I was still really imagining SHAILENE & ANSEL on this one. Still can't get over TFIOS. But in case this is gonna be a movie in the future I want EMMA WATSON and ALEX PETTYFER

EMMA ROBERTS could play ALASKA too. All the EMMA's can. But I'm still rooting for EMMA STONE on this one.
Am I the only one who thinks Emma stone is too old? Because she really is to play a 16 or 17 year old girl...

I imagined Alaska as Kaya Scodelario she's so good, you should all see her acting in Skins. Because Effy was almost like Alaska though.
Skins is over now. I doubt she'll want to go back to another effy.
I was picturing Alexandra Daddario and Ellen Page.

Yeah for some reason I also pictured her as a blonde. Weird, eh?

I imagined her with orangish brownish hair, kind of mahogany I guess.

Obviously if they ever do make a movie they will cast someone pretty because it's Hollywood, but I don't think Alaska was supposed to be as drop-dead gorgeous as some people are envisioning.. John Green even admitted that she was probably just an average looking high school girl, but since the descriptions of her were always through Miles' eyes, she appeared to be more beautiful than she actually was. So I would hope they would cast someone who looks much more the right age, someone who still might be a little awkward and young looking. Not someone who is clearly 23+ and insanely gorgeous.

I thought Shelley Hennig, Sasha Pieterse, Shay Mitchell, and Troian Bellisario. I feel like they'd be able to carry the emotional scenes weight. Also, Holland Roden might be a good adittion to the film, but not as Alaska.
Rose Leslie (Ygritte frm Game of Thrones) all the way. Always imagined her as a skinny redhead, I'm surprised so many pictured her blonde.
I imagined someone like Mary Elizabeth Winsted, but with Kaya Scodelario's eyes-- but green-- and Amber Heard's jawline. I combine faces whilst I read, instead of nit-picking them.
I also see Amber Heard or strangely Willa Holland
Taylor Momsen would be great, but Alaska isn't blond and I can't imagine Taylor without that blonde hair. Willa Holland would be a good choice, but for me at least, Jennifer Lawrence would be the perfect Alaska Young.

Honestly, when I first heard her name, I thought black would suit her name the best and the only person I could imagine Alaska Young as is Megan Fox. Mysterious and somewhat unpredictable, and romantic of course. Another actress that came to mind was Willa Holland from Arrow.
I looked up willa holland and I have to disagree I'm sorry :/
well, if I have to be 100 % honest, I imagined her as myself because her character is really close to mine. But maybe Blake Lively looks really alike..

Imagination is the crux to reading, its a beautiful thing. I did not see a celebrity or aeon i can recognise as Alaska, i usually do, i don't know why this was different i just saw her clearly in my mind and that was enough. Kaya Scodelario should play Alaska though.
I don't know why but during the whole book I imagined her as Annalynn Mccord.And then I found out that she actually had dark hair.

I don't know why but I think of her as someone Asian with sharp eyes, dark straight shoulder length hair and pale skin. It was stupid cuz my Alaska was not anywhere near as what John has mentioned.
Kaya Scodelario is exactly how I pictured Alaska in my head as I read the book. She has the perfect look for the part. If you don't know who she is, she's playing Teresa in The Maze Runner movie. Look her up. She's Alaska.
