February’s Build Your Own Challenge - Duration: February 1-29, 2011.


February is fast approaching and it’s time to begin thinking about our next challenge. As with all our Build Your Own Challenge challenges, it’s up to you to decide how you want it to go.

Are you in the mood to read about that little winged wonder known as Cupid? Go for it! ‘Tis the month, after all.

Or perhaps you want to read books about American Presidents, in celebration of President’s Day!

Or, maybe you want to read about that furry little weather forecaster, the groundhog of Groundhog Day fame.




Or maybe you don’t want a theme at all and would rather pick a certain number of books to read… like maybe books because February is the nd month!

And don't forget, this is a LEAP YEAR!! You have a whole extra day to fit in more books! Or read titles about leaping.... just sayin'...


The possibilities are endless, and they’re yours!

The only restriction to this challenge is that you can’t begin reading before February 1st.

Please post your status updates like this: 2/12 or 3/5, etc. It makes it much easier for me read and understand, and be able to update your stats and keep everything straight.

@Dhes- I've read one 'meh', too. And it would have been a lot better, but there was a love triangle. I don't usually enjoy those books because I end feeling so bad for the one who loses out.

@Danielle- I read many of those chore books last year. I won't do it again lol. I've always made myself finish what I start, but I've decided life's too short!

At first it didn't seem like it would be, the beginning was all about the manuscript & everyone wanting it, but after a while there was romance aplenty. I never read The Physick Book so I can't give you a comparison.

Lady Heather, I love The Gamble... it's not your typical read though. The editing is not great, the writing has weak moments, Max is over the top obnoxious and alpha... but the story... I loved the story. I hope you do, too!
