Thanks! He's on the mend, thank goodness. Sick husbands are the worst.

Regina (reginar) Dave gets his HEA. Before Izzy. :)

This spring she has a release of an anthology of previously pbulished and free short stories and new short stories Headed for Trouble (Troubleshooters #16.5) by Suzanne Brockmann , last year (2012) she released a short novella/story When Tony Met Adam (Troubleshooters, #12.5) by Suzanne Brockmann and in late 2011 (I think) that was when #16 was released. She said she will return to the series. I am going to spoiler mark b/c I am not trying to promote but give info (view spoiler)

Thanks Regina! I say read... what are you reading right now. Yum, Margarita is only better with great chips and salsa.

message 7205: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Oh he does! I can't wait! I looked for that, but couldn't find which book it was in.

I don't think it's inappropriate, lol. You're just answering my question. YAY! I'm glad there'll be more. And it's killing me to not read those interviews, lol.

message 7206: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Good suggestion. :-)

We would never think that. Thanks for sharing the info with us. I can't click on those but I appreciate you always keeping us up to date with this fantastic series.

Brockmann is such a generous person with her time (I follow her on FB and Twitter). She is such an open person. Right now her son is running her FB pages because she is busy writing a novel but she won't say (darnnit) or I have missed what book she is working on.

Yeah, don't click. I am going to remove the links actually - -remove temptation, lol!

message 7209: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I would love to be a fly on the wall (or the computer if they communicate via email/chat) when Brockmann and Ward get together and talk shop. :)

message 7210: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) It's super hard. I actually clicked them both, but then closed them before I read anything.

message 7211: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Yikes. Glad I deleted them. The interview will be there. It is worth waiting. You don't want HEAs spoiled. And there are two HEAs out there that are unclear as to how they will resolve. LOL -- I blame the margaritas for having me put the links in!

Now that I mentioned Ward, I cannot wait for Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward

message 7212: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I can not WAIT for Lover at Last. Sooo close!

message 7213: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Did you see the picture of the boxes of books in her garage? If it is ready I want one now!

message 7214: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I KNOW! Every year she posts those pictures of the Virtual signing boxes and I just want one so bad.

message 7215: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) She is a horrible tease. :) this book is perfectly named. :)

so we have Frost Burned and Lover at Last -- such a good month.

message 7216: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) For me it's Clockwork Princess and Lover at Last, haha.

message 7217: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I haven't read that series yet. Spring is always such a great season for releases. :)

message 7218: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I finished Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs and loved it! Anna & Charles....I am just in love with this couple.

I'm reading Hector (5th Street, #3) by Elizabeth Reyes and I'm really liking it. The sexual tension in this is great.

My hubby just agreed to watching the kids Saturday night so I will most likely make it to the Tammara Webber signing in my area. Yay!

message 7219: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I can't wait for Lover at Last too!

message 7220: by Leea (new)

Leea How fun Kay!! You'll have to take pictures and share with us :)

Yes, March is going to be fun. I cannot wait for Lover at Last - we'll have to read it the day it comes out. Yes, KMM is such a tease on her FB page, that picture had me drooling. OFf to friend, Brockmann now. I love cool authors!

message 7221: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Can we start on the Ellen O'Connell book today? Which one? Dancing on Coals by Ellen O'Connell Beautiful Bad Man by Ellen O'Connell

I finished Whisper Falls (Destiny, #3) by Toni Blake and it was good -- not great, but damn she writes good sex scenes. I give it 3 stars. I can't wait to read #4 in that series.

message 7222: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) That is so exciting Kay! I can't wait to hear how the book signing is! I haven't been to one recently.

message 7223: by Leea (new)

Leea I can't today... I'm still reading Into the Storm with Wendy! Have you read Sing My Name?

You ladies can start and I'll catch up.

message 7224: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I haven't yet, but I was picking a book that I knew you hadn't read. I will wait for you - -I forgot about Into the Storm. Sorry!

I am reading a novella by Margaret Atwood I'm Starved for You by Margaret Atwood

message 7225: by Leea (new)

Leea It's okay. Go ahead, see what Kay & Angie say :)

It'll be my first one so I'm excited. Then Sophie Littlefield will be here next week and I hope to make it to that too.

I can start tonight. Just let me know which book you gals choose.

