I fell in love with this book, it had me from page one. The characters, storyline, setting and ultimate conclusion were executed perfectly. Tracey Garvis-Graves intricately weaves a story that has all the elements that anyone could ask for in a book. She created the characters so well that I felt like they were actually human, not a fictionalized creation. I believed everything that the author asked me to believe and I crash landed on that island with them.
I don't want to describe or give away the storyline but let me say that it ended exactly as I wanted it to. I couldn't have asked for a better ending. As a matter of a fact I had to call my friend Leslie, who loaned it to me, (and I am going to buy my own copy on NOOK just so I can read it again) and make her tell me certain things that were or were not going to happen. I admit it I am not patient!!! But I had to know, it was like the Hunger Games for me, I got so entrenched in this story that I was afraid I might fall apart if something really horrible happened.
I feel sorry for the next book that I read after this, the bar has been set really high.

So I was listening to my I-Pod yesterday and a song came on that immediately made me think of what TJ must have been feeling when they were apart.
Song: If You Only Knew
Artist: Shinedown
(I am going to use select parts from the song)
"If you only knew
I'm hanging by a thread
The web I spin for you
If you only knew
I'd sacrifice my beating
Heart before I lose you...
It's 4:03 and I can't sleep
Without you next to me I
Toss and turn like the sea
If I drown tonight, bring me
Back to life
Breathe your breath in me
The only thing that I still believe
In is you,
If you only knew.

I have had a really hard time finding a book that measures up to it! I finally found one that at least holds my attention it is The Selection

I know I am anxiously awaiting that book as well! I was very glad that the book had a resolution rather than dragging it over a three book deal. Although, I had a really hard time letting go of TJ and Anna!

We need to try and find out if Tracey is going to be doing any advanced copies of Covet, I can't wait for it to come out, I think me and my mom are going to be fighting over the book when it comes out.

I will post more tomorrow when I have finished it. I look forward to discussions with anyone that wants to read it.
