Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 215 comments Read "To All the Boys I've Loved" yesterday, per recommendation from a coworker. Pleasantly surprised; no graphic stuff and just a few bad words. A good read for being sick and not wanting to think much.

Yeah, it's definitely a different concept on a person that is written about a lot.

Aerykah | 2071 comments Well, It Had to Be You (Christiansen Family #2) by Susan May Warren was very good! Made it onto my favorites list! :D
Also just finished Deep in the Heart by Staci Stallings -- it was pretty good too! :)

Started A Heart's Rebellion (London Encounters #2) by Ruth Axtell last night... haven't gotten very far yet, though.

Have you read Take a Chance on Me? It's not as good as It Had to Be You, but I enjoyed it. ;)
I agree, the first book in Ruth Axtell's series was good. :) I'll definitely let you know how this one is. :)

No, I haven't. But I own that one, too. It was a freebie not long ago :) I'm so eager to read them both! Besides, she's a new author to me and I love to discover new writers! :)

message 1913: by Aerykah (new)

Aerykah | 2071 comments A freebie... yes, that's when I got it. ;) Oh cool! She's a very good author! I've read 20+ of her books & enjoyed them all, so I highly recommend her. :)

Aerykah | 2071 comments @Maria & Alice - Finished A Heart's Rebellion earlier this evening. I really enjoyed it! Hoping the next one will be about this main guy's sister. ;)

So glad you enjoyed it, Aerykah! I think "Moonlight Masquerade" is a bit slow at a certain point, but all in all is a good book! I must add "A Heart's Rebellion" to my list, then! Thank you :)

message 1927: by Bonnie (last edited May 31, 2014 11:44PM) (new)

Bonnie | 171 comments I won Love Letters A Rose Harbor Novel by Debbie Macomber in one of the giveaways so I started it this evening and am really enjoying it so far! I'm a little baffled though. The cover says the book doesn't hit stores till August 12, 2014 but when I looked it up to add to my currently reading shelf, I found that it had a TON of reviews and Barnes n Noble says it came out for sale a few months ago...I'm fairly new to goodreads still but I am really puzzled by this. I thought the purpose was for the recipients of the giveaways to get early copies to read and review so they have an idea what to expect when they hit shelves. Not complaining because I just love getting a free Debbie Macomber book and I am grateful! Just confused and scratching my head...

Samanta (almacubana) Aerykah wrote: Oh good! I hope you enjoy them! :)"

I loved the second book even more and stayed up until 4 am to read it (even though I have master thesis to do today :D). I'm just sorry that the copy of the third book is not available in my local library. In this library (which is my favorite of all in Zagreb) we have an "American corner" which consists of books donated by "the people of the United States of America" (Thank you! :)) If it weren't for that, I guess I would never find them. :)

Aerykah | 2071 comments Hoping to finish Beloved Stranger by Judith Pella tomorrow. And I'm on the second story in The British Brides Collection 9 Romances from the Home of Austen and Dickens by Kelly Eileen Hake

And my library just got in a ton of e-books that I had recommended and/or had on hold, so I'm having to pick & choose which ones I want right now (can only get 6 at a time... bummer!). I'm sure I'll be reading one of those books next, but I'm still trying to choose. ;)

message 1933: by Samanta (new)

Samanta (almacubana) I got back to The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle but it might take me a while so I'm probably going to read other books in between.

If you download the overdrive media console to your laptop or tablet--I have mine on my Nook--you can check out ten library ebooks at once and when you're done can return them early and get others. ;)
