I just finished reading When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle. It's kinda like a modern Romeo and Juliet from the point of view of Romeo's lover before Juliet. It's okay... I suppose... Good summer reading.

message 112: by [deleted user] (new)

Ooooh... I've been meaning to read that! How is it? I've heard apparently the books really thin... Is that true? How's the plot? Is it too cliché? Is it one of those books where the characters are skipping off into the sunset half of the time?

message 114: by [deleted user] (new)

Immediately after reading the title I assume it's a story about lost love?

Bree ♥ Innocent Lamb ~ Forever Reading ♥ wrote: "Ooooh... I've been meaning to read that! How is it? I've heard apparently the books really thin... Is that true? How's the plot? Is it too cliché? Is it one of those books where the characters are ..."

No actually im reallly enjoying it!!!!! but it is surprisingly thin!!! i was so surprised but the thickness doesnt matter cause the story is really intriguing and it jusst pulls me in :) and the chaaracters i love :)

message 116: by [deleted user] (new)

I was going to read it but I was worried it'd be one of those stories that are way too short and rushed... I'll be sure to read it soon. ;)

message 117: by Bree (new)

Bree Yeah i finished so yay me haaha :) it was a really good story and i love the characters, but i did find that it was a bit rushed at the end, just a little though. meh anywho, i let you have your own opinion on it when you read it

message 122: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm reading Wuthering Heights right now. Kinda boring...

message 123: by Bree (new)

Bree Hahahaha my friend was telling me that she was reading that one as well!! ^^^ she's trying to read all the classics but she says they're all boring

message 124: by [deleted user] (new)

I was meant to be trying that. I've read Jane Eyre and it was ok, I read Romeo and Juliet and I didn't get what was so good about it and Wuthering Heights was one of those books I didn't get and I don't really care for. Oh, and I read Oliver Twist a while ago, if that counts as a classic and that was pretty much the best classic I've read out of all of them... and I didn't particularly like Oliver Twist that much... Classics are just kinda boring.

message 125: by Bree (new)

Bree Maybe thats why theyre called classics - just to trick people with the classy sounds of "classics". and then when people read them to see why all the massive hype about them they kinda just...boring. sorry i probably didnt make sense but oh well

Yeah, maybe you're right... It's just kinda... disappointing though...

message 128: by Bree (new)

message 141: by [deleted user] (new)

I dunno why, I just kinda found it a little hard to read. I got through it though and I loved it all the same, so I guess it was worth reading in the end. What do you think you're going to read next?
