Whatever I want? Free license?Awesome. I choose: Sitting in a pink blanket, F5-ing my stationary sales report and putting off going to bed so I don't have to go to work tomorrow...
I'm actually 200% happier than the above sounds :)
I shall have a butcher's in a minute too, when I'm done here. Well done for braving the Amazon Jungle!
Well I've upset somebody. Someone's been through every post in my Amazon author thread and down voted all of them. Lol. Good job mate, hope you had fun clicking all those buttons. :) A disliking of the banter rather than the book hopefully.

I REALLY don't see how you can think that a post doesn't add to the discussion, when that post is what the discussion is about!!! I really Hate amazon sometimes!
In any case I've just gone and voted you all back up again! xxx
Oh some idiot. Just ignore them. It really makes no difference whatsoever. Could be someone who doesn't like me - theres plenty of them!
Gingerlily (Dungeon Mistress) wrote: "Oh some idiot. Just ignore them. It really makes no difference whatsoever. Could be someone who doesn't like me - theres plenty of them!"Who could dislike you? Only people you leave in the iron maiden too long, and even they'd forgive. I certainly did.
Sadly it's people who just get a bee in their bonnet about the author, the genre, fans, anything really. Maybe someone even dislikes me (unbelievable as that may sound!)I shall go and yes-vote them all. We can play silly buggers too!
Gingerlily (Dungeon Mistress) wrote: "Oh yes, there are people who can't stand me! No-one is universally loved."Well I love you Gingerlily. Xxx
I've come back to my own thread to clutter it up instead of posting drivel in the morning thread :)Gingerlily...I wouldn't say I loved you exactly, but hate is perhaps not the right word either. Muuuuhahahahhahahahaa.
If ONLY there was something in between. Why does everything have to be so black and white?
the morning thread is full of drivel - and its often mundane drivel too. You certainly aren't mundane...I think I get your drift - something in between love and hate, well that leaves plenty of room.
So, yeah, but the swing-o-meter is obviously much further left than right.Drivel is fine, but when somebody helps you realise you're putting out 90% of it....Yeah, deep breathing, calm down. Lol.
I am responsible for a fair amount of drivel as well, so you can't claim all the credit. I have to do something to keep sane in between bouts of debugging!I am trying to invent a new word for the inbetween bits, so far no good.
I don't think that there could ever be a word to significantly sum up, "I don't love or hate you, but it's something in between and definitely closer to love than hate". Our language just isn't flexible enough to handle anything other than extremes.
Ooh I want to see those! What caves were you going to use? And do they have any Vikings or penguins in thm?
Well, I wouldn't want to piss off any existing cave-owners (such as the two most renowned cave-dwelling entities: Vikings and penguins). So I was going to carve and TNT my own caves out of a mountain somewhere, then do a mural (i.e., finger-painting) or two, and then invite you over. So you could see my visual expression of "Not love, but definitely not hate either, and closer to love than hate." That phrase gets snappier everytime I use it. It might catch on.
Well there are some nice mountains I can see out of my office window, you could use them. And I wouldn't have far to go to see your works of art.

Woah, hold the phone. Looks like D.d. has solved our love/hate/in-between ranking problem in one fell blow. Thanks D.d.
I might do the cave paintings anyway, though...I'm kind of excited by the idea now. (Says a man who can be out-drawn by his 4-year old).
I will eagerly await news of finished painting. But be careful to avoid the Pengiun Cavern and the Viking Labyrinth...

I can be out-drawn by my dog!!!
D-d-do y-y-you mean...the Viking Labyrinth of Horrid Murder and Nasty Death? Or the Viking Labyrinth of Giant Foam Obstacles and Slides?
Well I wouldn't want to go anywhere near it, you hear lots of screams and moans coming from there late at night. And remember, this is the Dungeon Mistress speaking!
I suppose, where Vikings are concerned both of those labyrinths would amount to the same thing.Either way you're coming out the other end thoroughly looted and pillaged. I sure know regular soft play centres exact their geld from you.
(I'm going to vanish from posting at any minute, as that will be be forcing myself to shut this website and do some work. Forcing myself, I say).
