I've never even why it would be called strings, seeing as it also includes brass, woodwind and percussion? It's not like strings are always the forefront of every orchestral piece or whatever. It would just be like calling a bowl of salad Tomato or something (weird comparison, but I digress...) If an orchestra doesn't have percussion/brass/woodwind/&c then isn't it just, depending on size and such, a string orchestra or a string ensemble?

I try not to, but sometimes I'm like "Grr, I'll do what I want," but I usually feel guilty afterwards. And sometimes it slips out. THe slippin gout occurs more often now that I've started spending so much time with my theatre friends. They swear a lot.
