Regina (reginar) Oh Wounded looks good!!

Oh and what was the one that you (Stacia) and Leea read about a waitress falling in love??? It was indie published? I think you both liked that one.

Regina (reginar) Stacia (the hype killer) wrote: "Regina wrote: "How are you liking Mind Games?"

Only one chapter in. I'm trying to push to finish Everneath (Everneath, #1) by Brodi Ashton so I don't have a bunch of books going at once. What I've read so far..."

It gets to be a lot of pressure when there are so man going at once. The mystery man in Mind Games is a sexy guy. :)

message 6756: by Leea (new)

Leea Stacia, I hope you like Mind Games, it's a great Trilogy. Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

message 6757: by Leea (new)

Leea It's really pissing me off that I cannot access my email from Yahoo right now. It works on my phone but not laptop? Weird!

message 6758: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) So frustrating!!

I am so glad I migrated away from yahoo to gmail.

Join us Regina :) We're starting Thursday. Are you talking about White Trash Beautiful (White Trash, #1) by Teresa Mummert ? I don't think Stacia read that. Might be another book you're taking about.

This hardly happens but i'm finally getting a chance to check it and it's not working.

Summer (summeraburns) The Thirteenth Tale

I started this last night! I started American Gods about a month ago, but have not been able to pick it back up. The Thirteenth Tale is a very appealing story.

message 6762: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Yes! That is it Leea. For some reason I thought it was a buddy read between the two of you.

Summer I read the thirteen tale about 4 years ago and really enjoyed it.

Courtney | 337 comments Leea - I am experiencing the exact same thing for my email!

Leea, have you read the Bostcastle series by Jillian Hunter? Pretty fun. My fav is The Wicked Games of a Gentleman (Boscastle, #4) by Jillian Hunter

message 6769: by Leea (new)

Leea no, I havent but I added it to my TBR list.

message 6770: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) So I started last night and finished this morning at predawn Making Him Sweat (Harlequin Blaze #740) by Meg Maguire and I loved it. it was so good. Great characters. Great build.

message 6771: by Leea (new)

Leea I haven't started yet... I'm so glad you liked it. I can't wait to read it :)

I haven't felt like reading the last few days.

message 6772: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) This book may help you get over that hump. ;)

The sex is really good in this book!

message 6773: by Leea (new)

Leea Not sure if I want to get all hot and bothered with my husband gone for the next two days... lol!

I hate reading slumps - this is more too much going on in real life and when I sit down I just want to veg out not read for some reason.

message 6774: by Aoibhínn (new)

Aoibhínn (aoibhinn) I've finished reading Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford by Jamie Ford last night. I really loved this book! Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet is a beautiful, fascinating, tender and moving story from beginning to end. Like the title suggests, the story is such a bitter-sweet tale, heartbreaking at times and so warm and sweet in others. All the characters were vivid, well-developed and realistic. I really loved the characters of Henry, Keiko and Sheldon, and really cared about what happened to them. I found it really hard to put this novel down and I look forward to reading more from this author! I gave this novel 5 Stars!

My full review is here:

Now I'm a few chapters into The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck by John Steinbeck.

message 6777: by Leea (new)

Leea I know... I miss my reading buddy! I'm just going to start wounded later tonight and read that with Stacia, Kay and maybe Regina:).

message 6778: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) If you're looking for a decent, steamy contemporary romance series, consider The Sinners series by Olivia Cunning. The first book is Backstage Pass (Sinners on Tour, #1) by Olivia Cunning , which is my favorite. Or I just read Undercover Heat by Danielle LaBue , which I think is still a free e-book; it was more than decent for the price - I got tangled up in it.

Loved The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield ! I know there are a lot of mixed reactions to this book, but I really liked it.

I have an obsession with free e-books, so I'm now reading a historical romance, The Bride Wore Blue (The Brides of Bath #1) by Cheryl Bolen .

message 6779: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Regina wrote: "Stacia (the hype killer) wrote: "Regina wrote: "How are you liking Mind Games?"..."

Which Mind Games are you reading/talking about? Love the title! But when I tried to look it up, there are a lot of them...

message 6780: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I just finished How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf (Naked Werewolf, #1) by Molly Harper and it was fun! Nothing perfect or ground breaking but a lot of fun! Kinda reminded me of Stephanie Plum when it was good.

message 6781: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Lori this one: Mind Games (The Disillusionists Trilogy, #1) by Carolyn Crane

I will try to start tonight! I also started Double Clutch (Brenna Blixen, #1) by Liz Reinhardt last night...it's okay so far.

I haven't had much time to read since I'm at work and it's also been a busy NKOTB day due to presale tickets going on sale tomorrow.

message 6785: by Kay (last edited Jan 23, 2013 02:13PM) (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Wendy...I'm not sure if you heard or not but NKOTB will be touring again and 98 Degrees and BoyzIIMen will be their opening acts. Here are the tour dates: http://nkotb.com/events Their new album drops April and their new single will be aired Friday on the Ryan Secrest show.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'll probably start our buddy read tomorrow afternoon. I'm going slow on the current buddy read I'm on because others are just now getting started. In fact, I was considering reading Psy-Cop part 2 for filler this afternoon while we're at the park. I could probably just start tomorrow's read ahead of time but I almost want something I can get in and get out of quickly.

Mind Games is pretty good though. I'm enjoying it!

Finished Everneath (Everneath, #1) by Brodi Ashton and I liked the book but didn't fully connect to the main character. I'm hoping that book 2 will be crazy though because the ending was sort of a big thing!

message 6787: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments I'm reading Reaper's Property by Joanna Wylde .

message 6788: by Leea (new)

Leea How is it so far? I want to read it really bad Angie...

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments I am loving it so far, Leea!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Ended up breezing through Criss Cross (PsyCop, #2) by Jordan Castillo Price and I liked it better than the first.

Will try to finish Mind Games up as quick as possible so I won't be too far behind.

message 6791: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Stacia each one is successively better. Glad you enjoyed it. :)

message 6792: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I agree with Regina. They just get better and better.

message 6793: by Leea (new)

Leea I need to finish this series so let me know when you're ready to start #5... I know that wont be for awhile but i'd like to join you when you get there, Stacia :)

message 6794: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) JCP had hoped to publish the next Psycop in late 2012 and it did not happen. I notice she isn't blogging as much as she used to so I hope she is working on it! She has so many other writing projects going on too.

But I was holding off on reading the last Psycop until there was a publishing date. I think I may just move forward and read it in March -- once I get through all my January and February Arcs.

message 6795: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I have been stalking updates on that new book, lol! I regularly go to goodreads and look to see if anyone has added book six to her list so I can add it to my 'anticipated' list.

message 6796: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I stalk her on twitter and GR too -- but you know she would send it out with her newsletter, lol, so I know it is wasted time on my part!

message 6797: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Hahaha, that's true. I do subscribe to her newsletter and blog.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Finished Mind Games (The Disillusionists Trilogy, #1) by Carolyn Crane and loved it, so now I get to haul ass on the buddy read with Leea, Kay and Regina. I will be back tomorrow to check everyone's updates. Sorry I was silent today.

message 6799: by Jasja (new)

Jasja | 42 comments A little bit of anything and everything for me at the moment... Haven't found a good read I can really get lost in lately... =o(

message 6800: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Jasja - I'm experiencing the same thing!

I just finished The Serpent Prince (Princes Trilogy, #3) by Elizabeth Hoyt and I just got so mad at the climax of the story. The heroine is useless! I don't know if it was because I was in a bad mood but I just felt very irritated when I resumed the book.

I desperately need a good story right now.
