message 1: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Here’s the way you play this one. You list three things about yourself, two of which are true, one of which isn’t. The next person will guess which one is the lie. Then you give the answer. I’ll start off:

1. I’ve been put in jail but I’ve never been arrested.
2. I got married in the waiting room of a psychiatric clinic.
3. I got my first car when I was twelve, my driver’s license when I was fourteen.

message 2: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments The second one is the lie. I got married in what had once been the waiting room of a psychiatric clinic, but that had since been converted to a chapel.

message 3: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Clever, M, as the words "psychiatric clinic" and "married" are together on your Facebook.

Yeah ... I actually read the "about."

message 4: by M (last edited Apr 20, 2012 06:01PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments I’ve had a strange, unexciting life.

Edward, it’s been too quiet around here! How is your architecture class going?

message 5: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Terribly. My architecture teacher is going to pass an A and fail everything else.

In general, the more I get in to college the less logical the system seems. I don't see any reason to take a quarter of a year to learn so little. The money, the time, the energy sapping nature ... it doesn't seem remotely cost-effective.

Eh ... number one?

message 6: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments By the way, I'll be writing again in about two or three weeks. Once this college nonsense is over.

message 7: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Alex, I'm with Edward on this, number one?

message 8: by Edward (last edited Apr 20, 2012 09:00PM) (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments 1. I don't drive.

2. I play video games more than ten hours a week.

3. I have read every page of the Lord of the Rings.

message 9: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I’m guessing No. 2 is the lie, if only because ten hours is a lot of time to waste in a day as busy as your days sound. It’s possible that you haven’t read all of Lord of the Rings, but that’s the kind of thing I imagine you would have read as early as junior high school, and probably several times. It may be that you haven’t read the copyright page, though.

I’ve never liked driving. By the time I was fifteen, I had wrecked two cars. Mom drove me to school almost everyday until I was eighteen. My parents finally got fed up and made me start driving.

message 10: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments She has a cape.

message 11: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments She’ll need foul-weather gear though!

message 12: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments My guess is that #1 is the lie. You don’t seem to enjoy the chores you sometimes mention.

message 13: by M (last edited Apr 21, 2012 04:37AM) (new)

M | 11617 comments What do you do if a neighbor appears at the window while you’re cooking without anything on?

message 14: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Yikes! I committed a grammatical error, a case of unclear reference. What does the adverbial phrase at the end modify? So your answer should be: “I look shocked, of course, and say, ‘Mr. Uberschmaltzer, why aren’t you dressed?’”

message 15: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments You too, Cap'n!

I play:
1) soccer
2) softball
3) volleyball

message 16: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Number 2 is the lie? Maybe. . .?

message 17: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Yeah, I read the copyright page and the appendixes too in elementry school. I should do that again.

Oh, and I hate driving too. I used to play video games roughly ten hours a week, but not anymore. Now I play a few hours every month or so.

I'm going to say three, Kyra.

message 18: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 181 comments 1.I have never been on a rollercoaster.
2.I can speak 4 different languages.
3.The walls in my room are bright yellow.

Which one is true????

message 19: by Michelle (last edited Apr 29, 2012 09:43AM) (new)

Michelle | 181 comments #3 is my guess... tough one Kyra!

message 20: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Two of them have to be true, Michelle, and we’re supposed to guess the one that’s a lie.

message 21: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Um... number one???
And the answer to mine is #2!!!

message 22: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments 1. I have an unstarted (is that a word?) essay due tomorrow.

2. I drink a pot of coffee every morning.

3. My one year old brother already knows how to wrestle.

message 23: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Number....two?

message 24: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments I'd say Number 2 for both Michelle and Edward!!

message 25: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Michelle wrote: "#3 is my guess... tough one!"

Didn't notice the answer sorry! It was number 3!

My turn:

1. I used to have a fear of escalators!
2. I have been shot in the arm!
3. In second grade I got into an accident and broke my left wrist and then in third broke my right one!

message 26: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments People are saying 2 and 3.

What is the answer Edward? We are curious!

message 27: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Hmm... I'm gonna say 2. I know Hanz is your younger one, but I've never heard you mention an older sister.

Chew on this!
1.) I hate Justin Bieber with all my internal organs.
2.) For fun, I once wore a fancy dress to a casual school dance.
3.) I am in high school.

message 28: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments No, three. I'm only in middle school. XD

message 29: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Is it 3, Al?

message 30: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments You're in love with grasshoppers?

message 31: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Oooh. I thought you meant like the insects so I was like, huh.

message 32: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments LOL, Al!!! And... there's a drink called grasshoppers???

message 33: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments (gasp) What? Al, saying ANY type of drink is better than MOCHAS????!!!!!!!!!! Impossible... XD

message 34: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Edward wrote: "1. I have an unstarted (is that a word?) essay due tomorrow.

2. I drink a pot of coffee every morning.

3. My one year old brother already knows how to wrestle."

Edward hasn't answered yet. And we're all overlapping our truths and lies after that! Lol.

Number two is the lie for mine.

I was afraid of escalators for a while when I was about two years old. I had my fingernail partially torn off from the end of the stair. . . my finger got caught!
Why I only put down painful memories I have no idea! lol.

message 35: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Lol, I'm not the only slightly disturbed one here!!! It's a nice feeling...

Good LUCK with this one...
1) I watch Mythbusters.
2) I own a purple dress.
3) My favorite color is turquoise.

The simple ones are always harder for others to guess!!! Or so I've observed at sleepovers and whatnot...

message 36: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments It's number two. I drink a couple of cups of coffee every morning, not a whole pot.

As for the brother wrestling thing, well ... he attacks my head because no matter what sitting up with twenty pounds on your face is not pleasant, he pulls my hair, pins and occassionally twists my hands, and screams in my ear. Not fantastic wrestling skills, but way beyond his age group. He certainly has the theory.

Speaking of that essay ...

message 37: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments 2, Kyra.

message 38: by Kyra (last edited Apr 24, 2012 04:02PM) (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Dang, that trick did NOT work...
Yeah, it's two. I barely own ANY dresses.

message 39: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Sad. Dresses are fun to wear.

message 40: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments I don't get along with "girly" items...

message 41: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Oh? No make up then?

message 42: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Number.....3?

message 43: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Number 3, Alex?

message 44: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Three ...

Kyra, I thought turquoise was too specific and the purple dress to obvious. And you've mentioned Myth Busters before ... I think.

message 45: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Let's see.

1. I've shot a gun
2. I play piano
3. I run every day

message 46: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Nope.

message 47: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Yup.

message 48: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments I don't run at all. Haha

Number 3?

message 49: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments 1?

message 50: by Kyra (last edited Apr 24, 2012 07:19PM) (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Yeah, I'm going with number one, Al. K, this one may be a little bit harder, I'm not sure...

1) I've been to Wisconsin before.
2) One Direction is my favorite band.
3) I like baggy T-shirts better than skin-tight ones.
