message 107: by Midu (new)

Midu Hadi | 1732 comments Vi, is there any way I can search for a specific book on the supernatural shelf?

message 108: by Vi (new)

Vi | 943 comments You can search the supernatural shelf on a specific book's shelf. As far as I know, you can't search the shelf. That should work for you, right?

Sandra | 25908 comments Midu, Steph has a whole thread for that, I've linked it for you :)

How to find a Specific Book on a Shelf

Vi | 943 comments Thanks, Sandra!!

message 113: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Hey Vi... Dumb question of the day. Do we want to be divining as in divination and reading or diving as swimming? I think our electronic devices are trying to auto correct our words.

message 114: by Vi (new)

Vi | 943 comments Lis... I didn't even look properly at the name. Damn it! And you are right - my device does seem to come up with Diving for Divining. LMAO!!

Diving can also be thought as Diving into books. But, it's Divining, I guess. I'll ask somebody to change for us. :)

Look what I found:

WTH?

message 115: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments OK I've fixed the name for you :)

Lis | 4037 comments Love it Vi! You rock

message 118: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 150 comments hey, I am in the middle of silver borne. It was going to be my free space read but now I can not find it anywhere on the group shelf so I am going to finish it and find another one:/

message 119: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Jennifer, Silver Borne is on the Group Bookshelf under the following tags - fantasy, vampire, were-shifter, read, urban-fantasy. So it is fine to use ;)

Christina (AKA Babbling) (babblingbookreviews) | 1242 comments And if you sort by author (A-Z) and change the "per page" to 200, it would be on the second page. ;-)

message 121: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 150 comments Ok thank you :) I was trying to look on my phone and I was getting frustrated.

message 122: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Yeah, Jennifer! You get to keep on reading... :)

After I decided to keep in the series I read for this week, discovered I picked a "chunker" for my free shelf. At least we know it qualifies since its 480 pages. Glad we have a few more weeks before we have to worry about anyones stamps lining up for Bingo.

message 129: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 150 comments Finished- Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs
Date- 2/9/2012
Rating- Five stars
Review- This book was not what I expected, but it was great. Silver Borne focuses more on Sam than the other books which I loved. It was nice to see him other than just Mercys roommate. Even though there is tons of turmoil over Mercy being in the pack, Adam and Mercys relationship really evolves. If I could change one thing, I would have made Stefan make an appearance. Other than that, this is probably my favorite of the series.

message 130: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 150 comments ^ that was my free space read off tthe group shelf. I forgot to put that.

message 131: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Glad you loved it Jennifer, I gave it 5 stars as well.

I also love the cover of that one. Silver Borne (Mercedes Thompson, #5) by Patricia Briggs

message 132: by Vi (new)

Vi | 943 comments I love that cover too - though I love most of the other covers too :)

Jennifer, you're making me want to pick up the next book now.

message 133: by Lis (last edited Feb 10, 2012 03:18PM) (new)

Lis | 4037 comments It's a great series... I'm glad your enjoying it too, they just keep getting better. I'm currently revisiting Silver Borne on audio and plan on River Marked again before jumping back to Kim Harrison's Hallows to get ready for A Perfect Blood?...

Almost halfway thru my free shelf read, trying to wrap up by this weekend.

message 134: by Heather (new)

Heather (heathermb) | 132 comments Finished: Blood Rights
Shelf: Free-Read
Date: 2/10
Rating: 3 stars

I'm giving this a very positive three stars instead of four solely based on personal preferences rather than the story itself.
The writing was wonderful with a well thought out world. I especially liked that the characters, both main and supporting, acted the way a real person would when they all interact. People aren't spilling their guts in awkward ways for the sole purpose of giving the reader information. Instead, conversations sound natural with the flow of information relative to how long the characters have known each other and whether they are friendly or not.
As for why I was personally slightly dissatisfied, I like steam in my vampire books and while there was so much tease... there was no delivery. I'm hopeful that there will be something in the next books that will step the steam up a notch. There should be because I do understand WHY there wasn't much in the book since it's rather understandably explained and the conclusion of the series should naturally knock out at least ONE of the reasons.

message 135: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Good job Heather!

Lis | 4037 comments So its time to start preshelf announcement pacing... (or for me cleaning)
Compared to last week it should happen in the next 7-8 hrs or soonerish.

message 139: by Vi (new)

Vi | 943 comments I'm going off to bed in a hour or two - actually I'm going now but I'll be doing some bedtime reading for an hour or two. By the time I get up, the shelf announcement would have happened. Best timing :P Can't wait for tomorrow morning ;)
