I will read them eventually. I have a feeling I'll be reading her entire back list.

message 8302: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Oops, sorry Angie! I thought you & Marcella both were.

Marcella - same question! What's the big deal with the undercover stuff for Ty & Zane?

message 8303: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments Lori...to answer your question...they can't because of all the exposure they have had. They were on the news not that long before then and now with the calendar. There is just too much exposure for them. I can understand why they can't do UC work anymore. Their lives would be in danger if someone recognized them.

message 8304: by Leea (new)

Leea We missed your DG... Glad you're back.

I would get one with more Gb's because I think I have the 8g and it's almost filled and I don't have much on there, a lot of music but i've deleted some. I know i'm due for a new phone and I'll get the larger one for sure.

Lori, I'm so glad you enjoyed into the night, it's such an amazing series and just wait till you get to read about Sam and Alyssa sooooo good. Not my favorite book, but I always loved the ones that I didn't expect to be good.

I'm going to start another Heath western, Never Love a Cowboy (Rogues in Texas, #2) by Lorraine Heath . It's still so windy here today, now my allergies are acting up.

I really want to read her KI series, maybe we could buddy read it. Along with the other multitude of books we always saw we'll read together haha!

message 8306: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Ahhh...thanks, Leea!

My iPod has 32 GB and I used to have it almost full to the gills but I had to delete a lot of stuff when it started acting up. Right now I'm only using 11 GB but that's sort of my bare minimum. Given that it needs some space for the Operating System, I'm afraid not even 16GB will be enough!

You know I'm always up for a buddy read. Post Kristen Ashley, of course. ;)

message 8308: by Regina (last edited Apr 09, 2013 01:47PM) (new)

Regina (reginar) And apps and pictures take up a lot of space. Plus you may have a few books on there. And audio books are huge. If you are at 11 right now I would get the 32gb if it is all the same to you. :)

message 8309: by Leea (new)

Leea We also have a 32GB ipod and it's old but we use it to play music in the kitchen. ha!

I don't know if they sell 32g iPhones...

message 8310: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I believe they do.

message 8311: by D.G. (last edited Apr 09, 2013 02:12PM) (new)

D.G. Yes, they have them. But they are so much more expensive! :) That's why I've been wondering if I can get away with the 16 GB but I don't think I will.

And anyhow, it's not as if I'm forking all the money. I got a $550 AMEX gift certificate for my 5-year anniversary here at work and I've been saving it for that. :)

message 8312: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) That is a great gift. I'd get the bigger one then given how much space you have used in the past.

message 8313: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Apr 09, 2013 02:13PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Wow, nice gift certificate!

I started The Tied Man (The Tied Man, #1) by Tabitha McGowan and it's already impressing me. Reads a lot like lit fic and some of the descriptions are beautiful but I can tell the dark erotic parts are coming.

message 8314: by Leea (new)

Leea I don't even want to know how much the 32g iPhone is. Yikes!

Stacia, can't wait to see what you think of the tied man, it looks good!

Never marry a cowboy is starting out slow. I hope it picks up.

message 8315: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Marcella - I guess my confusion is that, while both Ty & Zane have done UC work prior to working together (and sometimes when Ty does his little "ops" for Burns), as a team, neither Ty nor Zane has done any significant UC work. Nor do I recall their little FBI team in Baltimore doing UC work. So... I guess I'm trying to figure out what the big deal is if all the publicity prevents them from doing more UC work. Does that make sense? And wow - I'm up to about 50% and stuff is really hitting the fan!

BTW, if ya'll decide to do a KGI read starting with The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1) by Maya Banks , I'll jump in, too. I've read book 1, but none of the others - yet.

Very much enjoying the Troubleshooter series. I think I'm the odd duck, 'cuz I often find things in the books that folks don't like that make me really like them. And then other books that folks rave about, I don't always like. Part of why I like GR - I enjoy discussing the books as much or more than reading them. Always good to get different perspectives. So I really liked Into the Night (Troubleshooters, #5) by Suzanne Brockmann - but not as much for what happened or the characters, but for what I perceived as the theme of the story.

Troubleshooters 6 Gone Too Far (Troubleshooters, #6) by Suzanne Brockmann - I really want to dive in, but I couldn't help but start Touch & Geaux (Cut & Run #7) by Abigail Roux first. I wondered if NOLA would ever come into play, especially after the little Ty shared with Zane about the only gal he considered being with long-term was the one in NOLA.

