Nicole D. (thereadingrebel) | 1278 comments I can see why you can't find the North and South discussion sense of all places it started in the what song are you listening to thread. How did that start again?

Happy you enjoyed it.It was darker but still beautiful. It was nice to see the guy who played Churchill in a nice role(I have only ever seen him in a down right evil sick role and his role of Frank the jerk).

message 662: by Aerykah (new)

Aerykah | 2071 comments Oh my goodness! All this talk about N&S makes me want to watch it again!! ;D I think I'll go turn it on... ;)

A favorite scene of mine is when Margaret shakes Thornton's hand after insulting him earlier by refusing to do so. It was such a simple gesture, but it really showed that she was willing to make an effort to understand & adjust to her new surroundings.

YES!!!!! although her dress is so awkward lol ;P

I have no idea!

I liked seeing him in a nice role as well, as apposed to Frank the Jerk indeed! He wasn't in it much though...

That was one of my fav scenes. The simple handshake! I was so annoyed when she tried to shake his hand the first time! And then the 'handshake' (more hand hold) at the station scene! So sweet!!

Alyssa (lady_grace) | 166 comments I'm currently watching Berkeley Square - have any of you guys seen it?

Caity | 4434 comments Mod
I have not..

message 677: by Alyssa (last edited May 27, 2013 04:16PM) (new)

Alyssa (lady_grace) | 166 comments According to a description of it I found, Berkeley Square is about "three young women from very different backgrounds who meet, become friends and share experiences when they all gain positions as nannies in the wealthy households of London's exclusive Berkeley Square." It's a romance set in 1902. It was okay, but not my favorite - there was some bad words, a bit of violence, and some *other* borderline scenes. :/ The ending wasn't completely satisfactory - and I'm a sucker for perfect, happily-ever-after endings. ;) It fell a bit short of that. It was eight hours long, but I did enjoy it. :)
