Meme, felt the same way about her Sweet series. That's why Colters' Women was such a surprise to me. Have you read them all? I'm curious about Coulters' Daughter.

I'm about 20% in and LOVE IT!

Easy - For those who've read the book (sorry Kelly :)(view spoiler)

Wendy and I mod a YA for adults group if you're ever interested. A few of us are over there too.

Yeah, Kelly the YA-MA group has a ton of recs. You should join :)

Courtney | 337 comments Just finished The Deed (Deed, #1) by Lynsay Sands . Just terrible. I'm actually pretty upset that I bought it!

I think any book I read after this one will be too good to be true.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) That sucks. I guess they can't all be winners.

message 2457: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Now I will read Pride Mates (Shifters Unbound, #1) by Jennifer Ashley !

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I like the exclamation point. Think positive!

message 2459: by Leea (new)

Leea Uhh. Good luck with that one. Lol!!i hear the series get better.

message 2460: by Hayley (new)

Hayley Stewart (haybop) Just started reading Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James and am already contemplating whether to bang my head on the desk or reach into the story, grab the lead female and bang her head on the desk until she gets a brain... oh well, only 344 pages left :S

message 2461: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Lol, thanks Leea!

Stacia - I am! I think anything will be better than The Deed.

I heard Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James is not that great either in terms of writing.

message 2462: by Hayley (new)

Hayley Stewart (haybop) It's really not good, I'm quite sure the editors just skimmed it, saw there was a niche in the general public bookbuyers market and just wanted to fill it asap because I wouldn't hand in my A-Level English (or any subject) coursework written like that!

Oh well, I'm hoping there are some redeeming features about it that I have yet to get around to reading.

message 2463: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I just finished No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole and the narration was so good that it took me until 75% of the book to realize the story wasn't that good. It was exciting at parts but the romance wasn't the type I like (man chasing woman while they bicker constantly.)

His name is Robert Petkoff. I'm checking out Audible to see what else he's done.

I actually liked Colters' lady better than Colters' woman. Holly from CW got on my last nerve. She had no spine.

Sarah (saritz) | 14 comments Leea wrote: "I'm going to start Easy by Tammara Webber "

Good for you! I've been planning to read that novel for about a week now but I got sidetracked with reading Western/Marriage by Convenience-themed books. I'll probably start on this one once I got over my mania. :)

message 2472: by Leea (last edited Jun 14, 2012 08:15PM) (new)

Leea Yeah! Holly had some issues for sure.

Okay I'm loving Easy. Tammera Webbers writing has improved or it's just the combination of Lucas/Landon, that's making me reorganizing my day to read longer. No we don't need food, well pick up pizza after swim ;) lol.

My laptop had to go back to the apple store. Ugh! Something is wrong with the plug where it connects to my computer and the charger. Who knows? At least this time my husband is taking care of it and I don't have to talk to the apple people. Although I have this feeling that Jim will come home with an iPad. Lol!

Leea, I'm about halfway through Easy and CAN NOT PUT IT DOWN! My lunch comprised just reading and no eating! Yeah, I totally agree with the others that this Webbers book is the best one so far.

Thank you Stacia. I will definitely check that out. Recs are very appreciated.

I'm also thinking I need to confess an addiction to book reading. Lately, I can't seem to go one minute without having my face plastered in a book. Once I'm done, I'm avidly looking for my next read. Withdrawal is not an option. :)

I'm hooked, I love it and also can't put it down. Dang swim lessons are messing up my reading time. I'm about 65% done and it's really good.

Welcome to the group Sarah! It was a good book.

message 2477: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Ok, Leea, I now understand the doubt. Not a good book so far...

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Kelly, we all hit those stages where we can't seem to read fast enough. Then real life smacks us and we have to pull back before the next addiction cycle starts.

