Leea I'm going to start Garden of Stones later today... Yeah, that subject talked about in this book is going to rip my heart out. Honestly you have to watch the documentary I posted on my review, even after you read the book, They're amazing!

I finished All through the night and it was so good, sweet, funny and a little action. Jules and Robin are beautiful!!

message 7552: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I can't wait for more of them!

Regina, are they in another one?

message 7553: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Jules and Robin are serious favorites of Brockmann, so they appear as a couple in a few - -and they are in short stories. Also, the bad Adam has a short story that made me actually like him!
When Tony Met Adam (Troubleshooters, #12.5) by Suzanne Brockmann

message 7554: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Got turned on to Cut & Run (Cut & Run #1) by Abigail Roux My my. Nice steaminess but thought the case aspect somewhat obvious.

Leea I've heard a lot of people really like those book tellulah!

I gotta say - only the romance part for me on book one. But it was definitely enough to keep me wanting the next one.

Yay! more Rob and Jules!

I actually found myself liking Adam at times in the others too. Like when he was explaining (view spoiler). I didn't LIKE him at that point, but I could understand what he was saying. It didn't excuse his actions, but it maybe made me see things from his perspective a bit more. Also, when he was (view spoiler). He can be a dick, but I got the impression that there was maybe more to him than meets the eye... which is a quality of a good author, I say.

message 7558: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I finished reading The Best Man by Kristan Higgins and started Garden of Stones by Sophie Littlefield .

message 7559: by Leea (new)

Leea How far did you get into Garden of Stones? I read the first 51 pages so far.

message 7560: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I read up to pg 61...ch 8. I'm going to stop there and most likely read only a little bit every day. I just don't think I can emotionally handle anything too crazy right now.

message 7561: by Leea (new)

Leea Well hold on honey because it's going to get crazy... Hope everything with you is okay :)

message 7562: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Thanks, Leea...I'm fine. I'm just nervous about the book and its topic.

message 7563: by Leea (new)

Leea I'm anxious too. I am wondering how the first chapter (you know what I mean) plays out with the rest of the book.

This is not an easy topic to discuss and brings out strong emotions is people.

Melissa | 9 comments Hi everyone!

I'm stil new here, and this is my first post not in the intro thread. I'm not reading anything right now, but I want to be. Nothing in the recommended is pulling me! I like a vairety, but I think I'm in the mood for not a full on erotica read, but something with maybe a bit of depth- does not have to be too much- and mabey one or to steamy scenes? I dunno... just a good read? A good story... Not in the mood for any sequals right now though. A good stand alone would make me smile!

Any suggestions would make my day! Thanks!

Hi, Melissa. :)

I just read On Dublin Street by Samantha Young, and I loved it! Rock Me by Cherrie Lynn is also a good read!

On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1) by Samantha Young Rock Me (Ross Siblings, #2) by Cherrie Lynn

message 7566: by Leea (new)

Leea Welcome Melissa!

For those who are reading Garden of Stones by Sophie Littlefield ... how far are you? I'm on page 135, almost half way through and there have been some big revelations revealed that shocked me. I didn't expect a mystery... so this was a little different but i'm enjoying it. Even though the subject matter is hard to take.

message 7567: by Regina (last edited Mar 04, 2013 12:32PM) (new)

Regina (reginar) I am glad it is good Leea! I may pick it up again. Did you see that it is Target's feature book?

Angie, somehow I didn't realize those were the same authors!

Wendy you are right about Adam and Brockmann making it layered and complex -- I guess what she did with Mary Lou, right? I hate when authors make villains or the other woman/man black/white evil and good. It is way too simplistic.

So Leea and Wendy are you on a Troubleshooters break? Into the Fire (Troubleshooters, #13) by Suzanne Brockmann is good. There are only 2 TS books I didn't/couldn't re-read. And Into the Fire is one of them. I re-read the first 1/2, but somehow couldn't get through the 2nd half on my re-read. Maybe b/c I had only just read it the year before - I did really enjoy it the first time around and it is a good closure to some storylines! It has the HEA for Vinh Murphy (yay! he deserves it) and *drumroll* Dave! Also, there is a supah sexy scene with my favorite and yours .... Izzy!

