I really enjoyed the book and am eagerly looking forward to the next one."This comment totally threw me!! First, it was a new name I hadn't seen saying it was their third pick for the month and a buddy read with Fran, but not anybody who picked for Fran or who Fran picked for.... I finally figured it out, but it took me a little while! 8/ I hope, Irina used to be Reetuparna right? Would you like me to change the name on the list?
lol that used to drive me nuts as well MK...at least they did it after pairings were done - I had someone change theirs between sign-ups and when I did the pairings...I was soo confused
Dee wrote: "lol that used to drive me nuts as well MK...at least they did it after pairings were done - I had someone change theirs between sign-ups and when I did the pairings...I was soo confused"I can't even imagine....
MK, I have been away for a few days and just checked this thread. I too was confused by my buddy read with Irina! They are both pretty names, Reetuparna/Irina :)
Dee, I remember back in the day when you were Delicious Dee ;)
Vi,Thanks for the picks. I am going to read 2 or 3 of them.
Rough, Raw, and Ready by Lorelei James 4/6/12
River Marked by Patricia Briggs
Hidden Summit by Robyn Carr
Done :)
** 15.04Its about good and bad and how they fight against the end of the world. It comes down to a human woman whose death would bring down the world.
The idea of the book is good, but i didnt like it that much. I like it more when the world in the book is more similar to real life then some demon land.
laura - have you read the demonica books? because this series is actually the spin-off of those, so you might have missed a bit of world-building
if anyone is interested in hosting the may PIFM can you please pm either myself or one of the other mods - or if you have idea that you might like to see used for sorting
Dee wrote: "laura - have you read the demonica books? because this series is actually the spin-off of those, so you might have missed a bit of world-building"I have read the first one of Demonica and i liked it a lot. There was demon world but also there was human world and it was in balance for me. Maybe is should read more books from that series and then continue with Lords With Deliverance :)
Daffodil, I just read book #4 from you...
was great!!! I loved finding out about Roarke's background.
I finished my second book, Deadly Gift, my buddy read with Ruth Ann last week. Not a favorite of mine, but glad to have finally finished the trilogy.
Skandia,I just finished my sixth PIFM book this month, and this one was really great! It was Kiss An Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I going to read just 25 pages before I went to sleep on Friday night, and after 3 A.M. and page 257, I finally made myself put it down, especially since I had made a commitment to work for a charity on Saturday morning! I came home from my event and sat down and finished it as soon as I could. I really liked it. Thanks for picking it for me!
We are halfway through the month so I thought I would give an update on how we are doing in the challenge. There were 73 people who signed up for the challenge this month, 36 have already completed the challenge!! Milk Chocolate has the lead so far with 61% completing the challenge, followed by White Chocolate at 45% and Dark Chocolate at 42%. Semi-sweet Chocolate has been too busy baking to read so far this month.
A total of 66 books have been read with 58 different titles. Fourteen people have read more than one book, three have read four picks already and one person has read six picks! There have been at least 11 buddy reads.
I have updated the lists to this point. I think I have everybody accounted for, but please let me know if I missed a post. I want to make sure everyone gets credited for what they have read! So if I don't have you checked off in message #3 or am missing a book for you in message #5, you can leave me a message here or send me a PM if you would rather. =)
3/10 CompletedChocolate Dipped Strawberries: Gotcha! by Christie Craig 4-14-12 3 Stars
This one is pushing 3 stars. I enjoyed Jake's character but Macy drove me crazy. For being so smart she sure didn't use her brain at all.

Hi Nancy,
Glad you liked it! This book was recommended for me couple of months ago during PIFM-challenge and I ended up loving it, too!
Susan (susayq) wrote: "Daffodil, I finished
and absolutely LOVED it! It was just what I needed to read :)"I'm really happy you enjoyed it! I love Garwood's historicals. I've reread many of them multiple times.
I'm also glad you enjoyed Vengeance in Death. I just finished
. Can you believe, book 34 and I still enjoy reading about Roarke and Dallas?
I finished my second book,
.Alyssa I just checked and my library has the first three books in Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series, so I'm going to stop by after work and take a look at them. I know you suggested book three, but I have a hard time not starting at the beginning of the series, especially when it's so readily available.

