My favourite was the one I pictured above - the Classic Fairy Tale Treasury. The pages are edged in gold, the illustrations are magnificent and detailed and the stories unforgettable.

Nenia Campbell (neniacampbell) | 97 comments oh jeez - my favorite childhood books?

i had a book of korean fairytales that i love (in fact i'm actually planning on writing modern retellings of some of my favorites). i also read hans christen andersen, aesop, the brothers grimm...

oh, and then of course there was narnia, the wizard of oz, the phantom tollbooth, goosebumps, tom sawyer, the sweet valley twins, the babysitters' club...

pretty much everything. i won a lot of awards in primary school for being such a precocious reader. it was awesome, getting rewarded for what i loved to do most.
