Pam I loved it and I gave it 5 stars. I too am going to put the next in the series on my TBR list. Thanks for the recommendation!

MountainKat | 31599 comments Jojo, I just realized that your pick for me of About That Night was a buddy read. Valerie ~Varuca~ and I will be doing that as a buddy read, starting in a few days. Does that work for you? It would be great if we could do it all together! Maybe even open it up to everyone?

message 405: by Christine (new)

Christine | 955 comments I finished my first PIFM book, a buddy read of Wicked Enchantment (Dark Magick, #1) by Anya Bast with Kami. This book was not what I was expecting but I really enjoyed it and intend to read more in the series. Thanks for recommending this to me this month.

Would you like me to set up a thread for our buddy read of Shadows? What date would you like to start? How does the 16th sound?

message 410: by Amanda (new)

Amanda | 46 comments Just finished Get a Clue. I thought it was ok. I don't know if it was because I just got done reading the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy or if it just wasn't one of my favorite books by Jill Shalvis.

Hi Nici, sorry I am just seeing this post now. We're going away for the weekend and I'm not sure how much time I'll have for reading. Have you started Lover Reborn already? I don't want to hold you up since it's a library book, but if you'd still like to do a buddy read I can start it next and get a few minutes here and there this weekend. It's a long one though and I'm not sure how quickly I'll get through it. Basically though, with a buddy read, we'll start a separate thread, try to start the book together and comment on the thread as we read. Let me know if you're still interested :)

Is anyone else interested in a buddy read of Lover Reborn (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #10) by J.R. Ward this month??

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments hi Heather - I finished up Divergent last night and want to say thank you for getting me to read it...i've had it on the pile for a while and then heard a bad review of the audiobook so I didn't read it, but i'm glad I did...I hope the next one goes into some more explanation of how the factions came to be etc, because I felt like that was missing from the book, but overall a good read

Are you still planning to start our Buddy Read of Virals today? I am also reading another book, but I often read two or more at once, so I will plan to start it this evening when I get back from visiting my in-laws.

message 440: by Nancy H (new)

Nancy H | 1111 comments Skandia,
I just finished Owls Well that Ends Well, and you were right, it is funny and is a good 'cozy' mystery.
I have also started Anna and the French Kiss, and it is quite enjoyable. It is set in Paris, a city I love and have visited several times (with students in my past life as a French teacher, and with my husband as a romantic getaway). I also started a Buddy Read thread for us in the 'Dare to Read' section.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 741 comments I finished Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage (Highland Pleasures, #2) by Jennifer Ashley and loved it! It was great to see a little of Ian and Beth. I'm looking forward to reading the next books. Maybe I won't take as long getting to them :) Thanks for the push to read this, Daffodil!

message 442: by Pam (new)

Pam | 1048 comments Pollyanna-
I finished Hush, Hush and I have to say I didn't love it. I kept thinking--get to the point. It took about 100 pages more than necessary. Plus I felt like all those horror movies where you want to scream at the screen--don't go there alone, you know something bad will happen. Now having said that I will admit, I was good with the storyline, Patch is pretty hot and I might read the next one in the series. So thanks for the recommendation. I still have Wings in my pile and could start that after I finish my book for my book group on Tuesday. Thanks for the rec.

I confessed I laughed out loud when I read your post, Cheryl! (This series is famously known for its HUGE cliffhangers in books 3 and 4...you've seen nothing yet.) You'll get answers in the last book (#5)...in the meantime, all you'll get is more questions.

Enjoy the ride! It's a really good series.
