Leea You should be remember it's a longer read so you may want to space them out. It's my favorite book series.

I read the first one years ago and it didn't hook me. I'm wondering if it would now.

Yes, I'd have to space them out. They are very descriptive reads, and it would be too much to read them back to back.

Leea Well, you wont know till you try. Are you still reading Surrender?

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments Leea wrote: "Well, you wont know till you try. Are you still reading Surrender?"

Yes. I woke up early this morning to squeeze another chapter in! I'm going to finish this series through, then probably read the next two Julie James books, then the Julianne MacLean trilogy, and then another Pamela Clare trilogy I want to read. LOL

My reading schedule is 'booked' for the next month or so.

message 5955: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments I also have to squeeze Insurgent in there somewhere as I've reached my renewals limit with the libaray.

message 5956: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments Angie, when you read Untamed (MacKinnon's Rangers, #2) by Pamela Clare , let me know. I might join you. Surrender was so emotional for me so I couldn't pick up Untamed right away. I'm ready now so let me know when you read it.

Will do! Rough estimate is Thursday. I have got to get some sleep tonight. I hardly slept while I was reading the McCabe trilogy.

Now I'm worried about what is going to happen in the last half of Surrender. It is a very emotional read!

Lori (lorimcd) OK, I'm on on Surrender the 1st book, I just wish my Kindle version had the hotter cover! I've marked this book as To Read for awhile, so since it looks like ya'll are already on #2, I might try to catch up.

BTW, I don't know the HTML code for posting the book covers. Anyone willing to share?

message 5960: by Kay (new)

If you mean here in a message, just click the "add book/ author" link above the comment box. Search for the book you're looking for & then select "cover" and then "add".

message 5963: by Aoibhínn (new)

Aoibhínn (aoibhinn) I finished reading The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton by S.E. Hinton last night. This was my first time reading The Outsiders. I never managed to get around to reading it as a teenager but I've heard so many people say it is one of their favourite books so I thought it was about time that I read it finally. And now that I've finished the book I can't believe I waited so long! The Outsiders is a gripping and compelling read which is full of suspense. It was also extremely heart-breaking and touching at times. The novel is very well-written, considering S.E. Hinton was just seventeen years old when she wrote it. I was amazed with the amount of depth and layers in this book. It really is wonderful. Five stars!
My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Today I've started reading The Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan by Charlotte Rogan.

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments I finished Surrender (MacKinnon’s Rangers, #1) by Pamela Clare sooner than I thought. Next up is Untamed (MacKinnon's Rangers, #2) by Pamela Clare . I'm going to try and hold off until Wednesday or Thursday to start reading.

message 5966: by Leea (new)

Leea I love that series, ladies enjoy and have fun reading together. I can't wait to join in and chat with you.

I'm loving, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern - I mean it's amazing! Beautiful and there is now this underline romance that is going to give me goose bumps.

message 5967: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 1216 comments I finished Wallbanger by Alice Clayton . It's such a fun book. It has funny banter like the Redhead series but I didn't feel like it was over the top or over bearing with humor. The storyline is different so I don't think it is a repeat of Redhead.

I'm not sure what I'll be reading next.

message 5968: by Caitlyn (last edited Dec 04, 2012 02:10AM) (new)

Caitlyn (caitlynj) Been reading Love Bites (Argeneau, #2) by Lynsay Sands and Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison and meh, Dead Witch Walking isn't too bad so I will finish it, I do want to know what happens. But in better news I finally got The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons from the library, I had been waiting ages so I'm thinking I won't get much done tomorrow hehehe!

message 5970: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) So I am not sure why Night Circus never appealed to me.

I am at 70% of Cold Days (The Dresden Files, #14) by Jim Butcher and it is so amazing, I may re-read it once I am done. I finished Dream Lake (Friday Harbor, #3) by Lisa Kleypas which was so much better than the first two in this series. The first two I really had to make myself read, and I am glad I did. I loved #3 and I can't wait to read #4, I think it comes out in January.

I started the audio of How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr and it is AMAZING. I am loving it. Zarr is now one of my favorite authors. I absolutely loved Story of a Girl by Sara Zarr and this is just as good if not better.

Surgery today on my second child (9, son, Sebastian) and my 4th child (4, daughter, Natalia). I am not nervous yet, but it will be a long day and night (staying at the hospital). They are getting their tonsils out.

message 5971: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Oh I may read Dream Lake next!

message 5972: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Listen? Be ware of the issues that both I and Lisa Kay had with the narrator. Lisa Kay talks about it more in-depth than I did, but the way he read the female voices was annoying. I was able to ignore it because I liked the story. It should have been team narrated. In the end, Dream Lake helped me get through my nightmarish time entry that happens at the end of each month. :)

Leea Regina, I keep hearing/reading that Night Circus audio book is fantastic. Might be worth looking into it!

Regina - Whew...1 down, another to go. Keep us up to date.

Regina (reginar) I think it went well. She is on morphine and sleeping, I am so bad with my kids experiencing pain. The next few days will be tough.

message 5989: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I feel blessed though. I have overheard conversations of other parents. Many are here for surgery much more serious. And many had to travel to get to this hospital.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Really? I haven't read the book yet but I'd watch a movie based on a Kleypas book.

I can only imagine what you're going through Regina. Even if their procedures aren't as serious as other parents, it can't be easy having two cranky kids in pain. Hopefully they'll recuperate quickly.

I'm the same way. Just seeing them in pain, pains me. You're such a good mom though, I'm sure they are glad that you are there with them when they wake up from surgery.

The book wasn't that great. I have a feeling the movie will be kind of cheesy as most Hallmark movies are. I'll still watch it though just b/c I'm a Kleypas fan.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'd heard that it wasn't one of her better books. As you know, I've only read her historicals, but I was going to read Travises first since for contemp, since most of you seem to like that series better.

But with Christmas in the title, would it be appropriate for this time of year?
