What Are You Reading Now?

how are you liking Dreaming of You? I really enjoyed that series.

Oh and answering your question above about Lily's daughter in Then Came You (view spoiler)

If there's a copy of it on Amazon or similar site, there's info out there and a librarian can add it for you to the database.

The creative non-sex scenes were smokin'.

Looking forward to hearing what you think. I read this one last year sometime.

I also just finished Bouquet Toss by Melissa Brown...I just wasted hours of my life! Not sure what to read next.

I'm about half way through,

It took me a minute to get into Under the Never Sky too but once I did, I was hooked. Enjoy!

I think I need therapy after reading this. It was good but it also drove me crazy. The first half I was all "I HATE THIS GIRL AND HOW SHE'S CHECKIN' HIM OUT." The second half was all "Okay...that's kind of hot."
But at least they went from engaging in eye-rolling behavior to becoming actual, functioning human beings.
So yeah. It was definitely an interesting read. Creepy, strange and uncomfortably sexy in parts, but interesting.

I just finished an amazing and hearbreaking book. It was for a challenge and for a real life book club. The book was written by a former Russian Jew who fled Russia after the revolution and lived in France her entire life, her husband as well. They had children and converted to catholicism. She was a well known European author. She was writing a book about the Nazi occupation while it was going on. But she never finished b/c she was sent to a concentration camp and died there shortly thereafter - leaving behind her two young daughters. There are two appendices to the book, one is her notes on where she wanted the book to go and another is the letters by her first asking friends to help and protect her (before she was taken away but there was a directive for her to report) and then letters from her husband begging friends to help find her and perhaps get her food and clothing in the camp. Then there are subsequent letters from people donating money to pay for the education of her daughters post-war. Just heartbreaking. And beautifully written.

Due to real life crap (I feel like you are all so sick of it, so I won't post details but ugh, I just never can get a break. I want to be able to just read!) I am slow going on books but I am reading

you summed it up well. Great review as well. I did feel like the book was all over the place too. But it was interesting enough since I haven't read other books with that kind of situation.

I really like 9 Rules to Break when Romancing a Rake by Sarah McLean and A Week to Be Wicked by Tessa Dare. They're a couple of my go-to books for exactly that.

Kay I feel like I follow you around and read the romance books that you do. ;)

Suzanne Enoch's Lessons in Love series is a favorite of mine.

I need to read some Enoch. Angie, are the sex scenes fade to black or more like Kleypas's - more explicit?

They are more like LK's. And SE's books have a lot of humor, too.

Either the Lessons in Love trilogy:
The Rake London's Perfect Scoundrel England's Perfect Hero
or the Griffin Family:
Sin and Sensibility An Invitation to Sin Something Sinful Sins of a Duke

Regina...well, we do tend to like the same books. I follow you around as well especially with UF.
Angie, I have that series on my list by Enoch. I may get to it real soon.

Yay! Glad you're enjoying it.