Do you like new adult type books? If so I would say Easy by Tammara Webber

message 7569: by Leea (new)

Leea Were on a break from the Troubleshooters unroll we read Adam and Tonys short. This weekend maybe.

My oldest got sent home, stomach flu. It's crazy how much he's thrown up... Everywhere and even a little sip of water. Just when I thought we were all better and not sick. Ugh!! My washing machine has been going since 8am washing all the sheets and towels... Oh boy!

message 7570: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am halfway through the audio of Warm Bodies (Warm Bodies, #1) by Isaac Marion and it is getting good, I have no idea where this is going! This is the uniquest zombie book I have ever read. I like the philopshy inserted in.

I am halfway through Running Scared (Sentinel Wars, #3) by Shannon K. Butcher and am enjoying this series. It is the third -- decent romance/passion, good sci fi/ fantasy elements and the world is growing. It isn't like an oh-my-god-I-can't-stop-reading series, but it is good.

Regina, Easy is at the top of one of my favorites. I'm in a bit of a New Adult phase right now. I'd love to find something similar, for sure. It's one that I measure quite a few New Adults against :)

Damaged Goods by Lauren Gallagher Wallbanger by Alice Clayton The Unidentified Redhead (Redhead, #1) by Alice Clayton

Regina (reginar) Rock Me is good. It is fun, it is really steamy.

Have you read Lisa Kleypas's Travis series?

Sugar Daddy (Travises, #1) by Lisa Kleypas Blue-Eyed Devil (Travises, #2) by Lisa Kleypas Smooth Talking Stranger (Travises, #3) by Lisa Kleypas

It is an excellent series.

oooooh! I thought Dave's would be in a different book, since book 14 is the Sophia/Dave/Deck story...

I can't WAIT for the Izzy steaminess! I am super super eager for his book!

Regina (reginar) I don't want to give too much away ......

Honestly it's really hard to take but I think part of it is me being nieve at times. The story is very layered and so many things happen that I found myself in grosed in the story. I put it down for a bit because it's very emotional.

@Melissa, another one i'd recommend is Too Much Temptation (Brava Brothers, #1) by Lori Foster by Lori Foster and The Perfect Play (Play by Play, #1) by Jaci Burton by Jaci Burton

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Fish & Chips (Cut & Run, #3) by Abigail Roux may be one of the hottest books I've ever read. Just more Ty please.

message 7595: by Leea (new)

Leea I'm almost done with Garden of Stones by Sophie Littlefield and it's very good but so heartbreaking. It's funny I didn't cry when they were taking to the camp but little things have me tearing up, those small moments a 14 year old girl should not witness or ever have to endure.

Tellulah, you have me so intrigued by the Cut and Run series, may have to pick those up.

Just don't expect to be reading them for the mystery. I've abandoned all pretense that I'm in it for the plot. :)

message 7597: by Leea (new)

Leea Hahaha!

I finished Garden of Stones by Sophie Littlefield and it was very good. Not what I expected but very good and sad...

Kay and Regina, are you ladies still reading?

I read When Tony Met Adam (Troubleshooters, #12.5) by Suzanne Brockmann and it was so cute. Although, i'm a little peeved that (view spoiler)

Next i'm going to read Raid (Unfinished Hero, #3) by Kristen Ashley

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Started Feral Sins (The Phoenix Pack, #1) by Suzanne Wright and wooooowie...it is hot! This is the first romance I haven't been pissed off at in a while.

Also re-reading Unraveling (Unraveling, #1) by Elizabeth Norris and loving it just as much the second time. I wish more people knew about this series. I think it's so much better than Delirium and some of the others I've read lately.

I'm glad to be reading a couple of books that I'm actually into because I've had a bad couple of weeks for meh books. Finished The Murmurings by Carly Anne West last night and was not a fan. :(

Wendy, off to write a little something for Tony and Adam - wish they got a full book.
