Also read Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews and Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors (Jane Jameson, #4) by Molly Harper .

Thanks again for the picks, Elke!

Brett | 478 comments Megan L,
I finished Tempting the Beast by Lora Leigh . That was a hot read! haha! At first it felt like there was a book before this one. I'm trying to figure out how to read the breed books in order. There are all sorts of them and I would like to read more of them. It kind of reminds me of the new species series and I love that series so far.

message 614: by Pollyanna (new)

Pollyanna (polly8) | 300 comments Hey Jim, I just finished Kiss the Girls and gave it 4 stars it was a really exciting read, a certain chapter that anyone who has read this will probably understand was quite sickening and stayed in the back of my mind. I think that made me more excited about seeing these killers bought down. I really like Alex Cross and I'm looking forward to reading the next installment.

Thanks for recommending this book.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments So glad you liked it Pollyanna! Next time don't take such a big break between books.

Have you read the other books in the series? They are as yummy as the covers!! (And that is saying a lot!)

message 620: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments ~Megan~ - I finished up Out Of Her League - I liked it and it was a cute read, my only comment would be that I hated how Rayne referred to her as Kiddo, that just drove me nuts!! but thanks for the rec!

message 621: by ~Megan~ (new)

~Megan~ (megadee) Glad you liked it! The other books in her suspense series are totally different than this one, and you should give them a chance sometime in the future.

message 622: by ~KarenH~, Moderator (new)

~KarenH~ | 11343 comments Dee wrote: "...I hated how Rayne referred to her as Kiddo, that just drove me nuts!!..."

I agree completely, Dee! That was my biggest complaint about an otherwise really good book in a great series. Every time I read Kiddo I immediately thought of a child, and it creeped me out a bit!

Yes, I've read the first one as well and just downloaded the 3rd one. The covers are amazing, as well as the scenes in the bedroom (or shower or kitchen or living room LOL). I told Hubs he was missing out while I read this since he's out of town ;)

Mine misses out LOTS too LOL. He's only here about 1 or 2 nights a month.

You're making me want to read the next one in this series right now. I may get to it sooner than I expected!

message 626: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments glad i'm not the only who felt that way, but then in general, I hate nicknames like that for characters, it just seems so cliche...either way, i'm going to be checking out the next one soon maybe

A Beginner's Guide to Rakes (Scandalous Brides, #1) by Suzanne Enoch was a nice read. I found it hard to get through cause it never fully captivated me. However, it was still a very enjoyable read. I'd give it a 3.5
:)

Alexis (LexaReads) | 375 comments Hey Vi I finished Daughter of Smoke and Bone today! I really loved it! It was so different from most YA books! I hated the end though. I can't stand cliff hangers like that. And we have to wait so long till the second book comes out!! (This is why I wait till a series is fully published before I read it) Thanks for another great recommendation!!

Read this month
Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry, #1) by Simone Elkeles Attachments by Rainbow Rowell Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor

Vi | 2794 comments Wow, Lexa! You're zipping along! I'm just reading my first pick of the month and you've already read 3 books. You're good. I agree with you on starting a series after it's fully published. Especially those trilogies. The wait time is sooo long. I don't mind with longer series though.

Anyway, I'm really glad you enjoyed your picks this month. I'll be sure to get to DoSaB soon.

D.G. | 4477 comments Updated.

A few reminders to make my updates easier. :)

If you are updating a running post of all books you read, please clearly note the ones you already posted about and the new ones. It may amaze you, but I really can't remember every book read by everybody and I don't want to double count books. :)

For a book to count as 'read', you must have read them. DNFs don't count so please don't add it as a book completed.

Do not go back and edit past posts. I do not check them.

Its a story about a world where you can't make any choices for yourself. Everything is decided by the society and what they think is best for everyone. They will choose the work, love and the food that you eat.
