Not yet. :) I have been running outside and running to a stadium nearby to do the stairs so no inside running for me (which is when I watch usually). When it starts to get warmer or hot or rainy I will definitely be inside. I love running in spring and fall when it is cool in the morning. But I am darned excited to watch it!!!!

So, y'all recommend this series? I've read Susan Wiggs contemporaries that focus on a town and its inhabitants. I liked those.

Yes, I love the Virgin River Series. , Carr writes these damaged/flawed characters that all find happiness in this small town in Northern California (that does not exist).

I'm in the middle of Fade to Black and I'm trying to understand why I'm not enjoying the book more, even though I'm liking the couple and there has been some interesting twists. I thought I knew from the beginning who was the killer but now I'm not sure. The suspects I have are very obvious so I'm figuring it has to be somebody else.

Maybe the pace is too slow and I'm not seeing any progress in the investigation.

Jen I love it. It is steamy, always an HEA -- but you gotta like reading about pregnancy, birth and kids - Carr writes them into the substantive part of the story so these issues actually affect the characters' lives (rather than in some romance where they have a kid -- but you never see the mom even having to feed the kid, etc.)

DG that is frustrating! I have never read anything by that author, it sounds like it is more of a romance than a mystery?

I have started to listen to Bourne Identity on double time speed. He is okay, but he needs some speeding up. :)

That's the thing. The suspense part is really taking most of the plot because the romance has been really straightforward, there's not a lot of posturing by either which is refreshing. They aren't playing any games or pretending, the heroine made all the first moves because tough FBI guy is sort of vulnerable after his divorce. This book has read very real in lots of respects which I admire and even though they've just met, they feel like they've gotten to know each other very well. This is a couple I could believe will end up together and in love just after a few days.

I'm sorry D.G. Normally is romantic suspense it's the mystery thats the back story and love is the focus.

Thanks, Leea and Regina for your feedback. I always love to try out new authors. I've read one short story by Robyn Carr in the anthology SEALed with a Kiss. I liked it.

I love reading about small town every day life. Even though I'm single I really love reading about pregnancy, marriage and kids. lol Doesn't make sense, but I do.

Good romantic suspense is usually a mix of both but that means that the author really has to focus on the couple and the suspense without anything extra. That's why I like Pamela Clare. The suspense is usually very well done and the romance is great.

Leea, I think Suzanne Brockmann does the romantic suspense well. I thought I was a fan of romantic suspense, but I find it hard to read books in the genre b/c the mix is not always right -- the suspense part is not usually believable. Brockmann has it easier in a sense, because except for a few books, the majority of the books deal with war and military involvements so the suspense is very believable.

I like how Cindy Gerard and Kaylea Cross write romance, but I find the suspense not believable. I was mixed on Pamela Clare.

There were two romantic suspense books I read awhile back that I adored. and . This had the perfect mixture of romance, mystery and action. To me, it kind of reminded of reading an UF just without the paranormal aspect to it.

I am still reading and it is going very slooowly for me. I just hope it picks up soon.

Yeah, Daughters of Rome is not as good as Mistress of Rome. It picks up but nothis as page turning as Mistress. Which is really sad because Kate Quinn knows how to write.

Finally at the doctor, let's hope she gives me antibiotics because I can't get this fever lower than 100. Ugh!

I feel bad but I couldn't get through Bear Necessities. I found myself reading a chapter or two then putting it down. Then reading another couple of chapters and putting it down, until I was halfway in and still not invested. I sort of wonder if I missed something but maybe not. The book read sort of cheesy.

is...different. I'm not sure if I like it or not yet. I think it's funny that so many fans of this book hated Fifty Shades yet it's reading so similar in parts.

Finished and really liked how the trilogy was wrapped up. Now on

Thanks! I finally got some antibiotics, even though my doctor didn't want to give me any - Grrr! I've had a fever since Sunday and I haven't been this sick in years. Reading just makes my head hurt more so i've read a little but not much.

I just finished Daughters of Rome it was lacking that spark that Mistress of Rome had.

Not sure what i'm going to read next, something light and funny!

I read her The Gamble, Colorado Mountain Series but the first male character is very Alpha the others are not that bad.

I know Regina was asking me about them but I think you can skip the first book and wont miss much because they move to another small colorado town.

I just read the best novella by Ilona Andrews. Magic Dreams in the anhology Hexed. It wasn't a Kate Daniel's story, but it was set in that world with a white weretiger named Dali, and Kate's ex-partner Jim. It was so much fun, and it had enough going on in it it could've been a novel!

I loved that short! I just won another anthology win a similar title and with a new Kate Daniels short I love the title. I won it from librarything.

Regina, I got about 100 pages into Promise Canyon. Clay and Lilly are going to be a wonderful match. I was laughing at his take on her Vegetarian sandwich and nuts. haha! Getting back to the town of Virgin River is almost like coming home. I was giddy to read about Jack, Preacher, Mike, Paul and all the lovly ladies. Plus, Luke and Jack talking babies and not sleeping through the night is sooo unbelievable hot. A man who knows how to care for a child well that's just sexy :)

Yeah, I think that's what they will do also :) I liked the school idea. My husband is always the guy who holds all the babies, I sometimes wish we could have had a daughter.

It's really too late, but we're also done :) Plus, we'd have twin boys or something lol! It's just hard sometimes to think that part is over. You know?

I did know -- two babies ago, lol. I always had the desire for more and the craving and if I didn't have that, I felt like we weren't done or I still wanted to nurse, be pregnant, and even go through labor (I loved it all). But after #4 -- it is funny, I always wondered how people knew they were done -- I was DONE. You could poke me like a cake and tell that I was done. :) I remember a boss of mine telling me that after she had her 3rd and I had one at the time, I couldn't wrap my brain around it. But now I get it.

Although the other day I heard an infant crying and I swear I wanted to hold the baby and nurse it. But then I quickly wanted a glass of wine and the desire passed, lol.

The whole process is just amazing! I loved it all too, being pregnant, nursing and that feeling holding your baby. The birthing was not what we planned the first time but we made the best of it and tried to have a vbac with Garrett but that also didn't happen.

Oh, yeah. The other day I heard a baby crying and I swear I could feel my breasts grow larger. I told my husband and he was laughing. Then he said, "I always loved you barefoot and pregnant." Ugh! Pig!

I think getting back into the Virgin River books has made me miss it more. ha!