Valérie (valou5) | 11 comments I am starting the Maze Runner today - can't wait!

message 7229: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Kay -- no preference? I saw Angie's preference -- should we just do that one?

I'm going to have to move Toni Blake on my TBR list. You are always saying such goodt things about her books.

message 7233: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Angie I just posted this in another grup -- they are really quick reads. I skim a lot of the pages that are the inner monologues of the female and male characters -- too much inner thought/conflict that I am not interested in. But the sex scenes are really well done, the tension and attraction between the H/h is built up nicely. I liked the first and second better than the third, but I intend to keep reading. I like the setting (small town, rural area on a lake, high school friends are returning home to start anew). These are quick, fun, comfort reads for me and really good when I am experierncing readers block or am traveling and need something not to deep but nicely distracting. So, will these change your life and be the best thing you ever read? No. But they are fun. :)

Fun is good!

OK, gals. I'll be starting Beautiful Bad Man by Ellen O'Connell tomorrow night. I might try and squeeze a few chapters in tonight, but usually when I do that I can't stop reading.

message 7235: by Leea (new)

Leea I'll start it once i'm done with Into the Storm which just got steamy and so dang cute. Lindsay is cracking me up with her Ninja comments...

message 7236: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I really liked that neither her or Jenks was the traditional romance H/h.

message 7237: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I love Jenks and Lindsay. It's so cute!

message 7238: by Leea (new)

Leea No they're not and I love seeing these SEALS as human not so super hero-esq. Man it's Sophia and Deck that have me squirming with sexual chemistry - it's oozing off the page and I can hardly stand it any more. He's so much like Max, it's killing me.

Lovin' this book.

message 7239: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I cannot wait until you get to the book that deals with their HEAs. It is my least favorite book in the series (the only one I haven't re-read, I couldn't I tried), but it was satisfying.

message 7240: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Deck and Sophia? That's also the one abuot Nash?

I'm loving this one, a lot. But it's also taking me closer to Jules and Robin.

message 7241: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I won't say. :)

message 7242: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) I can't help it - I have to re-read The Black Dagger Brotherhood series... just finished Dark Lover and almost done with Lover Eternal. Can't help myself!

message 7243: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Oh that is so fun! Some of us did that last year and I got part way through -- so much fun!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Enjoy the brothers, Lori. :)

Valérie wrote: "I am starting the Maze Runner today - can't wait!"

You'll have to let us know what you thought of it. Wendy and I have both read that one.

Finished Hector (5th Street, #3) by Elizabeth Reyes and it was cute.

message 7245: by Brunhilde (new)

Brunhilde Lori McD wrote: "I can't help it - I have to re-read The Black Dagger Brotherhood series... just finished Dark Lover and almost done with Lover Eternal. Can't help myself!"

I still haven't read them. I just don't think I have the mental energy right now dive into the world of vampires.
The Troubleshooter books people were talking about look good. But I can't stand modern military books with inaccurate information and unbelievable plots. I am just worried they might be like that.

message 7246: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Brockmann was granted access to military base and men after the 2nd book was published and the richness of the characters and the world became clearer due to hear research. Her characters are not ideals in the typical sense of romance novels.

The Blackdagger brotherhood is definitely not the normal world of vampires -- they are not the undead.

message 7247: by Brunhilde (new)

Brunhilde I may have to look into the Troubleshooters more.

I am sure one day I will delve into the Blackdagger Brotherhood. I am just not there yet.

message 7248: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Brunhilde - The "Brothers" aren't my usual genre by any means... and they're quite steamy, so consider that. But, IMO, they're GOOD - they sucked me in and kept me captivated. The "strangeness" of their world wasn't so strange... certainly not after Karen Marie Moning's Fever - LOL! See if you can borrow the 1st book from your library or e-library. That way, if you don't like the book, you didn't buy it.

I picked up the first Troubleshooter's book today - seems like a good series. I've heard Sue Brockman's name before, but not sure where.

message 7249: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Lori FYI the first two in the series are just okay. #3 is where the series takes off. Leea and Wendy refused (lol) but I often recommend starting with #3.

message 7250: by Angie Elle (last edited Feb 20, 2013 02:03PM) (new)

I haven't made it past book 1. Maybe that was my mistake! It just didn't grab me.

I liked the first Dark-Hunter book much better. I probably shouldn't compare them, but I can't help it. I loved the Dark-Hunters.
