Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Thank you so much Karl - as each sale happens I get more and more startled and as each review comes in I have to try harder and harder not to well up. Have faith in yourself mate - things work out for good people and you seem like a good people to me! Keep on keeping on!!

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments If you feel the work is good mate then it is good. No question. And 'Bollocks to the Naysayers' is definitely a title you should use one day!!

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments I wake up every morning thinking that will be the end of it all, but people keep buying it! Like Christmas every day in this house (although I think I'm driving my wife a little mad!!)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments She already spends what we haven't got as it is!!

That's the 1 I have started. Is that the 1st book or just a particular book to start with?

message 262: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments That is the latest one. I wrote my first, A Cleansing of Souls, when I was 22. I'm in the process of revising it (with Ignite's wonderful help!) and will be releasng the revised version in February!

Thank you so much for taking an interest in my little endeavour!!

message 263: by Fiona (Titch) (new)

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) | 942 comments Stuart, I have bought both of ur books mate x

message 264: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Blimey! I guess Tollesbury Time Forever is me now and A Cleansing of Souls was me twenty two years ago! Kath and Ignite have read both and seem to like them. My preference is obviously the latest one but I must say re-reading A Cleansing of Souls I am beginning to fall in love with it again!

I'd love to know what you make of Tollesbury Time Forever - hope you enjoy it!!

message 265: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Just had my first ever taste of unpleasantness on the Amazon.co.uk forum! Makes you realise how lovely everyone here is!

message 266: by Karina (new)

Karina Kantas ooops what happened mate?

message 267: by Fiona (Titch) (new)

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) | 942 comments Where and which book Stuart?

message 268: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments got basically accused of getting all my friends and family to fabricate all the reviews for Tollesbury Time Forever!

message 269: by Fiona (Titch) (new)

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) | 942 comments How the heck can you do that when I've NOT read it

message 271: by Fiona (Titch) (new)

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) | 942 comments Stuart, have u seen Amazon have deleted your comment?

message 272: by Karina (new)

Karina Kantas oooh jealous or what!

message 273: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Made the mistake of replying and got the post deleted by amazon as the bloke claimed it was self-promotion!

message 274: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments I did Fiona - then I deleted my others - very weird feeling to experience something like that when you've written a book about love and forgiveness! Perhaps I should recommend he reads it....on second thoughts!

message 275: by Karina (new)

Karina Kantas lol. I wouldn't fret about it Stuart. I got a private email ( how they got hold of my address I've no idea) off a person who didn't like my answer on Yahoo answers. I could have reported it, or emailed her back, but I just deleted it and then got on with things.

message 276: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Thanks Karl! Amazon removed one and I removed another! I feel the same as when I got chased home from the pub one night by a gang of nutters when I was sixteen!

message 277: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi Stuart, hope you didn't mind me interfering there, it gets out of hand sometimes, well lots of times really, best sticking to M.O.A and here. much nicer

message 278: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Thank you Lynne! I really appreciate it. It's a weird old world isn't? Just a case giving love and forgiving bitterness I guess.

message 279: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Silly me couldn't resist one final sarcastic comment! But no more!

message 280: by Karina (new)

Karina Kantas ROFL perfect Stuart. xxx

message 281: by [deleted user] (new)

Your welcome Stuart..dont let them bother you. Some right idiots on there now.

message 282: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Why thank you, ma'am!

message 283: by Emma (new)

Emma (emzibah) | 4125 comments I agree, do not let them bother you. I gave up on reading any posts on amazon quite a while ago now when I joined an online bookclub (that started on amazon and then we decided to have our own website!) and there were lots of derogatory comments about that. Absolute tools!! Much nicer here xx

message 284: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Nothing bothers me other than referees and linesman so I should be okay! Thank you though Emma!! xx

Ps 'tools' is a much underused expression!

message 285: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Cheers Karl - I guess that is now my "Tool" acceptance speech!

message 286: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments We're behind you Big Fella!

message 287: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Thank you!!

A fine reprise of the 'massive' comment in that interview!

Clever!!

Ha, I love the word Tool!!

message 289: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments useful in the right hands eh??!!

message 290: by Joo (new)

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments I go there with the intention of winding them up by promoting KUF/GR authors.
I get a bit upset if I have 100% yes votes, I think where's my non-fans voting me down :D

message 291: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments You are wonderful! (that statement will mean more if you read the book!!)

Thank you!

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Hi Joo,

They have been a huge disappointment tonight. The angry mob seem to have lost their voice. The penny might have dropped that many people have abandoned the forum for this group and kuf and when our members challenge one of their bully threads we can reverse the no votes.

Perhaps I am allowing my optimism to get the better of me :)

message 293: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Thank you so much for your support Simon. I guess I have been spoiled by Goodreads and wasn't at all aware what I was walking into.

Thank you again,

Stu

message 294: by Joo (new)

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments Stu, if you want to say anything about your book in the kindle forum over there, you need to use a spokesfan ;p

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I would think you would get plenty of sponsors here Stuart.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Just remember to invite me to the world premiere of the film. I brush up ok in a dinner suit.

message 297: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments That's really kind of you Gingerlily - I'm a humble soul though to be honest. I've written a book that people seem to like and any more than that is all a bit confusing to me (as tonight has evidenced!) What will be will be I guess. Weird old life isn't it? Weird but beautiful.

message 298: by Stuart (new)

Stuart Ayris (stuayris) | 2614 comments Of course Simon - sadly, I don't!!
