What Are You Reading Now?

It's time to read The Boyfriend list. haha! I think i'm the only one who hasn't.

DG, I remember being very satisfied with the ending of Faithful Place. Which is unusal with Tana French.

Hey Marcella. It's been a long time since we've seen you. Hope you're well :)

Thanks for posting that Leea, I missed that you posted -- welcome back Marcella!

Oh DG, did I remind you to think of me while you are reading Ashfall? Where he is headed to and the area that he is, is where I grew up (just east of the Mississippi, northern Illinois)

Oh ok. I'll finish it today then!

Oh I didn't know that! I'll think of you then. :) I was thinking of you when I read About That Night because the leads meet in college (Champaign-Urbana.)

Marcella - When you're done with Pandemonium, I'd like to hear your thoughts. I wasn't too happy with the way it went.

Oh, I didn't know it took place there (where I went to undergrad and law school) -- I am going to have to look into reading it. :)

Thanks Leea! I was in a kick ass kind of mood. LOL!

Thanks Regina!

The weird thing about her books is that the subsequent book is only in the same worldish, but different characters. And each time she moves on to a new character I think -- I don't want to read about him/her. But then I love the book. I am feeling the same way about #4

I found Tana French b/c Stacia Kane had rated her books 5 stars each. I will always be thankful. I love them. Even if I do have issues with #1 and #2 -- I love them.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

TF books are like PNR...instead of a having a different couple, she has different main characters in her books. :)

Ooh! You've got your hands on #4. Can't wait to read it. The Likeness continues to stay with me long after I read it.

If you plan to read 1 or 2, you should read 1 first. The character that is continued on in 2 and her experiences only makes sense in light of the ending of 1.
So, I am reading

I was recc'd that one by Isa I think. It looks interesting.
You'll have to let us know how the PNR book turns out.
Finished

Still working on Hammered but my mind doesn't seem to want to be processing it, so I might put it on hold for a day or two and try to reset with a romance or something. Maybe a Kleypas...not sure yet.

Tellulah -- i LOVED the Likeness. Loved it. I sort of idealized the (view spoiler) Donna Tartt's

Which book Wendy?

I was ..."
Isa wrote a fabulous review for it. It is absolutely beautiful. I love the idea of living in a stark wilderness and this is the setting (although I actually couldn't deal I am sure).
The cover for Insanity is really pretty.

Oh I have to get that book, Regina! Sounds too funny for words. :)

I loved this book. Read it on my Highlander kick :) Enjoy Courtney!

Bummed we had to cancel our trip to Half Moon Bay this weekend because it's going to rain friday and then be super cold.
Regina, I really need to finally read Aftertime. Might be my next book.

I hope you like it, I believe Kay enjoyed it. :) The main character is a recovering alcoholic and has memories of a painful and shameful past (both done to her and what she did when she was drinking) and she is a mom so there is that dynamic as well. I loved her personal journey and her journey to a HEA. It is not a typical road to a HEA at all - -and the HEA only happens at the end of the third book, so be prepared.

I agree. I'm really looking forward to your opinion regarding the end.

I'm also almost done with I, Juan de Pareja. It's a little simplistic so now I know why it's considered a children's book.
I'm also around 100 pgs. into Ashfall and I'm enjoying it.
