I quite enjoyed the entire series. Although that's funny about the audio version. :)

message 5552: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) If you try the sample on audible, it is obvious. I was just too sick to notice for the first half. :D

Lindsey (lindseylou83) | 7 comments I am currently reading, Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful, #1) by Jamie McGuire and so far I love it! Any suggestions for my next book to read??

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Lindsey, what are you in the mood for?

I keep saying back to Iced but I mean it for real this time. Just finished a rock star contemp that didn't do it for me as much as I'd hoped. Access All Areas by Alice Severin

Courtney | 337 comments Just finished Practice Makes Perfect by Julie James and it was such a cute story. I was almost tempted to rate it a 5 but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

I have no idea what to read next!

message 5558: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Oh yeah! I'm also reading Curran (Curran POV, #1) by Gordon Andrews . There are a lot of typos but I understand why.

message 5559: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline Seewald (jacquelineseewald) | 112 comments Right now I'm reading Jude Deveraux's Moonlight in the Morning which is an enjoyable contemporary romance.

message 5560: by Leea (new)

Leea Courtney, what genre are you looking at?

message 5561: by Courtney (last edited Nov 06, 2012 11:58AM) (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Erotica or paranormal/urban fantasy!

message 5562: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Courtney wrote: "Just finished Practice Makes Perfect by Julie James and it was such a cute story. I was almost tempted to rate it a 5 but I just couldn't bring myself to do it."

That is such a cute romance. I really liked it! Have you read her other books? Too bad there aren't many.

message 5563: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I finished A Virgin River Christmas (Virgin River, #4) by Robyn Carr which I really enjoyed. I have missed this small town so much so I am now reading Second Chance Pass (Virgin River, #5) by Robyn Carr .

message 5564: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Kay - I know! After reading this one, I consider Julie James to be a favorite author of mine. The other one that I really loved was Something About You (FBI / US Attorney, #1) by Julie James , but I've read Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James and About That Night (FBI / US Attorney, #3) by Julie James , which I felt were not as good but I liked them nonetheless.

message 5565: by Leea (new)

Leea Oh another author I need to read, I have all her books - Just need some time to read it. haha!

I'm still working my way through ICED... slow and steady.

Kay, i'm so glad you liked that book. I love Virgin River :)

message 5566: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I may start her next.

Kay the virgin river book you just finished is one of my favorites. It is short and kind of tame (her Christmas books usually are) but I thought it was so sweet. That little shack plays a part in several later books. :)

message 5567: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Another thing I like about this author is that she has a sense of humor and it projects through each book. I laughed many times throughout all of them.

message 5568: by Leea (new)

Leea I can't wait to read them, that sounds wonderful right now.

I'm kind of stuck with ICED, I just don't feel compelled to read it, which is how most book are for me. Anyone else feeling this way? Or is this just me?

message 5569: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Leea - And I can't wait to see what you think of them! Which one do you think you'll start off with?

message 5570: by Leea (new)

Leea Courtney, I was thinking of starting Something About You (FBI / US Attorney, #1) by Julie James ... Unless you think her stand alones would be better?

message 5571: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Oh, not at all. That's a great book to start with. That's my favorite one :)

message 5572: by Leea (new)

Leea Oh good because it's the one I have :)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Leea, I just finished Iced and I understand. It took me days and until I was well past the 30% mark before I got invested but I ended up liking it after I finally committed to reading the thing.

Started Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #2) by Laini Taylor

message 5574: by Leea (new)

Leea It's been over a week for me... i'm at 65%. I hope to finish tomorrow so I can read something eles. haha! I'm just so torn.

Oh, I can't wait to hear what you think of that book. Yay!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Looking forward to some Akiva time. :)

message 5576: by Leea (new)

Leea Mmmm, so nice!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) What is it about guys with wings that seems kind of hot? Is that odd?

message 5578: by Leea (new)

Leea No, it's hot... not sure why.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Maybe I picture these massive, powerful looking wings giving the guy an intimidating presence.

Plus, the flight thing is just awesome. I want someone to take me flying.

message 5580: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Funny - wings on Christian and Cruce are very descriptive in Iced as well.

message 5581: by Leea (new)

Leea And it's hot!! Hehe!

message 5582: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Lol. I want dreams like Kat's. :d

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) NO KIDDING.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Wow, that looked like I just yelled at you.

message 5585: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Stacia (Ace of Skates) wrote: "Wow, that looked like I just yelled at you."

I think that amount of emotion was warranted given the topic. *grin*

message 5586: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Lol. Agreed!!

message 5587: by D.G. (last edited Nov 07, 2012 09:26AM) (new)

D.G. I just started Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #2) by Laini Taylor and it's been tough.

message 5588: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Emotionally? Or because it is boring?

message 5589: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Emotionally. Aftermath of war, killing of innocents and all that. Plus Akiva's grief is overwhelming.

message 5590: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Ah. I am glad she is approaching it in a realistic fashion rather than glossing over that stuff, but I am weird like that.

message 5591: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) DG did you finish all of the Kate Daniels books? I have the CD for the last one (I think) I just need to check and I can send it to you.

message 5592: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I think that's definitely the strength of this book, that even though it's fantasy, you can relate it to real life. I'm thinking of our soldiers a lot.

message 5593: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) :( We should think about them, not forget. I felt the same way about Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins , I appreciated the depiction of the aftermath of war/violence. But I know it is brutal to read.

message 5594: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I know. :(

message 5595: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Nov 07, 2012 10:24AM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) So I just wrote out a theory about Jo in my review but I thought I'd ask you guys here.

Do you think (view spoiler)

message 5596: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am almost at the end - -Dani just (view spoiler) So I will click and respond in a few hours.

message 5597: by Leea (new)

Leea I'm at that same part, Regina.

You may have a point, Stacia. Who knows with Ryo? Did you just finish?

message 5598: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am past that now (listening to audio while I work).

I am suspicious of Dancer. But I think we are supposed to be. I haven't read your review yet, I will when I finsih ... 2.5 hours more!

Hello. What is everyone reading today? I have an Audio Book credit and I want to get something good. I spent last months credit listening to Pleasures of the night Pleasures of the Nightand let me tell you WOW...that is not a book to be read out loud. I almost has a panick attack thinking that everyone could hear what I was listening to (I had my head phones on) at work.
