Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ok Hubert I have stuck my oar in. Now off to bed. Goodnight.

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments You can't tell me when to go to bed!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments No! Me off to bed. You do whatever you want. Really. . .

message 354: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Whatever I want? Free license?

Awesome. I choose: Sitting in a pink blanket, F5-ing my stationary sales report and putting off going to bed so I don't have to go to work tomorrow...

I'm actually 200% happier than the above sounds :)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I shall have a butcher's in a minute too, when I'm done here. Well done for braving the Amazon Jungle!

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I went in armed with your advice, and will play the forum slowly and gently.

message 357: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments That's it, tease them. Leave 'em wanting more!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments ** Adding fishing rod to mental picture! **

message 359: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Oi! Keep your hands off my rod.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Now my cheeks are red.

message 361: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I won't ask which ones.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments All of them!

message 363: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Well I've upset somebody. Someone's been through every post in my Amazon author thread and down voted all of them. Lol. Good job mate, hope you had fun clicking all those buttons. :)

A disliking of the banter rather than the book hopefully.

I REALLY don't see how you can think that a post doesn't add to the discussion, when that post is what the discussion is about!!! I really Hate amazon sometimes!

In any case I've just gone and voted you all back up again! xxx

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Well I just went and voted them up. So bleh to them. It's not nice over there

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Oh some idiot. Just ignore them. It really makes no difference whatsoever. Could be someone who doesn't like me - theres plenty of them!

message 367: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Aww thanks peeps. Who's walrus? Is that someone from here wearing a blubbery disguise? :-)

message 368: by Jim (new)

Who could dislike you? Only people you leave in the iron maiden too long, and even they'd forgive. I certainly did.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Oh yes, there are people who can't stand me! No-one is universally loved.

message 370: by Kath (last edited Feb 13, 2012 04:04AM) (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Sadly it's people who just get a bee in their bonnet about the author, the genre, fans, anything really. Maybe someone even dislikes me (unbelievable as that may sound!)
I shall go and yes-vote them all. We can play silly buggers too!

Well I love you Gingerlily. Xxx

message 372: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I'm back - that'll larn 'em!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Aw thanks Patti - I love you too!

message 374: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I've come back to my own thread to clutter it up instead of posting drivel in the morning thread :)

Gingerlily...I wouldn't say I loved you exactly, but hate is perhaps not the right word either. Muuuuhahahahhahahahaa.

If ONLY there was something in between. Why does everything have to be so black and white?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments the morning thread is full of drivel - and its often mundane drivel too. You certainly aren't mundane...

I think I get your drift - something in between love and hate, well that leaves plenty of room.

message 376: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments So, yeah, but the swing-o-meter is obviously much further left than right.

Drivel is fine, but when somebody helps you realise you're putting out 90% of it....Yeah, deep breathing, calm down. Lol.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I am responsible for a fair amount of drivel as well, so you can't claim all the credit. I have to do something to keep sane in between bouts of debugging!

I am trying to invent a new word for the inbetween bits, so far no good.

message 378: by Jim (last edited Feb 13, 2012 06:06AM) (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I don't think that there could ever be a word to significantly sum up, "I don't love or hate you, but it's something in between and definitely closer to love than hate". Our language just isn't flexible enough to handle anything other than extremes.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments yeah, true, but I think you have got your point across anyway :)

message 380: by Jim (last edited Feb 13, 2012 05:44AM) (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Are you sure? Because my next recourse was cave paintings.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ooh I want to see those! What caves were you going to use? And do they have any Vikings or penguins in thm?

message 382: by Jim (last edited Feb 13, 2012 06:06AM) (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Well, I wouldn't want to piss off any existing cave-owners (such as the two most renowned cave-dwelling entities: Vikings and penguins). So I was going to carve and TNT my own caves out of a mountain somewhere, then do a mural (i.e., finger-painting) or two, and then invite you over. So you could see my visual expression of "Not love, but definitely not hate either, and closer to love than hate." That phrase gets snappier everytime I use it. It might catch on.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Well there are some nice mountains I can see out of my office window, you could use them. And I wouldn't have far to go to see your works of art.

You could just say 'Like' if you wanna.....

message 385: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Heck, you might be able to hear them while I'm making them.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments nah D.D. thats way too mundane...

Ok, Jim, I'll listen out for the booms.

message 387: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Woah, hold the phone. Looks like D.d. has solved our love/hate/in-between ranking problem in one fell blow.

Thanks D.d.

I might do the cave paintings anyway, though...I'm kind of excited by the idea now. (Says a man who can be out-drawn by his 4-year old).

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I will eagerly await news of finished painting. But be careful to avoid the Pengiun Cavern and the Viking Labyrinth...

I can be out-drawn by my dog!!!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Oh yeah, and don't listen to any leprechauns who might try and tempt you away...

message 391: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments D-d-do y-y-you mean...the Viking Labyrinth of Horrid Murder and Nasty Death? Or the Viking Labyrinth of Giant Foam Obstacles and Slides?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Well I wouldn't want to go anywhere near it, you hear lots of screams and moans coming from there late at night. And remember, this is the Dungeon Mistress speaking!

message 393: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I suppose, where Vikings are concerned both of those labyrinths would amount to the same thing.

Either way you're coming out the other end thoroughly looted and pillaged. I sure know regular soft play centres exact their geld from you.

(I'm going to vanish from posting at any minute, as that will be be forcing myself to shut this website and do some work. Forcing myself, I say).

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I am befert at the thought.

message 395: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments You are?

What's that then?

I hope it isn't painful.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Typo kicking in again! I meant bereft! And yes it is painful...

message 397: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Bereftitude always hurts :(

message 398: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Sorry. I just beferted. Excuse me. *blush*

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Naughty Patti. Smack, smack...

message 400: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Uh oh. Just had raw onions with my tea. I may befert again.
