I'm reading An Irish Country ChristmasAn Irish Country Christmas by Alice Taylor. It's absolutely enchanting, magical with the joy of a bygone era, and perfect for the season.
Oooh Divergent was the BEST YA book I read in 2012! Insurgent was almost as good!
I am still reading The Girl in the Gatehouse bc I got distracted by a couple of other books. I should finish it by tomorrow, though. :}

"I want to read that one, Salyna!! is it good??"
Yeah! It was really good! It's based on Beauty and the Beast which is my favorite Disney princess story, and I think it did a really good job of being its own book but plenty relatable to the Disney story.

It was so good! I gave it five stars. I don't really know how to explain how good it was without giving stuff away about it. You are so lucky you won it!

Yay, I'm so glad to hear that :)
I finished
by Diane Chamberlain yesterday morning. The Good Father is a gripping, touching and thought-provoking read. The three main characters are Travis, Robin and Erin and each of the chapters in the novel is narrated by one of these characters. Some of the chapters do jump from the present to the past but I thought the story was still easy to follow. Some parts of the story were very unrealistic and far-fetched and the ending of the novel was a bit of a letdown as I thought it was very predictable. It really seemed like the author had rushed out an ending just to make a deadline. I gave this one 3 stars. My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Now I'm about to start
by Sanjay Gupta. I heard this novel is going to be turned into a TV series similar to ER. It sounded like a TV show I'm be interested in watching so I decided to read the book.
Sounds interesting! I wonder where idea of a journal writing back first came from - her or Harry Potter ;)
I am about to start The Inheritance which I recieved from a very wonderful person for Christmas - i can't wait!
I finished Veiled Rose! Really good fantasy (and allegory but I read it for the fantasy).I started
. So far, so good :)
Stephanie wrote: "I am currently reading
. I like it so far. Will let you know when I get further."So I finished the book. It was kind of an interesting concept. Girl buys journal from an antique store and it starts writing back to her. There is a Jane Austen link to it through the journal. Found out there is a 2nd book coming out in January.
The Grapes of Wrath, but it a little slow as the begining doesn't grab your interest like Of Mice and Men, The Pearl, or The Red Pony.
I finished
by Sanjay Gupta yesterday morning. I really enjoyed this novel. It is actually very similar to ER. At times during reading this book, I did feel like I was reading an ER script just with different characters! The plot was interesting, gripping, well-developed and well-written. The medical lingo was easy to understand. The characters were interesting, vivid and well-developed. My only gripe about this novel was that I would have liked to learn more about what happened to the characters at the end of the novel. Now I'm a few chapters into
by Liane Moriarty. Great book so far!
Haha, Alice, you sound thrilled ;) I think I was the only one in my entire English class that actually read the entirety of Frankenstein. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it.
Steph wrote: "DraculaI am currently reading a classic that I started near Halloween yet continuing to drag on with..good book, I just found that I was a bit busy and kept putting it down. Should be done soon....."

The Apothecary's Daughter is my least favorite book that I've read by Julie Klassen. It was good, just not as good as the others.
