarlane (arachnapheria) | 15 comments Hi everyone, my name is Heather and I am an obsessive reader and WoW player from Northumberland, England. I've joined the group a few days ago after finding Vaginal Fantasies via Felicias The Flog which I was watching in an evening to take my mind off my mother being severely ill in hospital. Unfortunately, my mother passed away on Saturday night and I now feel the need to reach out to other humans (minus the physical contact part). Ok, back on topic. I am not fussy about what genre I read although I have been a fan of Stephen King and Terry Pratchett since I was a teenager. As far as I'm concerned, as long as it's a good story then I will read the crap out of it. I look forward to getting to know you all :)

message 768: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (anniebanannie312) | 11 comments Hi All,

My name is Alexis and I'm from Hawai'i. I love reading, but while I was in school, I didn't have much time for reading anything but textbooks. Now I've graduated and am working full time. Since my commute is 2+ hours every day, I've been tag teaming audiobooks while I'm driving and e-books when I get home. When I'm not being a workaholic, I like to play video games and cook.

message 772: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (thesarahpalooza) Hi, I'm Sarah. I joined Sword and Laser some months back and on listening to their podcasts realised there was this group, where I could enjoy these types of books without embarassment!!

However, I'm about to start two different postgrad courses and keep working part-time in Jan 2017, so I'm just going to skulk around until I have more time to add another book group to my reading.

elizabeth • paper ghosts (paperghosts) Hello, I'm Liz! In an effort to become more active on Goodreads and to rediscover my passion for reading, I decided to join. I read just about every genre there is (perks of working in a library - SO MANY THINGS sound so, so good to read), but my ultimate guilty pleasure is romance - historical romance, paranormal romance, urban fantasy romance...all of it! I could eat steamy (and slightly cheesy) romance with a spoon.

I'm really looking forward to hopefully reading along with the group and diving into some of the discussions. :D

message 774: by Ms (new)

Ms (msgusset) Why I'm here: "Where are the romances with strong female characters?" has always been at the front of my mind.

message 775: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelbenoit) Hi! I'm Rachel: avid reader, native Jersey girl, and full-time musician. I joined Goodreads in August and have been checking out different groups. I've been a fan of Felicia Day for a while, and I love this group. The only group read that I've read so far is Romancing the Duke, but I'm ready to participate more this year! Feel free to follow me here on Goodreads; I'm always looking to make friends with fellow readers!

message 777: by Laz (new)

Laz the Sailor (laz7) I am a refugee from the Erotica Group, looking for a place where a lot of people are discussing smut in all its forms. VF was recommended to me, and I am looking forward to exploring the shelves and joining the conversations.

message 779: by Sarah (new)

Sarah P | 31 comments Hi everyone!

I'm from Montreal and I decided to join first because I've been following Felicia's work for many years, and second because I always need a little direction choosing what I'm going to read next. In my thirties, most of my friends have quit reading regularly because we are apparently busy, so I'm happy to join a community where I'll be able to discuss books with fellow interested readers. If anyone else is from Montreal, I posted a comment on the local hangouts thread to see if anyone would be interested to start one in our area. Montreal, Quebec Canada that it... French or English :)

message 780: by Jen (new)

Jen (bookaholicmom) Hi everyone!

I found this group after reading Felicia's biography and I couldn't wait to join. I meant to write an intro earlier but I've been sick. I'm an avid reader and a blogger. I'm fully immersed in the book world on FB but this is really my first foray into the groups on GR.

I'm a SAHM from WA and I'm always around to discuss books. I can't wait to jump in on the discussions.

message 781: by Fiona (new)

Fiona (deifio) Hi!
I'm from Germany. I heard about VF ages ago, but I thought it was not for me. Then a friend who mostly reads Paranormal Fantasy lent me several of her books. And I thought those were pretty fun, so I looked at the past picks of VF and saw some of my friends books as picks!
So here I am!

message 782: by Rey (new)

Rey | 1 comments Hello!

I'm Rey. I really like watching the video discussions of the books. I wish I had a crew to talk about books with too. I read mostly scifi and memoirs, but having fun discovering fantasy and romance too.

Best to all!

message 783: by Bex (new)

Bex (tezzatipoca) | 8 comments What up What up! Sorry I just had to... be ridiculous. I've watched like 3 hours of VF on youtube in the last 3 days. I read sporadically. It's kind of like running. I LOVE reading just like I LOVE jogging but you don't see me doing it every day! ... or ever. So I need motivation. And just listening to the podcast the last couple days has made me feel so empowered! I feel less like I have to apologize for... you know... existing. General about me stuff:

I'm 29. I live in Ohio--recently moved here (Yes I am PSYCHED that we have a group here in Dayton! Venus Fly Traps, watch out!) I currently do not have a job but I am working on blogging, vlogging, and dreaming for the future. I can't believe VF has been going for 5 years. You guys rock. Ok wrapping up. I'm really nerdy and weird. PM me. Bye!

Also, what a perfect day to join! On V-Day! Happy V-Day folks!

-Rebecca

message 784: by Brianna (new)

Brianna (absentbree) | 1 comments Hello!
I'm pretty fraking excited to be here and to get to know you all!

Let's see. About me. How do I do this without making it seem like a dating application?

Well, I am 28. I'm a single mom - never been married- to a little elfin daughter named Avery. She's four, and at this very moment we are arguing over where we should move. I vote for the Austin area, she's pulling for Mars. I guess we'll have to compromise.

