Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I started Silver Borne (Mercedes Thompson, #5) by Patricia Briggs last night. I loved the glimpse Mercy had from Adam's POV of when she (view spoiler)

I have an all day BS training at work today. Boo! So, I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

message 7102: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I loved that too! It was so nice to see (view spoiler)

I am loving my re-read of Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs

It was endearing. :) I agree.

I feel guilty for loving the book as much as I did. It was so good! .

And yeah...it definitely messes with the mind!

Domino (aka Meme) (bryghtstarr) | 231 comments i'm so glad u lady's are having such fun with Briggs. all this fun is making me want to do a reread of Mercy's books =D

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Angie, Comfort Food was a trip. I remember having a hard time putting it down because it was so bizarre.

Leea wrote: "Crazy in a good way? Haha!"

Yes. There was drama but I didn't feel like it was too over the top for the subject matter. These were criminals on the run, so it fit. And it was sexy.

message 7107: by Leea (new)

Leea I loved your review, Stacia. Makes me want to read the book.

message 7108: by Leea (new)

Leea Happy Valentine's Day! Hope it's a great one!

That happened to me with Comfort Food also, and then I couldn't get it out of my head for a few days, it was awful!!

message 7110: by Domino (aka Meme) (new)

Domino (aka Meme) (bryghtstarr) | 231 comments finished Longing for Kayla. not a bad read. now on to More by Sloan Parker

message 7111: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Sorry I have been MIA. I have been sick (bad cold). I am traveling all next week again for work too.

I just finished The Burning Air A Novel by Erin Kelly which was good and kept me wanting to read, about 3.5 stars. It is a psychological thriller.

I am now reading The Office of Mercy A Novel by Ariel Djanikian . It is a dystopia with a clear memory of the post-apoc happening. So far it is good.

And I am about to wrap up my re-read of Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs by audio.

message 7112: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Regina, turns out I think I have like the first 5 or 6 Mercy Thompson books on my Kindle. I think I'm gonna start them next week.

message 7113: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) That is funny! I hope you love them. :)

message 7114: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I hope so too

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Read The Tease (Darling Killer Trilogy, #1) by Nikki M. Pill and it was interesting. I still don't understand why people think they should investigate murders on their own....but it worked out. The burlesque world was pretty cool but I think I'd been expecting the book to be erotic and it was more suspense than anything.

message 7116: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I finished Silver Borne (Mercy Thompson, #5) by Patricia Briggs and then started River Marked (Mercedes Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs yesterday. I hope to finish this tonight or tomorrow. So, Leea, I can start Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs on Sunday or later. What is your reading schedule like?

message 7117: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments I'm not sure what to read next. I need something really good to follow up Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas .

message 7118: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Oh I can't wait to discuss Fair Game with you ladies. I am at about 80% in Fair Game right now. I prefer the US cover though Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs , I also prefer the first cover (maybe it is the US cover) for River Marked River Marked (Mercedes Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs

You ladies will be ready for Frost Burned (Mercedes Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs when it is released!

I'm excited to get to Fair Game. I just need to read fast and finish River Marked.

message 7121: by Leea (new)

Leea I loved River Marked...

Kay, I'm suposed to read something with Wendy Sunday but I'm checking with her to see if we can push it till Tuesday (She just said we can push it back :). So, i'll be ready to read Fair Game Sunday. I can't wait to read it!

message 7123: by Leea (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Leea wrote: "Me too. We haven't read a book together is awhile. Yay!!"

We did a couple of weeks ago....Those historical western books by Ellen O'Connell. LOL I feel you though b/c sometimes things just blur all together for me.

message 7125: by Leea (new)

Leea LOL! That feels like a lifetime ago. We need to read the rest of those, they're good!

message 7126: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Leea wrote: "LOL! That feels like a lifetime ago. We need to read the rest of those, they're good!"

It does feel like a long time. We've both read so many books since then. Let's definitely read the other books by Ellen O'Connell together....just don't know when yet. LOL

message 7127: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I really hope to have time to fit those in soon. I am thinking they are good airplane and airport reads for next week.

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Regina wrote: "I really hope to have time to fit those in soon. I am thinking they are good airplane and airport reads for next week."

