So far I'm loving this book but it is in the Georgian period and not as light-hearted as Cotillion,Frederica,Sprig Muslin,April Lady,ect...Plus it takes a few chapters to really get going. But to understand the story those chapters are needed. The Duke of Avon is my favorite character so far(he has very great lines IMO)

Mozart believed that he was poisoned weeks before he died. Upon hearing of his death, his sister Nannerl travels to his home in Vienna. Whatever Freemason directive he tried to promote may have been the cause of his death. ("The Magic Flute" plays a very important role and has a lot of secrets hidden within its score.) Nannerl stops at nothing to find his killer. Enjoying Mozart's music, discussions of 18th Century music performance and descriptions of daily life in Vienna of the time. (Historical mystery.)
I read a YA book about Nannerl.....
does anybody know if the movie, Mozart's Sister, is any good?

Thanks Alice! I didn't know about the film. I just put a hold on it at the library.

I have just finished... Anything but a Gentleman and it was great and I can't wait to read more of her regency romances.
I am planning on reading another Heyer next but i'm not sure which one. I have three to choose from... Venetia , Frederica or The Nonesuch
what do people think?

I just love this book.It is my second favorite Heyer.
The Nonsuch, Georgette Heyer.
Saving Frederica :) going to read all three though at some point and in need of a Austen Ish one (which this one is I hear!) - getting withdrawal symptoms! ;)

I'm actually reading a book titled "The Selkie Enchantress" by Sophie Moss. I think it's something you would enjoy reading Alice. Full of Irish myth. And I found it on Diane J. Reed's profile. I'm over half way through it and I cannot put it down. But, apparently it's the sequel in a series. The first book is "The Selkie Spell" but I didn't know that one was the sequel. I thought the one I'm currently reading was the first in the series so there are some things that don't quite click into place with me since I haven't read the first one. But it's still very good and I'm trying to make sense of it as best I can.

You definitely should. I'm about at the end of this one and am looking forward to reading the one that started it.

I know right? I keep trying to find it and I didn't take it anywhere so it has to be in the house somewhere. I've looked everywhere and now I'm super frustrated about it.

If someone here likes to get to know a glimpse of Arabic culture and history of Egypt through the eyes of a British lady then give this book a look

I did finish the 4th Sisters Grimm book and read the 5th one as well

and still reading

and we're almost done with the 2nd Fablehaven book so we'll start the 3rd one in a couple of days.

I did start reading the 3rd Fablehaven book to the children. and for my personal reading I'm focusing on A Game of Thrones.
I want to read these. ;)
I just finished Broken Days and now I'm going to read the last in the trilogy The Blue Door. :) it's a good series. they're KIND of depressing....but they always end happy. :) LOL
