There is a boy who goes in for a regular checkup, but for some reason ends up getting surgery to see better inside of him. While he is getting opened up, he wakes up and sees the doctors confused and wondering about what's inside of him. He manages to escape the hospital. I don't remember much after that except he finds a place to live in. It's a girl that smokes and drinks and she makes illegal credit cards and passports. I remember he opens himself up once and actually sees that he has shiny metal stuff surrounding his organs. The girl and him (after many fights) end up teaming together to find out about him.
I won't spoil anymore, but I can't find the book anywhere... Google won't give me the name of the book, and I can't remember what was on the cover of the book. Can anybody tell me what the name of this book is?

Jessie--you can include spoilers in a post, since many times that is what is needed for people to help you find books. You can hide spoilers in a post. Type < @poiler> at the front of the spoilers and then type < /@poiler> at the end, changing the @ to an S and don't leave any spaces.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 1396 comments Ann, Great way to explain it without having to go by the formatting. I'm going to remember that for when I explain HTML shortcuts to people. Thanks.

And, Jessie, I hope you find your book!

Being -- I'm pretty sure this is the book, if the OP ever checks back in.

Jessie Zus | 2 comments YES! Kate thank you so much!!! Wow, I don't even know how you found that but it's a relief to be able to have an answer.
Thank you again.

Jesse, I read this book just a couple of months ago, so it was easy to remember. Enjoy!
