Same, I have too many. I really liked that part when she's just figuring out what he hot flashes are and he's laughing his ass off. “It’s not great. What kind of connection is this? A one-way hotline to Pervyville?” I took a step forward, on a roll now. “It’s disgusting. Freaky—stop laughing, Seth!”
And that part where he's asking her to choose, him or Aiden. And the part when he does this: “He clapped his hands together, letting out a rather high-pitched squeal before grabbing my hand. “Oh, we are going to have so much fun! Aren’t we? Fun, Alex—we will have fun.”
And the part where him and Alex were going to try to kill each other in the office with Marcus when her and Aiden got back from the zoo and he wanted to know what she had been doing all day. I laughed so hard at that part.
Lol I forgot about the squeal that was hilarious. I loved the first night they slept together. It was such a Seth move to just stay cause he felt like it and then they woke up all cuddled. Daww:)I just don't see how she can end up with Aiden if she needs Seth to get any sleep..

Brie, I don't think it would matter too much if she was in Aiden's arms. I doubt she would have nightmares then. That's her dream come true. I'm starting to question her sanity. LOL Seth is so much better.

I liked the pool scene better in his POV. :) It gave more detail to what his hands were doing.........ha ha.

I don't know if any of you have read this already but this is Seth seeing Alex for the first time!Bored out of my ever-loving mind, I stared at the backs of the Council Guards and wondered for what was probably the thousandth time, how in the world did I end up in this speck of island. I was the Apollyon, not a damn babysitter, but here I was, guarding the prissiest Minister I’d ever seen.
If the man flicked his wrist at a Guard one more time, I was going to break it.
I had no idea why I’d been summoned to do this.
There were daimons to hunt down and kill. Pures to monitor and make sure they were behaving. Girls to chase…
But I was stuck on an island about the size of my foot. The ocean smelled of seagulls and feet. There were way too many mortals close by and classes weren’t even in session. Pickings would be slim, if nonexistent…
Minister Lucian halted. Like a domino effect, all those Guards came to abrupt stop, confused by why they weren’t heading into the main Covenant building. Their gazes bounced off one another like distressed little hamsters.
I didn’t even fight the grin.
“Seth?” Minster Lucian looked at me over his shoulder. “You will join me in the Dean’s office.”
Doing my best to feigned interest, I nodded and wondered if I’d get to hit something in the Dean’s office or if they’d be showing a movie…
There was a pause and something shone in the Minister’s obsidian gaze. “My stepdaughter will be there…”
Is she hot? That’s what I wanted to ask.
“She can be a bit… incorrigible, but you may find her of interest,” he said, then turned and started walking.
If she was hot and down for some fun, then I’d probably find her of interest, but as I watched the Minister and his Guards head into the Covenant, I wondered if this was some kind of twisted Match.com? If so, I was not going to be happy about that.
Muttering under my breath, I followed them into the large building. The Covenants may look different from the outside, but they all looked the same from inside. Statues of gods, a lot of pures that looked like brooms were stuck where the sun didn’t shine, servants, and a slew of half-bloods.
But the moment one foot stepped inside the cool building and the shadow of the Muses fell over me, unease blossomed in my stomach. Something… something wasn’t right here. I couldn’t quite place what it was, but I knew.
At once, the marks of the Apollyon started to tingle. Power hummed over my skin, sudden and inexplicable. Tiny hairs on my arms rose as the marks started to prick and burn, not painfully but different…The cord snapped alive in me, in the center of my being. Akasha flared to the tips of my fingers and for the first time I thought I’d lose control and zap some hapless half gawking at me. And they were staring, because they knew, just like the pures did, what I was.
Something… someone was different.
I knew it in my core.
My eyes skipped over the identical faces—all of them awed, of course—as I followed behind the caravan of self-importance. There was a tall bronze-haired boy and another that was blond beside him. I almost skipped over her—almost.
She stood beside the blond, shorter than the rest of the halfs lined up. Abnormally short for a half-blood—barely five and half feet if I had to guess, and her long, brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail except for one strand that had slipped free.
This girl—this half-blood was trying not to look at me, doing everything in her power to deny the urge, but she couldn’t deny it. None of them could.
Her chin lifted and our eyes locked.
I was caught off guard, as if I should know her somehow—did know her, but I didn’t, because I remember that face anywhere. What she lacked in height, she surely made up for in the looks department.
She was beautiful in odd way. Like one of those poisonous exotic flowers.
Round face with high cheekbones, eyes wide set and incredibly large and lips… yeah, she had great lips.
Then she sucked in a harsh gasp, her skin visibly paling.
At first I didn’t understand why and then I felt them—the marks of Apollyon bleeding across my skin, itching down my arms, and then spreading like wildfire. They tingled as they swirled, making signs of all-powerful words.
Gods. That had never happened before. I didn’t know why they were going crazy, but it was such a raw and primitive reaction and there was nothing I could do to stop them. And it had something to do with this girl. What, I didn’t know, but they were reacting to her.
For an instant, I almost thought she saw them, but that was impossible. No one other than the Apollyon could see the marks and there were only one Apollyon per generation.
When I passed her by, I let out the breath I hadn’t realized I was holding. What the hell just happened? I fought the urge to look over my shoulder as we left the lobby. It was harder than I imagined and that more than ticked me off.
She was just a girl—a half-blood.
And I was the Apollyon.
My eyes lifted from the back of the Guards and met the Minister’s. He smiled in a secretive way, and I knew that moment, that the unease I had felt when I first entered the lobby had something to do with the Minister… and something to do with the girl waiting back in the lobby.
OOOH I READ THIS ON THAT WEBSITE!!!! ITS AMAZING ISN’T IT???I WANT MORE SETH!!!!

