Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I wish I had that problem. I seem to still be keeping a damn list, even though I said I wasn't going to do it this month. It's a hard habit to break, not to always have a few books ready to go.

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Just read A Week to Be Wicked (Spindle Cove, #2) by Tessa Dare and loved it! I feel like it's been a while since an HR got me swept up in this way. Felt good. :)

This has been on my list for awhile now. I loved some of the other books this author wrote. I will need to move this up my list.

Leea Same here, I've only read her Contemporaries so this is something i'll have to try.

I finished Comanche Moon (Comanche, #1) by Catherine Anderson and I really liked it a lot but I was looking for a light fluffy sexy read and got a lot more than I was asking for. Don't read this unless you understand that there is rape and violance within this book. I cannot wait to read the next book and find out what happens to Hunter and Loretta. Also, to see an HEA for Amy.

Now I'm going to read an arc, What Happens in Scotland by Jennifer McQuiston , this is sure to be light and fun! At least that's the plan. I'm so busy with the holidays that I can only wrap my brain about HR right now.

Oooh...that What Happens in Scotland is on my TBR now! Looks good!

message 6306: by Leea (new)

Leea So far it's funny and I keep thinking of the "What Happens in Vegas" but with a scottish twist. I'm about to start Chapter 3... can't wait!

message 6307: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I'm reading Dream Lake (Friday Harbor, #3) by Lisa Kleypas which is going very well but I just bought A Kiss For Midwinter (Brothers Sinister, #1.5) by Courtney Milan , which I'm dying to read!

message 6308: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Finished Seduce the Darkness (Alien Huntress, #4) by Gena Showalter and I really liked it and was quite surprised that I did!

Now the fun part of deciding what to read next.

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments I'm really having a hard time deciding what to read next. I'm thinking maybe Flowers from the Storm by Laura Kinsale .

message 6310: by D.G. (new)

D.G. That's a really good choice, Angie. :)

message 6311: by Leea (new)

Leea Dang, I really really really want to read that Angie... Can't wait for your review :) I even loaded it on my Kindle yesterday. Maybe after the book i'm reading with Kay, which I haven't started yet. I made cookies all morning with my son. I forgot how much work that was. haha!

message 6313: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I finished Dream Lake (Friday Harbor, #3) by Lisa Kleypas and thought it was ok. I think this series just isn't really for me but I will continue reading it just b/c I like the author.

I am now reading Stormfire by Christine Monson ...buddy read with Leea. It is an old school romance and I'm enjoying it so far.

Sounds fun! My 5 year old likes baking with me too. What kind did you make?

message 6317: by Leea (new)

Leea We made Gingerbread cookies (which I had forgotten how frustrating they can be and only make like 10 gingerbread guys, haha!), Almond cookies (my favorite) and sugared pecans. This is his last year here with me so we're living it up :)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'm gonna be spamming Regina everywhere. Happy Birthday!!!

Glad to hear it! I want another really good historical read. Maya Banks and Pamela Clare set the bar high, though. Let's hope Laura Kinsale is up for the challenge! LOL

I haven't loaded it on mine yet. I'll have to do it tonight!

I love holiday baking! Of course, I'm all about the frosting for the sugar cookies. ;)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I can't wait until my husband makes his peppermint bark soon. Yum.

Yes, he likes to make candy at the holidays, haha.

Thanks Kay. None today, but tomorrow we are out for dinner. Today we (hubby and me) enjoyed some delicious Californian wine, cheese and chocolate while the kids ate in the other room. Felt like vacation!

Angie wrote: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, REGINA! I hope a handsome highlander sweeps you off your feet! ;)"

Ohhhh, as long as the husband doesn't know *wink wink*.

I ended up returning my paperwhite Kindle and buying a new Kindle Fire for myself for my birthday. Great present! I am having fun with it. It is better than the first generation.

message 6330: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am reading The Hallowed Ones (The Hallowed Ones, #1) by Laura Bickle which I have been dying to read since Stacia's review and I am liking it alot.

I am also loving Quintana of Charyn (Lumatere Chronicles, #3) by Melina Marchetta and listening to Summer Knight (The Dresden Files, #4) by Jim Butcher for the second time. It is even better the second time through.

message 6331: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Happy birthday Regina!

I'm going to start Vengeance Born (The Light Blade, #1) by Kylie Griffin and see how it goes.

I'm on serious repeat today but yay again for Hallowed Ones. :)

Finished Hot Ticket (Sinners on Tour, #4) by Olivia Cunning and it blew the last two out of the water. There was so much more depth to this story and a lot of healing for the main character. I really enjoyed this one.

Starting UnWholly (Unwind, #2) by Neal Shusterman finally.

message 6333: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) That is quite a cover! I have to say I like it. :)

message 6334: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments I am in the middle of an impromptu Bridgerton re-read, and I adore this series even more than I remember! I don't know which book I like best. They're all so damn good!

I'm almost done with An Offer From a Gentleman (Bridgertons, #3) by Julia Quinn .

message 6335: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments Romancing Mister Bridgerton (Bridgertons, #4) by Julia Quinn

If I remember right, this was my favorite Bridgerton book!

message 6336: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Angie that sounds like fun! I cannot wait to start her books. :)

Stacia how are you liking the sequel to Unwind? I saw that the author had another book on NH or edelweis. I think it was an adult book.

message 6337: by Leea (new)

Leea I'm 90% done with Stormfire by Christine Monson , holy crap this book is a mind*uck. Everything happens... it's non stop action. At this point I just want to know what happens and for it all to be over. haha!

message 6338: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I love that cover. I want to read it now. :)

message 6339: by Leea (new)

Leea It's a bodice ripper with rape, denigration, verbal and physical abuse... plus a ton more that would make your head explode.

But maybe you'll like it :)

message 6340: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) LMAO!!! Seriously. I am happy from wine and wrapping presents and you so know me!

message 6341: by Leea (new)

Leea It's a large book too. Kind of reminds me of one of those spanish soap opera. haha!! I want to be happy from wine :) Enjoy!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Sounds like a good time. I'm just about to go finish some last minute wrapping. I might have a drink as well.

Finished Crimson Frost (Mythos Academy, #4) by Jennifer Estep and the last half was crazy in a good way.

Since I forced myself to watch the damn Hallmark crapfest of a movie, I might take Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, #1) by Lisa Kleypas to bed with me tonight.

message 6343: by Leea (new)

Leea Hahahaha!! I keep meaning to read that and it's a perfect time of year... being Christmas eve tomorrow.

I saw that movie preview on tv and was like - nope! lol!

message 6344: by Regina (last edited Dec 23, 2012 10:38PM) (new)

Regina (reginar) Haha so it was a bad movie? Yikes. I will stay away. Beware. The first book stacia it is just okay. It does get better though. However it is never = to Kleypas great.

Stacia I can't stop thinking about The Hallowed Ones (The Hallowed Ones, #1) by Laura Bickle I am so happy I saw your review and statuses. I never would have read it.

Stacia and Leea have a drink! Off to sleep for me now, early (crap why did I sign up?) Christmas Eve pageant and choir practice.

By the way I am loving the new kindle fire.

message 6345: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Lol! That is bad wh a preview of a favorite author turns you off.

message 6346: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 886 comments I just finished Highland Hellcat (Highlander, #2) by Mary Wine . This was a great read. Very entertaining from start to finish.

message 6347: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 337 comments Just finished Vengeance Born (The Light Blade, #1) by Kylie Griffin and it turned out to be another disappointment.

I'm going to check my bookshelf to figure out what to read next but I have Mind Games (The Disillusionists Trilogy, #1) by Carolyn Crane on my mind.
