Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I meant vibe, stupid auto correct on phone.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I did wonder...

Maybe posting while over-excited is like posting drunk.

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Nah, just me failing to use technology.

Hang on, scriptwriter? I'm wounded. I'm not a character. Sobbing, yet more sobbing now occurring.

So, do I have to be approved by Rosemary to see this review or is it a rating without review? Either way, thanks! Assuming you didn't slip on your mouse aiming for the one star.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Who is Rosemary?

message 155: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Whaaaa? Figment of my imagination, or someone who posted on the previous page (and yesterday to say she'd kindly bought my book).

Just how much of this have I imagined?

Is Gingerlily the only thing that's real? COULD I BE THAT CURSED? Mwwwhahahahahahahah! Sorry Miss Lily.

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments It's a review, it's short, but it's 5 srars and there when I look!

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments STARS stupid tablet

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Oh right - now you're getting me confused. I am fairly sure I'm real, but I do seem to be rather out of step with the rest of reality. I seem to be pulling you into my little world... or is it the other way round.

Oh dear, this is not helping me work. Just you try to combine metaphysics with COBOL...

message 159: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Ah, I can see it if I go through your profile, but not if I go to the book's page. Is it a privacy settig you have, or something?

Great little review though, and I am humbled (I really am, for all my blather and bluster on here), that you enjoyed it enough to read so quickly.

Thank you so much!

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Hehe Gingerlily it's like we're all carrying on a different conversation. Interdimensional communication is always tricky huh

message 161: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Hah, I did that over lunch (which was actually breakfast). Next challenge?

COBOL.I know/knew COBOL. Shudder. I refused to get into it after leaving college though, even with the millenium bug jobs paying well at the time.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments yes. I think I know why Marvin was so depressed.

message 163: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Who's Dan Thornton and why am I now his friend on here? Not that I'm complaining, just listing factual questions that relate to this sudden, unexpected development.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments This site is really screwed up today - I'm having lots of problems. Like some strange influence is shorting bits of it out...

Yeah I keep getting Bad Gateway shoutings.
I don' t know why the review is a bit shy Jim, perhaps it'll come out later.

message 166: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments It's a great review, I hope it does come out. It can help me a lot more if it does.

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Hi Jim. As to what to do next - never fear. When I have finished with your estimable volume (turn that racket down!) - I'm at 48% now - I shall recommend it on Amazon's Meet Our Authors forum. You may wish to try this for yourself and open an author thread there. (Or you might wish to pull your fingernails out - it's a scary old world, Amazon!)
I've already told the world - with an Amazon link - on the Amazon Kindle Forum, in the Just finished, Just started thread that I think you're shaping up well - or at least, the book is!

message 168: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Hey, the experience might turn sour for the next 52%...the bubblewrap's in there somewhere. Talk of recommendation may turn to retribution for time wasted ;)

Maybe I could follow up with an arrival on the Amazon forums after you've blazed a trail for me? I fear creating a thread there, to only hear the squelch of the sucking morass that is the volume of threads/posts swallowing my thread.

But, crumbs, if you're linking it arond, I really need to get my finger out with the typos and mistakes you've spotted!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I am waiting for my train. . . As soon as it arrives and I sit down your book will be opened and reading will commence.

message 170: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I'll be genuinely gutted if you don't like it Gingerlily. Do speak your mind though, I can take it. (Note: I'm already crying)

I'd like to know what Rosemary thought about a certain group of "characters" that turn up late on. A mate of mine said I'd lose people at that point...

message 171: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Rosemary, I've just noticed you reviewed on Amazon, too. Thank you!

message 172: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I'd better get off my bum and finish it then. Yep, I'll trail blaze for you. Follow me!
(Where am I?)

Do you mean the blue guys? I have no problem with them, other than some slightly disturbing mental images ( trying to be a bit circumspect here to avoid spoiler type action) Surely not the gang of four!!? Theyre not that late on anyway...

message 174: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments No, definitely your first guess. "Too far, man! Too far" said my mate.

I laughed in his face*

* I mean, I agonised for days about changing it. Decided not to.

If they're funny, I may not revise them out in a later edition ;)

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Perhaps only revise BITS of them hehe

message 176: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Heading home from work now. Laters, peeps.

message 177: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Tomorrow for me. See you.

message 178: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yeah hurry up, Ignite. I'll grab it after you've trailblazed the typos. ;)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I got to 18% on my train journey - really liking it so far - yes Ignite, it is very Darrenesque!

message 180: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Rosemary wrote: "Perhaps only revise BITS of them hehe"

Ah, really? Some toning down required?

D.D. Chant (DDChant) | 7663 comments Jim wrote: "But who's Darren (anyway)? :)"

Darren is one of our other tame authors!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Darren is one of our prize authors, Darren Humphries. He has several books out, which are very popular in this group, and he has a very similar sense of humour to you - or you to him... Check out To Infinity and, well all his others!

They have us at: 'Your book......'

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Jim, down to the dungeon AT ONCE! ** cracks whip **

message 188: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments ** rubs face ** ...but I'm already in the dungeon!

Do it again!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments CRACK!!

message 190: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I barely felt that one. You need to up your game, girl.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I am on the Goodreads Skype call at the moment. You should join in!

message 192: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Naaaah.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments We are talking about squid porn

message 196: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Anyway, what the wop-dang-wibble is the Goodreads Skype call? Who's there?

message 197: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I'm disappointed you ended that sentence with "laughing".

Cool, though. Enjoy. You have my permission.
