Great book! Enjoyed the romance, but really loved the parts where the whole crazy dragon family was together. There is always a lot of sarcastic banter going on and a few crazy dragon fights. There were some interesting developments in Annwyl and Fearghus relationship (the couple from the previous book) and I'm looking forward to reading the next book.

Kerstin, I'm glad you liked the book. The family's the best when they get together and start picking on one another.

Tohr's book is an amazing story of sacrifice, forgiveness and finding love. There were moments where I was so mad a him for being a complete douchebag to No'One and then moments where my heart broke for him. No'One is a great character who has her own problems to deal with, and ended up being the perfect mate for Tohr, imho. Lassiter *squee* love that angel. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Adding on....
I was in the car being bad when I said "readers choice!"
Anyway, NEW SHELF! NEW SHELF!
I'm going to read Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews.
Happy reading Team SS!

OK - here are some that I need to read really soon.

I also need to read these, but not quite as quickly.

Good Job!! :D

Get well soon!

Hope you're feeling a bit better Jessica, though it can take a while with flu. Hang in there!

Hope you're feeling better, Jessica. I had a bad flu a couple of months ago and I know how terrible and annoying it can be.

I just love these books and am quite sad to see the series end.
This last instalment was filled, as always, with wittiness, hilarious situations and characters and of course a good cup of tea. I just love the interactions between Alexia and Connall and Prudence had me giggle a few times with her antics. The rest of the cast, all get a nice amount of page time as well, and a lot of loose ends are nicely tied up.
The actual plot of the story took a while a develop but ended up revealing a lot of secrets from the past about a bunch of characters.
Loved it just like all the previous books and I'm looking forward to the follow-up series "The Parasol Protectorate Abroad ".

Has anyone ever noticed how the sword Kate carries on the cover of the books looks a lot like a light saber?
Episode Three: Magic Strikes Back.
My new title for the book is kind of apropos considering I finally found out Kate's Secret.
Okay, this series is getting good. The chemistry between Kate and Curran is picking up. No wonder they had fun in the hot tub. Now I have to read Curran's point of view on that scene.
The best part was Andrea telling Kate about what went on behind the door when Curran chewed out his pack.
When I finished the first two books, I wanted to read the next because the storyline is enjoyable. With this book, I can't wait to dive into the next book to see what happens with Hugh and Roland.
I can see why a lot of people gave this book 5 stars and say it's their favorite in the series so far. I'm still letting the storyline and each book I read simmer but am finding I'm more drawn to getting to the next book faster.

Really interesting YA UF. Kinda scary too! Not in the bloody, horrifying way some horror books are, but in a subtle and terrifying way. Similar to George Orwell's 1984 - this book looks at one way a loss of personal freedoms can happen in our society. Lots of food for thought here!
Kayla is a great character. Taken in by the pretty boy, but still notices the friend in the background who might be interested. It isn't a love or romance story at all, but romance and crushes are part of a young girl's life, so the book touches on that just a bit.
Lots of unanswered questions at the end - enough that I dove right into the sequel and have already finished that one too!

This week's shelf is Goodreads Author.
I'm going to read Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews.
Happy reading Team SS!

Even with the drug abuse and self loathing Chess subjects herself too I love this series and all the characters. Stacia Kane has a way of drawing me in a keeping me wanting more. I'm hoping that one day Chess can let go of the past and just let Terrible love her w/o all the extra baggage.

This was an incredibly heartbreaking and thought-provoking book. This story of five neglected children, with the oldest two practically acting as parents since they were children themselves, put me in emotional turmoil. Yes, this book tackles a "taboo", but it is beautifully done. It makes you wonder how many peoples lives are destroyed by a close minded society.

Episode 4: Magic Bleeds
Now that I have this series on my favorites list, I don't know what to say. Okay, I'm totally lying through my teeth. I have a bit to say.
Curran and Kate go at it. FINALLY! If those two didn't do something about it soon I was going to lose faith in those two getting together.
Saiman. I used to be on his side because he was sneaky in the fun way, but his little drinking fest at the restaurant crossed the line. Just face it Saiman, you're jealous of Curran and it just chaps your hide that Kate doesn't want you like she wants him. Dude, morph a set and back off. Since I'm on a roll, Raphael, don't be a jerk face. If it were you in Andrea's position things might now be so black and white like you want them to be.
Okay, enough of that.
Aunt Erra was an over confident hoot. Did she really think she could get away with it? Apparently she did which is why she failed. Hey, I'm kind of sounding like Yoda!
OOOOOO, Ted is gonna get it. Eventually that is. I hope he's in future books and Kate sticks it to him. Talk about someone with blinders on.
I wasn't as satisfied with the Hugh angle on the story. I wanted more. Maybe this is set up for some future stuff. I'll find out as I continue reading.
As you can tell I really like this series and have become one with the ways of Kate.

I heard this was well written and I want to read it, but think I have to be in the right frame of mind to do so.

Kelly, I had it sitting on my Kindle for a few months now and couldn't quite get myself to read it, as I knew it would be a depressing story. I'm glad I finally picked it up though.

Interesting concept on becoming an "adult". At sixteen all females are required to have XVI tattooed on their wrists. This indicates they are legally of age to have sex with anyone. Some men seem to think it means they HAVE to have sex with them. The girls are called "sexteens" and the media bombards them with tips on how to be alluring to men.
Our heroine isn't thrilled with becoming 16. She doesn't want the tattoo, and is afraid of what might happen to her once she gets it.
Another 1984 style dystopian YA book. Not bad, but not the best either. The ending was pretty good, but the first part of the book dragged.

I found Succubus Blues very entertaining.
The main character Georgina lives in Seattle, works in a bookstore and is a succubus who sold her soul centuries ago to mend a mistake.
Georgina meets her favorite author Seth when he comes to the bookstore. She is then goaded into giving him a tour of the city since he will be relocating there.
She then meets Roman there also. She feels an attraction to both men, but won't date either one because sex with a succubus drains the life force from the men. She only dates men she doesn't like.
When her friend Hugh, an imp, is beaten Georgina takes it upon herself to try to solve who is hurting or trying to kill the immortals in the area. Jerome, the archdemon, tries to warn her to stay away from it and keep herself and her friends safe. But curiosity eventually wins out and she can't stop herself from investigating.
I liked the way Mead played out the mystery and didn't get carried away with crazy and unreal plots or characters. I really did like all of the characters, and hope to find out more about Carter, the angel, in future books.

Now who is my favourite supe...I do love them all...but I think I love shifters the mostest :)
I'll be back soon with my pick.

Possibilities:

I'll sleep on it and let ya'll know tomorrow.....

This was a fun quick read. Claire is a 16 y/o genius who is attending college in Morganville. She is suddenly thrust into a world of vampires and ghosts that she never would have thought existed. Between fending off the campus bully, Monica, and looking for The Book to save her friend Shane from Brandon, Claire has her hands full. Now that Claire,Eve, and Shane can't leave Morganville I guess I'll give the next book a try to see what kind of trouble they get into next. I also want to know what happens to Michael.