I was thinking about that, too. I think it's either about his past or he's away from the covenant or something because if he were around, there would be no reason for the novella, right? Unless it's just telling his side of the story. How he mopes around being boring when he's not pushing and pulling Alex back and forth. Blah. Blah. Blah.

Seth is a good charachter but sorry he is just to pitty and arrogant to me, Just that he always says "you cant have him" "he is not for u" is so pitty and showing her a pure getting killed defending a half-blood how low do you have to sink. Still he was the funniest in book 2 and still is a good character, but People if you had to choice who was right for the lead character if you dont pick Aiden then Shame on you for being delusional:b..
He showed her the pure getting killed so she would better understand the risk of getting involved with Aiden. I thought that showed that he cared about Alex enough to not want her to go through the pain of Aiden getting killed for her and/or being forced into servitude.
Maybe it was abit of both, still why would you show someone you care about something tragic, seth knows that she loves aiden more then him but still he is trying to form a wall between the two that just seems pitty to me. I like him as a character but i dont like him for Alex over Aiden as it is pretty clear that Alex cares more about Aiden between the two.
Well yeah obviously he would try to form a wall he wants Alex for himself and in their world Aiden+Alex= Long Happy Life isn't a possibility right now. Yeah thats selfish but Seth isn't exactly selfless. Gotta love him anyway:) lolYeah she'll prob end up with Aiden but I'm still hoping for Seth:)
Seth is letting her make a choice. He isn't trying to put a wall between them. He thought it was crazy for her to want to be with Aiden because of all the risks to the both of them but he felt how much Alex loves Aiden and so he tried to sway her away from Aiden a little at a time and Aiden's antics just made it all the more possible. Seth left Aiden in the room with her while she slept off the Brew, right? How is that putting a wall up? Aiden told her he didn't care about her and she chose Seth. I had never seen Seth so vulnerable right then because he wanted her to be sure of her choice. So, what he's the backup, at least he can make her happy and less lonely in the time being and perhaps she may grow to love him and get over Aiden. I may be delusional for hoping so but I'm happy to be hopelessly hopeful. Aiden may win Alex over but Seth will always be the best, IMO.

and anyways, Seth had to show that to Alex, it was aa sort of wake up call for her....cause Alex is strong headed and very brave and i mean so brave that he would be stupid enough to chance and risk her life for some relationship with Aiden which would never last long. Seth was showing her that cause he cares about her and doesnt want her to make the wrong decision and well...wants her to choose him, which yeah is selfish but ithat doesn't matter in the light of how necessary it was to make Alex understand. cause come on its obvious that as soon as Aiden admits he loves Alex, she'll throw away everything for him. and it will happen the only question is when...
I agree seth might be trying to protect, but still he didnt let Aiden in her room when Caleb died for Seth to make that decision is putting up a wall, for him to keep reminding her that she cant have him is also putting up a wall. Now the wall between Alex and Aiden has always been there since book 1, but Seth does indeed try and keep reminding Alex of it whenever he feels Alex might go to Aiden. So its clear from Alex's POV that Aiden is infact the best guy, then i just wonder why would you cheer for someone you know would not make the Lead charachter the happiest? is it because Seth is simply that good of a character? And i do agree that he is the funniest to read about in book 2
Did you see Alex complaining that he didn't let Aiden in or anyone else? No. Because she didn't want anyone around but just knowing that they stopped by was good enough for her. Seth knew how she felt.And I'm not even going to bother the rest with a response because I don't see Aiden making her very happy but exactly the opposite...
Agreed Storms! And Seth is the best character…. No doubt about it. Why cause he’s hilarious and sarcastic and a complete badass but that’s not why I fell for him. Its cause he’s also caring,understanding and loving as well and the fact that he stayed with Alex through that hard time with Caleb (oh god now I ‘m remembering….Oh! Jenn!! Why did he have to die!?!?!? *sobs*) and Seth made sure no one came to visit Alex cause it would have been to much for her, and Seth realized that Alex needed to get to grips of it all in her own way. If people kept coming and saying how sorry they were and shit it would make Alex feel worse. And maybe Aiden wouldn’t have been like that but just seeing him would have reminded Alex of other crap that is happening in her life…like how she cant be with him. Seth understood this…
And Seth Made her go to the funreal and Helped her in every way he Could and was extremely supporitive
Your asuming she didnt want to see Aiden because Seth somehow knew, still it could have been the right decision not to let him see her for his own sake, or simply just the right decision because she couldnt face Aiden at that moment, Still Seth took the option away off letting him in, therefor putting space between.Again i didnt say he was making her happy in book 2, i said he could make her the happiest simply by saying he loved her. He didnt though he was a douche about it all, still dosnt change the fact though.
