Dale Harcombe | 6867 comments Can you please add God's Poetry- the Identity & destiny encoded in your name by Anne Hamilton - the new edition with the fiery rose cover, not the one with the white rose ISBN 9871922074522. and also The Shoemaker's Wife by Adriana Trigiani ISBN9781847378927 as at the moment I have a cover up which is nothing like what I have on my desk. Thanks heaps.

OK Dale, I have added your first one God's Poetry: The Identity And Destiny Encoded In Your Name God's Poetry The Identity And Destiny Encoded In Your Name by Anne Hamilton by Anne Hamilton

When I put in the ISBN for the second one, it's already there... The Shoemaker's Wife The Shoemaker's Wife by Adriana Trigiani by Adriana Trigiani

Is the cover of the second one incorrect, according to the copy you have at home? If so, can you find a link to the cover image of yours, and post it here please, so I can go from there? Thanks:)

message 211: by Dale (new)

Dale Harcombe | 6867 comments Cool thanks Brenda for the God's Poetry cover, which is a stunner in my opinion and better than the originalthe publisher had. Okay, re The Shoemaker that cover is similar to what I have except the blue is black on mine but was not what I put up as I couldn't find one even close.
Thanks Brenda you are a gem

Maggie Hi Librarians, Can I ask you to add an Australian book please.

Title: An unquiet state
AUthor: Ruth Carson
Published by: Sid Harta Publishers Pty Ltd, Glen Waverley VIC
Published in: 2010
Paperback
ISBN: 1-921829-68-0
pages: 302
Back Cover: "This is a novel set in contemporary Australia. An atmosphere of drought and fire dominates parts of the state of Victoria and intrudes itself inexorably into the everyday life of the people living there. It impacts on Jay, a young woman living alone, already battling the disturbing thoughts, images and voices inhabiting her mind while she sustains an apparently normal life. It challenges Tom and his Irish wife Maeve with its threat to personal life, strength and security, established, as it has ever been, over generations living on their rural property. Their vulnerability and the secrets of their lives are exposed, Finally, it provides a backdrop to the events intervening in the lives of a transient family which eventually falls apart in the face of family violence. The theme of loss and disintegration are threaded throughout, with Jay being the connecting factor between all the characters. They develop, or have thrust upon them, new ways of surviving. There can be no complete resolution, but in one way or another, in all these connected lives, some path ahead is opened up and a peace, however temporary, emerges."
Cover: I cant send you a copy (but it is predominantly blue and yellow) and here is a link to the publisher's site so you can see it:

Thanks, Maggie

O.K, as Little Miss Muck It Up, I added a kindle edition of this book today: Climate Wars: The Fight for Survival as the World Overheats, and thought it would combine it with the hardcover edition, instead it created a new book. I've also noticed other, separately listed, editions of the same book.

Here they are:
Climate Wars: The Fight for Survival as the World Overheats
Climate Wars: the fight for survival as the world overheats
Climate Wars: The Fight for Survival as the World Overheats
Climate Wars.

There may be more. Can someone combine these? I could go into the GR librarians group and own up to adding to the problem, but *sigh* I am a chicken. (I didn't add any other but the kindle edition!)

Help, please, this author's page is looking messy and confusing.

Maggie Thanks for adding it. Now I have another one.

title: Stolen Years: Australian Prisoners of War
style: paperback
published: 2002
publisher: Australian War Memorial, Commonwealth Department of Veteran Affairs
ISBN: 1 877007 15 3
pages:158
back blurb: "You saw these men every day when you were getting treated for ulcers. The dead were lying there, naked skeletons. They were all ready to be buried. Day after day they were just dying like flies in the camp, malaria, malnutrition. And you thought to yourself, well, how could I possibly get out of a place like this? Then when it came to the death march, you thought, how can I get out of this? And even after escaping, you'd say to yourself, well, right, we've escaped, now what are our chances, where are we going? Nowhere. We're in the middle of Borneo, we're in the jungle. How could we ever survive? Sydney was a long way from there."
Nelson Short, one of only six survivors of the Sandakan death marches, 1945.