I currently work from home creating fandom inspired coffee sleeves. Whatever the fans want, we try to have. It's pretty fun! My big passion is writing. I tried for 10 years to deny that was what I was supposed to be doing, but now I have come to own it. I'm a storyteller. I write...everything. I HATE being boxed in. I write fiction, but I also am working on a nonfiction about my father's life entitled "Simple Man.". I want to write for TV, write graphic novels, write on the bathroom walls. Don't care, I just need to do it :)

Let's see. I love reading (obviously). I was homeschooled growing up, and I read all the time. I mostly read classical literature. Anything written before 1950 was my jam. I finally started branching out in my 20's only to learn that I really enjoy ANYTHING with a good story. Genre doesn't matter to me.

I knit and crochet, I am an herbalist and went through courses to be a postpartum Douala. I read tarot for a living for a few years. I don't really watch much TV, but for some reason I got hooked on like, 5 different TV shows (2 of which are ended) and fan girl madly over them. I love science, anything to do with Cosmology, astrology, and astro-physics makes me happy.
I just plain ol' love this mysterious, nerdy, crazy life I lead.

I've been a solo reader of the books in this group from the beginning, but I recently got appointed as an event coordinator at a book store/café in Cardiff, UK. I was wondering if there is any call for a Welsh local hangout out there? Please someone help me make this a thing!

You should create a new topic (click the link at the top right) in the Local Hangouts & Meet-Ups folder and title it "Cardiff, UK". If anyone out there is interested, they can respond there.

I'm 27 and from Germany and wanted to join for some time now, but i am also the sometimes co-host of a german feminist-lgbtqa+ twitter bookclub and who has spoons for more?

Well, i decided to join now as i am writing a term paper about online bookclubs and communication through them and vaginal fantasy is kinda the first big feminist online bookclub and therefore super important for my paper.
I mean i also always wanted to join but now i can pretend i'm doing work for college höhöhö

message 788: by Natalie (new)

Natalie C | 5 comments Hi everyone! I'm Natalie

And I love female-lead novels. Whether it's fantasy or mystery. I just love how strong they are. My favorites include the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews, the Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison and Archangel by Sharon Shinn.

I think I know all the popular books in bookstores. But I joined Goodreads in the hope that I'd find great books I don't know about

Also, I'm really looking forward to talking to fellow bibliophiles about favorite series

You may try also creating flyers and leave them in places where readers frequent. Second hand bookstores, bookstores, coffee shops, and libraries, for instance. That would narrow the focus of your call to just your locals and give it a personal touch. I hope that helps!

But by way of introduction, I'm a 28 year old Creativity Coach in Houston, TX. I love reading, writing, and emotionally investing myself in things that are even remotely interesting (television shows, books, people...).

I stumbled upon Vaginal Fantasy when looking for a free version of Elizabeth Haydon's 'Rhapsody' on YouTube. Imagine my surprise as a heterosexual female when I mumbled quietly in my cubicle about being mystified by something involving a vagina.

'Allo. Good evenings. Good readings.

Malinda (malindad) Hi All. My name is Malinda and I'm a single 46 year old that works in IT and lives in Arizona. I have 2 cats (Bengal cats) and read a lot. I enjoy a number of book series that have strong heroines as their main character so when I saw this group I was very interested in joining to find more books with strong heroines. I look forward to chatting with everyone. :D

message 791: by Fran (last edited Apr 25, 2017 07:37AM) (new)

Fran | 2 comments Hi all! I've been a lurker around here for a while but I figured it was time to introduce myself! I'm a lifelong lover of books, and fantasy is one of my favorite genres.

I love the Outlander books with a passion. Actually it may be a pretty unhealthy addiction. I just started CW Wilson's Tarien Soul series, which has potential. In the YA area I adore Libba Bray. Especially the Gemma Doyle trilogy but really anything she writes. I recently enjoyed Katherine Harbour's Thorn Jack trilogy.
I also enjoy less "vaginal" fantasy like Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, Neil Gaiman, and Patrick Rothfuss.

I spent my childhood reading fairy tales which has continued into adulthood. I have a taste for fairy tale retellings. I also write them. I am currently in the process of trying to publish my first novel. You can find out more about that here: http://franlaniado.wordpress.com

I look forward to talking about books here, and hopefully getting (and giving) recommendations.

I spend too much time on YouTube and love reading paranormal fantasy and SciFi. Not much of a writer myself but I have written some poems and erotica before. Just wanted to drop in and say hi.

message 793: by Stacy (new)

Stacy (stacyrasberry) | 12 comments Hello! I just joined yesterday, but have watched a few youtube videos. My wife listens to them all the time and turned me on to it. I've been wanting to join a book club but just moved to a small town and don't know anyone but my family. So this is a good place to start for me. I love erotica and fantasy so I'm excited to read the books suggested here and hear other people's opinions.

I also enjoy mystery and thrillers (I've read Sue Grafton's ABC series, can't wait for "Y" to come out). And VC Andrews is another favorite author.

The FountainPenDiva, Old school geek chick and lover of teddy bears (thefountainpendiva) Greetings all!

I joined this group last week and have been lurking around. An avid reader who has more books than clothes, I'm always looking for great reads with strong heroines, but reads with diverse heroines as leads. And I've got lots of great books to suggest on that score. Feel free to ask.

message 798: by Kim (new)

Kim (kimmyj) hi all :)

Greetings from down under. I'm a bookworm, scifi and gamer geek since as long as i can remember :)

I joined here as I totally fangirl (can I say fangirl or do I have to say fan woman when i'm 41?) crushed on FD after reading her book. I swear that book could have been written about me! I'm married to my awesomely cool geek hubby with two furkids. We used to be both heavily into MMORPG's particularly EverQuest but haven't been into it much the last few years. This is the first group I've joined on Goodreads and I'm really passionate about finding strong hero chick books! :)