I've been reading a lot the past month because my husband's been working lots of extra hours. One of his crew quit recently, so he's been having to pick up the slack. It's great for my reading but terrible for my sanity because the kids act up more without a man in the house!

message 2479: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Finally unchained myself from computer long enough to start book. Yay! Sadly book was A Touch of Scandal (James Family, #2) by Jennifer Haymore with characters that I found irritating and an attraction that was waay too sudden. So bailed after 100 pages.

message 2480: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I'm started Gio (5th Street, #2) by Elizabeth Reyes for a buddy read w/Stacia. I also started a couple chapters of Out of Control (Troubleshooters, #4) by Suzanne Brockmann last night.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I will be starting Gio tonight (with Kay of course). I'm going to try and push through Golden Lily first.

message 2482: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments How is Golden Lily so far? Better than the first one?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'm liking it but I don't think it's any better/worse than the first one so far. We'll see after I'm finished if it ends up being better but even if it's not, I doubt I'll go under 4 stars. Either way, it's another solid book from Mead. Adrian is in fine form.

message 2484: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Adrian is attractive to me but I still <3 Dimitri! I'm glad to hear that it's another solid book. I like Mead's writing style. I hope to start it sometime next week.

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I love Adrian. I'm starting Golden Lily tomorrow and I can't wait for more Adrian.

I just finished Easy. Wow. Loved it. It had all the right stuff. I am definitely a fan of Tammera Webber.

Sorry to hear that your husband has been working so hard lately. That's tough on your family. But it is good that you can find a silver lining it in all.
I won't see my husband for another two weeks (haven't seen him since May 30), so I'm sure that has something to do with my reading addiction. I'm sure during the month of July (he'll be home for the entire month before relocating to another base) my reading will drop off significantly.

Ahhh... I'm at 87%. So close and I can't wait to see how this ends. Is this book a stand alone or will there be another? Anyone know?

Stacia, i'm so sorry your husband has been working so much. At least you've been getting more reading done ;)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) True. I like reading but I miss our routine too. It's weird having him come home close to bedtime.

As far as I know, the book is a standalone, which I think works. I liked the book but didn't love it to the point of wanting to explore the characters' lives beyond what happened in that story. I felt like the closure was good.

Kay wrote: "Adrian is attractive to me but I still <3 Dimitri! I'm glad to hear that it's another solid book. I like Mead's writing style. I hope to start it sometime next week."

Dimka will always be my number one but Adrian's humor makes up for the Dimitri hole.

Regina (reginar) Sorry Stacia and Kelly, that sucks. :( sometimes it is a relief to have time on your own, but over and over again is too much.

Glad you are all starting #5, I am interested to see what you think about this one and the heroine.

I finished Dawn on a Distant Shore (Wilderness, #2) by Sara Donati and really liked it. I am in the same dilemma again for #3, all of my libraries only have the audio on tape cassette (really?) and my overdrives do not have the audio -- AND audible has it for 2 credits. So frustrating!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I ended up reading Wool 2 Proper Gauge by Hugh Howey spur of the moment today because the closest reader to where I was sitting didn't have my current book on it.

This one was good but I liked the first better. The ending was another shocker though.

message 2493: by Leea (new)

Leea Finished Easy by Tammara Webber and I loved it! My favorite book by Webber so far. I can't wait to see what she writes next, one of my favorite YA authors for sure.

Starting Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1) by Kristen Ashley I'm really excited because i've grown to love KA as an author and this series is longer, I think 6 or more books. I'm so excited to see what all the fuss is about :)

I've been on a huge contemporary romance kick and why stop now. lol! Maybe it's the summer or just that we're so busy, I don't know?!?!

message 2494: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Finished Pride Mates (Shifters Unbound, #1) by Jennifer Ashley . I did not like it....haha, that's all I have to say. There were some moments that were nice, but the book as a whole? Not my cup of tea. No development at all, in anything really!

Now I'm going to start Silence in the Mist by Leah Marie Brown !

message 2495: by Leea (new)

Leea Yeah I didn't like that book either. Good luck with Silence in the Mist ;)

Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1) by Kristen Ashley well, ROCKS! I laughed so hard at the first chapter. Oh. My. I had tears in my eyes. I'm devouring this book. It kept me up last night and I was up at 5am wanting to read more.
