C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Cool. And I don't have a driver's license either. I don't know when I may take the test... though I don't have a permanent source of transportation other than taking the bus.

1.I am part Filapeno.
2.Sometimes I ("we") likes to do Sméagol's voice.
3.My first name Chris is named after my uncle (dad's brother) who died when I was in second grade.

message 552: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmm, 1?

message 553: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I trust Leslie’s intuition.

message 554: by Ariel (new)

Ariel Hudnall (arielhud) I'm going to go with three.

message 555: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Three.

message 556: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments The answer is... number three! Sorry but this one is kind of a downer. My uncle's name was not Chris but he died when I was much older. And Kat to respond to your 2 we all including me struggle at times with feeling down... lucky though you have ur mateys at the good ole ship to pick you up and find the joys in these here seas!

message 557: by [deleted user] (new)

Harhar, I never get it right :)

message 558: by Ariel (new)

Ariel Hudnall (arielhud) Woohoo! I got it, though that is a sad story.

Lesse...

1. I once fell off a second floor balcony and landed on my feet.
2. I graduated high school when I was 15.
3. I used to routinely pick up wild snakes to show my dad, starting when I was seven years old.

message 559: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I'm guessing that you graduated from high school at sixteen, and that #2 is the lie.

message 560: by Ariel (new)

Ariel Hudnall (arielhud) Wow! Nice one :) you'd be correct yes. I graduated at 16, not 15.

message 561: by M (last edited May 24, 2013 05:25AM) (new)

M | 11617 comments One and three didn't seem as unlikely as two, but if I upped the age by a year, #2 didn't seem any less likely than the others.

message 562: by [deleted user] (new)

I would have chosen 3 and be wrong again :)

1. My 3yr old daughter and I have stitch marks on our forehead.
2. I am a part time make-up artist but I don't wear make up.
3. I was a member of a band.

message 563: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments 2?

message 564: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Hmm... Number one?

message 565: by [deleted user] (new)

No. 3 :))

message 566: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Number 5?

message 567: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I've not tried this game before. It seems rather odd.

Okay, here goes.

1) I was hit by a car when I was 8.
2) My first dog was hit by a car and died in my arms.
3) My father taught me to pan for gold when I was 9.

message 568: by [deleted user] (new)

5. I play the piano, guitar, flute, violin, saxophone, oboe and cello.

You're right, M. It's a lie harhar

message 569: by [deleted user] (new)

No. 2?

message 570: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Hello, Leslie.
How long am I to give before revealing the truth?

message 571: by [deleted user] (new)

Good evening Guy :)

It's up to you. You can wait for others to guess or you can reveal the right answer now.

message 572: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Good afternoon, Leslie!
I'll wait. And maybe put up another trio.

1) My father taught himself to read Russian while going to university.
2) My father played electric bass in a jazz band.
3) My father's band played for the local strip club.

message 573: by [deleted user] (new)

First: No. 2
Second: No. 3?

message 574: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments First: No. 1.
Second: No. 3.

message 575: by Guy (last edited May 25, 2013 04:42PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Robyn wrote: "For your second trio, I guess number three. The strip clubs around here don't have bands play at them."

LoL! Wow, Robyn, it sounds like your strip clubs could do with an upgrade!

Hmmm. I think I like this game. Nope. Do I give the answers now, or do you get a second try first?

message 576: by [deleted user] (new)

Give us the answers, Guy! hahaha

message 577: by Guy (last edited May 25, 2013 05:03PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments It was my grandfather who taught me to pan for gold. (He had gold fever.)

And my father played upright bass in a jazz band, not electric.

message 578: by M (last edited May 25, 2013 05:26PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments Serves me right for having read the Masterplots synopsis of Guy’s autobiography.

message 579: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol!

message 580: by Guy (last edited May 25, 2013 05:54PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments LoL! Okay, that was funny.

Hmmm.

1) I read both the The Wizard of Oz and Return to Oz before I finished elementary school.
2) My grade 7 teacher gave the 'best student of the year' award to another student because I didn't work hard enough to earn it.
3) My father began teaching me to play the guitar when I turned 9.

message 581: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments No. 3.

message 582: by [deleted user] (new)

No. 2! (still confident to get the right answer)

message 583: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Sorry Leslie, it would appear M has upgraded his reference reading. My father didn't start teaching me guitar until I was 12 or 13. He gave me a drum kit when I was 9, and sent me to lessons.

message 584: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments It is funny that this game can count as both a game and be considered a "Get to know each other" type of thread as well.

1. The videogame Metroid used to scare the h*ll out of me!
2. My favorite comic strip is Doonesbury though people might not believe it.
3. I used to but can no longer cross my eyes.

message 585: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Anyone else? One more guess and I will reveal the answer.

message 586: by Edward (last edited Jun 05, 2013 02:58PM) (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments That one is the lie. That one, right there.

More seriously, I'm going to guess two.

message 587: by [deleted user] (new)

1

message 588: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments The answer was number two!

My favorite comic strips are Peanuts, Get Fuzzy, and Pearls Before Swine. I hate Doonesbury!

Anyone want to go next..? :D

message 589: by [deleted user] (new)

I've never chosen the right answer tsk tsk lol

message 590: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments That's okay. :P

When I was young I guess things easily scared me. But that Gameboy game would surprise me every time a monster showed up out of nowhere! The environments in that game were unfamiliar and I guess that added to the horror for me. lol

message 591: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Hey Edward. I haven't seen you on here in a while. How are you? Did you see my message?

message 592: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Hm? I thought I replied to it ... Just a moment.

I've been exhausted to do much on Goodreads, but I should have some free time coming up in a couple week - may even participate in some contests, finally.

Metroid is terrifying, especially if you look past the graphics and just let it feel real. The premise is about delving into an alien nightmare horde ... alone. No backup, no wise old mentor - just a really tough woman in a super-powered suit that, for some reason, keeps losing its parts. Plus, Metroids are fairly creepy as is.

message 593: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 07, 2013 01:28AM) (new)

1. Almost all of my things are in the shade of pink.
2. I don't talk that much in person.
3. I have body piercings and tattoos.

message 594: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments 3

message 595: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I hope for the sake of the man who lives there that the lie is #1.

message 596: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments #1

message 597: by [deleted user] (new)

No. 3 :)

Congratulations Edward! Lol

I should have been more specific with number one - things for my personal use, but I don't think my husband would mind if we paint the house pink :D

message 598: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments LOL!

Okay, my turn.

1. I am currently decorating my laptop with dozens of stickers.
2. I haven't painted my toenails in months, but the nail polish from last time is still there.
3. I have a skateboarding jacket (thumb holes so sleeves doesn't slide up), a skateboarding backpack (buckles across middle so doesn't fall off), and skateboarding shoes (shoes you wear while you skateboard) but I don't know how to skateboard.

message 599: by [deleted user] (new)

No. 2 - I don't think nail polish would last that long and besides nails grow.
