mindfulness is so perfect in every way! Do your coursework though as that's on your road to helping others and what finer road is there??!!!

mindfulness and counselling skills is great, sadly I am still stuck at the NOS Healing CHH1-5 stage at the moment which I know is important, but tedious nevertheless... i like to think of it as a necessary evil *sigh*and i started it for personal development really, but who know what will happen in the future...
need to help myself before i can help others...
I did 2 years of counselling training and it was a huge help to me in both understanding myself and relating to others. I am now trying to help set up a chaplaincy/counselling service in a prison. i can't wait to get going on that and get out of my boring desk job.
i wrote that in my little book already... :)(the little book i have to carry round with me to remind me of everything cos my memory is so cr*p)

I am thinking of bringing out a little handmade book of FRUGALITY with pictures of each child on the bale of hay along with the song/poem/story etc - even thought of doing some T-shirts with the FRUGALITY morals!!

oooo that'll be way cool :)
Just had another nice review! That's nine reviews in less than fourteen days! I really can't believe all the kind things that are being said about Tollesbury Time Forever. I honestly thought it was about as uncommercial as you can get (as did I should think the many agents and publishers that didn't even reply to my submissions!)
nice one :) i think you'd be surprised how many people will actually relate to your book... whether they choose to admit it or not is another thing entirely...
i also think that schizophrenia is still pretty much mis-understood. many people still think it is either DID/MPD and/or associated with violence...
*sigh*
most of my favourite books are what you would class as "uncommercial" imo they are often better cos they are more raw and therefore more real and not "softened up and/or polished (ruined) for publication"
praise Amazon for allowing books like yours to get read by people like me without being spoiled by editors and publishers...
Thank you Kath and thank you Karl! You will gather from the book, Kath that my views on mental illness and its treatment do lead me to the wrong side of the disciplinary line in terms of my job!!
Stuart wrote: "Whatever my little book has meant to Kath, her response has been of equal value to me. She is wonderful x"oooo i missed this post... thank you...
*tries very hard to take compliment without shrugging it off* ;) x

just remember that i PAID for PRIVATE psychotherapy...
Well I've just finished it and I'm still getting my breath back. I have no experience either side of the mental health counter but as a piece of wonderful literature it's a winner, Stuart.
I am moving this book to the top of my TBR list, as it sounds like something that would really mean something to me.
Just put a couple of recommendations on 2 of the Amazon Meet Our Authors threads Stuart. Sponsorship in action!
Hi StuartI bought the book yesterday - I'm really looking forward to reading it. I will certainly review it when I have done.
Karl - Tweet tweet, someone likes me. wrote: "You're lucky Stuart, a recommendation from Ignite is high praise"Just 'cos I'm a hard biddy! (Well, ok , bang to rights!)
That would be editor, dear boy!Lay off!
PS I know you were joking but I can't stop doing it. It's like a nervous tick!
my old maths teacher used to have a nervous tick - that's how he managed to put cross next to all my answers!
Ive just read Kath's and Ignite's reviews on Amazon. I will be reading it when i have finished my current book, sounds excellent.
i have hand written my coursework - i am old school that way ! just need to type it up - but that is best done after a day or so just to make sure i understood it and haven't left anything out... weekend job methinks...so can i read your other book now...?
My editor's hat is firmly welded to my editor's head! If I find anything, do you want me to tell you or not?
Thank you! I remember I hand wrote the first twenty thousand words then typed them and all the rest up on a typewriter in 1991/92. All the pages were stuffed in a carrier bag and I just brought it with me every place I lived until my wife read it and persuaded me to do something with it!
That was really interesting Stuart. Your wife is a woman of taste (obviously!)Does growing my own vegetables, making quilts and catching flies and wasps to let them out rather than swatting them make me barmish too? Or just bloody barmy (as has been said!)
Well... Stuart, it IS a brilliant book... so I am not surprised it is climbing up there... and i am SO happy for you and happy for me too cos i am a richer person through having read it...so Stuart - THANK YOU !
just read your latest blog entry - lol @ the bus bit(used to live in a tiny village in somerset so understand the importance of buses but it still made me laugh)
