I just started Richard K. Morgan's The Steel Remains. Although, I'm only half done, I like it enough to know what my next read will be - the sequel.

I've been reading a bunch of Dresden books in tandem with Always Coming Home, and am now sort of burned out on UF, I think. I decided to begin my re-read of WOT (haven't read any of the Sanderson books) and started reading The Eye of the World on the train this morning.

Well, I gave in and got The Hunger Games. I read the first 5 chapters sitting in the waiting room at Big O Tires waiting for 2 new tires on my truck. It's going a lot better so far than Game of Thrones.

Read the Dark Tower series years ago & re-read them again last year. Looking forward to catching up with the an-tet.

Finished The Sword & Sorcery Anthology, which I'd highly recommend, and started Throne of the Crescent Moon.

This month I've read Glen Cook's Chronicles of The Black Company, The Books of the South: Tales of the Black Company, and The Return of the Black Company. All amazing books with great characters.
Also read Anne Bishop's Shalador's Lady, The Shadow Queenand The Invisible Ring. These weren't as good, edgy nor dark as her original The Black Jewels Trilogy: Daughter of the Blood, Heir to the Shadows, Queen of the Darkness but I still enjoyed them.
Most recently finished Peter V. Brett's The Warded Manand The Desert Spear. The story is so compelling I couldn't put these books down. The only bad thing about the series is having to wait until February for the third installment The Daylight War.
Currently, I'm reading Prince of Thorns. The writing style has a unique rhythm and the main character is somewhat of a sociopath (understatement)but in the charismatic just got to love him sense (maybe I should get my own head examined). I'm half way through and enjoying it.

I know what you might feel... it is harder for me to get into as well... but as with previous books, I managed to find some anchors to keep my attention through the harder parts - which is the Crippled God (view spoiler)[and I think he was the one who had the Sengar sword made and thus I guess this will be the source of Sengar curse... but anyway, Crippled God (hide spoiler)]... and then, all new places, new characters, bulging glossary and all... but then again, similar shock I experienced when reading Deadhouse gates and having to get familiar with all new Seven Cities... whereas MoI and HoC were easier to read since I was already familiar with the places, or vaguely so

Was really hoping to be into The Hero of Ages at this point, but the library didn't have it and I'm on the thin side of my bank account at the moment, so.... picked up The Wise Man's Fear from the library. Only a few chapters in, but I like the way Rothfuss brings the reader back into the story, especially since I read The Name of the Wind several months ago.

I'm in the middle of reading Reckless by Cornelia Funke, and am loving it! I have exams next week, so I'm only managing about 20 pages a day before I collapse into bed, so won't finish it until next month... but it really has me hooked. Not quite as good as the Inkheart series, though, but still really good :)

I just started Neil Gaiman's American Gods. I tried Gaiman before. I know he is popular, but I struggle with his books. Dont' really know why, just don't like him. This book is my book club current read---so I will be finishing it!

I also listening to David Farland's Wizardborn. This is the third book in the series of The Runelords. Farland's descriptions are very rich, sometimes too rich and bogs the story down. But I am enjoying the twist on magic. It comes in the form of personal endowments, such as wit or brawn, that are taken from one person and given to another.