I've read a fourth book: Doubletake"
Good catch Christine! I have it on the list on my computer, but I missed it when updating the message. I'll get that fixed! I did have you as one of the ones finishing four, just overlooked adding the book.
What, who me?! No, I don't have any perfectionist tendencies.... =)

4/10 CompletedTruffles: Too Hot To Touch by Louisa Edwards 4-16-12 3 Stars
I think it is official I am just not much of a Contemporary Romance reader. I know I have found a few I love but most of them just don't do it for me. This book was good and I liked it, but I can't say that I loved it. But I will read the next one and hopefully I will fall in love a little more with this series. I think the one person I want to read about is Beck. What can I say the man seems Badass and that gets points in my book.

Valerie ~Varuca~, I am trying to figure out what to read next and was wondering if you still wanted to do a buddy read of Faith & Fidelity? Just let me know!
MountainKat wrote: "Valerie ~Varuca~, I am trying to figure out what to read next and was wondering if you still wanted to do a buddy read of Faith & Fidelity? Just let me know!"Very good book ladies, you should go for it!
Hi GigiI am just reporting that I finished Dirty by Megan Hart. I actually finished in one sitting, well mostly because I was stuck on a train. But I really enjoyed the way the author makes the story more than just the romance. You get to see the heroine evolve in more than one aspect of her life. I think that gives the story a nice realistic tone. Thanks for the great rec!

Me too! I picked a shortie to start last night - it has a candle on it for the Treasure Hunt, so I will be able to start by tonight!
Thought Id added that Id finished
but I cant find it so here it is! Thanks Nancy for pushing me to read it, not bad for a YA a few farfetched moments, Ill give the next book a try sometime soon. p.s. sorry for lack of proper symbols darn cat messed the keyboard again ... and this Ive figured out how to fix except to restart
I finished
today and absolutely loved it!!! I have been meaning to read this and I am glad I finally did. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

There seems to be question marks by my name so I shall help with that.
My pick was
Vision in White and I did a buddy read of I am Number Four :)

Thanks Renee! I was hoping you would come back and answer that question!
Hey Sandy, I finished The Postmistress yesterday and I gave it 4 stars. I wrote more comments about the book in our buddy read thread.

No problem :)
I finished my buddy read with Pollyanna of Wings. I liked it--thought it was an unusual take on faeries.
I am just about to finish another book from my pick list even though I originally just picked [two] others. So now that makes my April reads to be
,
, and one that I am about to finish is
. I don't know if it counts officially since pickings kind of closed awhile ago, but just letting you know :)
Hi Renee! You can decide at any time during the month to read any of the choices given to you. Any books you read from your PIFM list during the month count :)
Mounika,I was going to read "Dragon Actually," but I could not find the book! I checked my TBR bookcase, and my Kindle account and I couldn't find it. So, I ordered it from the library and was finally able to pick it up yesterday. I sat down to read last night, got about 20 pages in, and realized that I have already read the book! That's why I couldn't find it. I feel rather silly about that :-/
This morning I checked the buddy read, "Giving Chase," and it is on my Kindle and I haven't read that yet. So, if you're still up for a buddy read I would be glad to read this one with you!!
Sue-
I finished up Portrait in Death this am on the drive into work...5 star read...I still have to write my review of it, but wow...probably my favorite in the series so far
I finished Shadows by Jennifer L. Armentrout, a buddy read with Melissa. I liked it, but not as much as Obsidian, which is the first in the series but came out before Shadows, the prequel.
Finished
- great action and suspense. The couple has create chemistry even though it never really materializes.
Sallie(Shuga)-Thanks for the picks this month! I read Kiss Me If You Can, which was a cute story. I really enjoyed the grandmother and her friend! Thanks again!

I've given it 4 stars 'cause I didn't like very much Rylann (it's ok if she's technical, but she was a little bit too cold), but I really really fell for Kyle...a great character. I married a blue eyed computer genius, so it seems I have a soft spot for them. :-)"I married a brown eyed one, so I totally understand! I couldn't get that line (Because nine years ago, I walked up to the most beautiful girl in the bar, and tonight she's still the only person I want to talk to.) out of my head, loved him!!!
Lady Allison wrote: " I couldn't get that line (Because nine years ago, I walked up to the most beautiful girl in the bar, and tonight she's still the only person I want to talk to.) out of my head, loved him!!!"When I read that, I had to put the book done and just relish just how sweet it was!! It didn't leave my mind for hours and made me teary whenever I thought of it. Oh yeah, Kyle is one of my favorite heroes! ~sigh~ (And I married a blue-eyed computer geek who was also my high school sweetheart, definite spot spot here too.)