Those are good airplane reads. It's not too intense and you'll easily merge into the book while sitting on a plane.

message 7129: by Leah (new)

Leah (msleahkaye) | 45 comments Right now I'm reading Master of Darkness (Primes, #4) by Susan Sizemore

message 7130: by Leea (new)

Leea I have never read that series, Leah. (great name :) Do you like it?

Regina, you've been traveling a lot more. I'm sure you miss the kids and hubby, I hope you get more reading it.

I'm so jealous that you're reading Fair Game or maybe rereading it. I can't wait to start it sunday. Also beyond excited for a new Mercy book and next month we also get Blay's book. March is going to be awesome!

message 7131: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I just pre ordered Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward so excited!

I think I may have a print arc on its way to my house for frost burned, not sure. I just need that book.

I don't get to read a lot when I travel because it is really high pressure stuff. Yup late into the night working and up early. :( then I get stressed and same up throwing up. It is not fun (or pretty).

message 7132: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments I'm reading Abduction by Varian Krylov .

message 7135: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Wow, took me a few weeks to finish this book but finally got it done. It was sort of a chore.... Three Days to Dead (Dreg City, #1) by Kelly Meding . Another disappointment. I haven't found a book that I've loved in, I felt, a long time now. I'm still looking!

message 7136: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments I started A Taste of Trouble by Gina Gordon last night. It's cute so far!

message 7137: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I started and finished Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold by Ellen O'Connell and I loved it!!! What great characters and the setting. I cried when Norah confessed her losses and why she wouldn't leave the land.

message 7138: by Leea (last edited Feb 17, 2013 08:41AM) (new)

Leea Ohhh, that's awesome! I loved that book and i'm so happy you liked it too. Are you going to read Sing My Name by Ellen O'Connell ? I know I want to read the next book, Beautiful Bad Man by Ellen O'Connell soon.

message 7139: by Leea (last edited Feb 17, 2013 08:39AM) (new)

Leea I finished reading Reaper's Property (Reapers MC, #1) by Joanna Wylde , just wrote a negative review and hope I don't piss people off but this was just not good. There were too many laugh out laud moment for erotica and some bad cringe worthy words that should never be used. Plus the man's "Hung like Horse." oh, give me a break... lol!

Now onto reading Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs with the lovely Ms. Kay :) Now this i'm excited for.

message 7140: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Is book 2 Sing My Name by Ellen O'Connell ?

message 7141: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I couldn't sleep last night and it was the perfect book to occupy me!

Sorry, I had to edit my post. The books are not connected, so it's not a series. Sorry to confuse you, still a little sleepy and haven't had enough coffee yet.

message 7143: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) is that what you and Kay read second?

Go have your coffee! Lol.

Loved your review of the reaper book.

LOL...I LOVED Reaper's Property. There were definitely some cheesy moments, but I couldn't help but enjoy it!

I'm sorry you didn't, Leea. :(

message 7145: by Leea (last edited Feb 17, 2013 08:47AM) (new)

Leea Coffee in hand now :) haha! Yeah, Kay and I read Sing My Name after Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold. They're both very good but in different ways. She doesn't use the same Plot for each one.

We should all read Dancing on Coals by Ellen O'Connell and even Beautiful Bad Man by Ellen O'Connell together.

Thanks Regina!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! The sex was smokin' hot and I loved reading about the lifestyle but the relationship parts just pissed me off. I knew i'd have issues with just the book title "property" Ugh!

message 7147: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I'd love to!

message 7148: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments When are you guys reading? I might crash.

message 7149: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I'm so glad you liked the book, Regina!! I liked Sing My Name too.

Leea and I are both reading Fair Game right now. I might start Hector (5th Street, #3) by Elizabeth Reyes with Stacia on Tuesday depending on her schedule. But after that, I should be free to read another book by O'Connell with you all. Just let me know what works for you gals.

message 7150: by Leea (new)

Leea That should work... I'm reading Into the Storm tuesday so i'll be free Thursday to read it!

I'm mad at myself for not reading the 5th street series, i'd love to join you guys for that one but I can't!