D.G. Leea wrote: "I don't even want to know how much the 32g iPhone is. Yikes! "

Around $700. I'm a T-Mobile customer which means that if I want one, I'll have to buy it.

message 8317: by Leea (new)

Leea Ohh good idea with KGI series... We'll have to do a group read or something soon.

I'm putting aside Never Love a Cowboy (Rogues in Texas, #2) by Lorraine Heath because it was not grabbing me and then Wendy was done with her book so i'm going to start Breaking the Rules (Troubleshooters, #16) by Suzanne Brockmann . I cannot wait to read Izzy's book... so happy!

message 8318: by Leea (new)

WOW!! That's nuts!! Thank goodness i'm a at & t customer, normally it's $199 for me to get a phone.

message 8319: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Are you starting now Leea and Wendy? Can I join you?

message 8320: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) You better get an otterbox defender case and really good insurance!

message 8321: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) You can definitely join us! We're maybe starting tonight, but definitely tomorrow!

Leea Regina wrote: "Are you starting now Leea and Wendy? Can I join you?"

message 8323: by Leea (new)

Leea If you buy it from Apple, get the insurance... good heavens!

message 8324: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Cool. I am downloading the audio now. I will start tomorrow. I can't wait! I have been wanting to re-read it. :)

message 8325: by D.G. (new)

D.G. It pays over the long run because my monthly fee is $60 cheaper than A&T.

message 8326: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Oh wow. That is a good deal.

$60 a month?!

message 8327: by Leea (new)

Leea Mine is $80 a month with unlimited data, text and calls. But my husband has a company cell phone so we don't have to pay for his.

That's a killer deal DG!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Twice Tempted (Night Prince, #2) by Jeaniene Frost and it was a little better than the first book. This series still doesn't have the magic that the early Night Huntress books had but I think it's being set up for some good stuff ahead.

Not sure what I'll start when I finish Tied Man. I might go ahead and complete a trilogy with The Lucky Ones (Bright Young Things, #3) by Anna Godbersen

message 8329: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Stacia that is so disappointing! I had heard that the Vlad series was better than the latter NH books, but it sounds like you don't think so?

I started Maya's Notebook by Isabel Allende and am really liking it.

message 8330: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments Who is reading Touch & Geaux (Cut & Run #7) by Abigail Roux ? I need to talk about it or I am going to burst.

message 8331: by Leea (new)

Leea I'm loving Breaking the Rules (Troubleshooters, #16) by Suzanne Brockmann ... It's like I have Izzy Zanella fever and I cannot stop reading. I'm sorry Wendy!

This book will break my heart. I've already cried and I know more is coming. Eden... Izzy... You love each other!

message 8332: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Just finished Gunmetal Magic (Kate Daniels World #1) by Ilona Andrews . It wasn't as good as the Kate Daniels books but it was good nevertheless. I really liked a few things about the way it ended.

Now I'm reading Love Irresistibly (FBI / US Attorney, #4) by Julie James . Very cute. This one is way better than the last couple of ones.

message 8333: by D.G. (new)

D.G. My iPod is acting up so I can't start a new audio! Arrgh!!!

message 8334: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Go by the phone now! :) so frustrating. !

message 8335: by Leea (last edited Apr 10, 2013 11:34AM) (new)

Leea That is frustrating... Looks like that phone is going to be yours soon. lol!

I'm like an Izzy Zanella maniac... I cannot stop thinking about him. I have a real problem.

message 8336: by D.G. (last edited Apr 10, 2013 11:41AM) (new)

D.G. I know. I HAVE to take care of it this week. A friend of mine was telling to wait until Apple comes out with a new one but I really cannot wait. Now my iPod has two volumes: all the way up or mute. If I try to put it in the middle, it changes it all on its own!

I still have an old iPod somewhere so I think I'll have to switch to that one until I get the iPhone.

message 8337: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Marcella, I'll talk about Touch & Geaux with you... but I'm still processing and not a little confused about the whole thing.

Feel free to Inbox me here at GR, if you prefer to keep it off the boards. Or we can use spoiler tags here, in this thread, if you want.

I gave the first book 3 stars and this second book a 3.5 rounding up to a 4, so I did like it. I don't think the books are as good as the first couple of Night Huntress, but they're better than the most recent NH I read.

message 8347: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I finished True by Erin McCarthy . I enjoyed it but it didn't blow me away.

I'm in the mood for some sexy contemporary. I'm off to see what I can find.
