Drew Melbourne (drewmelbourne) | 4 comments Hi folks! I'm currently looking for reviewers for my indie sci-fi/fantasy/mystery/adventure/horror/comedy novel, PERCIVAL GYNT AND THE CONSPIRACY OF DAYS.

Set 18,000 years in the future (in the easy to remember year 20018) CONSPIRACY tells the story of Percival Gynt, accountant and part-time adventurer, and his quest to find an ancient doomsday weapon before it falls into the wrong hands. (And what happens when it falls into the wrong hands.)

Here's the official page on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/0999874802

It's a story with serious stakes, but a lot of humor. Big influences include Douglas Adams and Neil Gaiman.

I can provide a print or electronic copy for reviewers on request. If you're interested in reviewing, please email me at drewmelbourne@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Rebecca Crunden | 7 comments A Touch of Death (The Outlands Pentalogy #1) by Rebecca Crunden

A thousand years in the future, the last of humanity live inside the walls of the totalitarian Kingdom of Cutta. The rich live in Anais, the capital city of Cutta, sheltered from the famine and disease which ravage the rest of the Kingdom. Yet riches and power only go so far, and even Anaitians can be executed. It is only by the will of the King that Nate Anteros, son of the King’s favourite, is spared from the gallows after openly dissenting. But when he’s released from prison, Nate disappears.

A stark contrast, Catherine Taenia has spent her entire life comfortable and content. The daughter of the King’s Hangman and in love with Thom, Nate’s younger brother, her life has always been easy, ordered and comfortable. That is, where it doesn’t concern Nate. His actions sullied not only his future, but theirs. And unlike Thom, Catherine has never forgiven him.

Two years pass without a word, and then one night Nate returns. But things with Nate are never simple, and when one wrong move turns their lives upside down, the only thing left to do is run where the King’s guards cannot find them – the Outlands. Those wild, untamed lands which stretch around the great walls of the Kingdom, filled with mutants and rabids.

A Game of Wings and Marks by Rebecca Crunden

When Octavia Coal goes to the mountains to clear her head, she doesn’t expect to find an angel in trouble.

He tells her his name is Tamiel and he’s one of the Irin – the army of angels tasked with keeping demons from overwhelming humanity. But Tamiel broke a sacred law – he fell in love with a human – and now he’s being hunted by the same angels he once served.

With nowhere else to go, Octavia and Tamiel – along with Jack, the human in question, and her brother Caleb – appeal directly to Zev, the Demon of Games. A trickster of unparalleled power, Zev gives nothing for free, and the gift he offers Octavia to keep Tamiel alive comes with a confusing catch: He makes her the Healer of Raphael, archangel and Commander of the Irin.

Suddenly a target for both angels and demons, Octavia quickly learns that the only way to survive is to play the game better than they do.

The only problem is, she doesn’t know whose game she’s playing …

Haze by Rebecca Crunden

When Eliza Owens gets a phone call in the middle of the night from a girl she’s never met, she doesn’t know what to think. The girl introduces herself as Paige, and says she used to date Erik Stern, Eliza’s fiancé. What’s more, she has something important to discuss.

The only problem? Paige has been dead for years.

Believing it to be a sick prank, Eliza tries to force it from her mind until Sam, Eliza’s older sister, tells her she met Paige only a few weeks before. And, according to Sam, Paige has nothing nice to say about Erik.

The fight which follows shatters the lives of everyone involved, and Erik disappears without a trace.

Five years later, Erik returns to town after his father’s death. Old wounds quickly resurface, and with them several burning questions. None the least of which is: Who spoke to Eliza and Sam if it wasn’t Paige? And why?

General warning that all three books contain strong language, adult situations and violence. All characters are 20+ years old.

I'm looking for honest reviews of any of the above books. If you'd like a copy, please email me at crundenbooks@gmail.com

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for ARC readers for my steampunk/romantic suspense novel set in Victorian Auckland (New Zealand)
The novel will be published by Soul Mate in February.

Please, note that this is steamy romance (there are sex scenes and a bit of violence). I can provide mobi, and epub copies. Many thanks!

Blurb:
Auckland, 1884. The Supernaturals are frightened. Despite being able to do extraordinary things like teleporting or lighting a fire with a stare, a serial killer, the Heart Collector, is slaughtering them. He rips their chests open and removes their hearts.
While other aristocratic, nineteen-year-old girls spend time dancing, Isabel trains hard to become an MI7 agent—Military Intelligence Seventh Division, a crime squad run by Supernaturals. The Heart Collector murdered her best friend, and enrolling at MI7 is the best way to help catch the killer.

Isabel senses other people’s feelings as if they were her owns. But MI7’s leader is too worried about Isabel’s safety to let her join the team.
Eager to prove that her power is valuable, Isabel volunteers to meet Murk, a dangerous Supernatural man who can turn himself invisible. MI7 desperately tried to recruit him and failed.
She believes that her power is enough to convince Murk to become an MI7’s agent and help apprehend the Heart Collector. If he wants to attack her, his feelings will broadcast his intention, and she’ll be ready.
What Isabel isn’t ready for is to fall in love with the man who will collect her heart.

S.J. Hartland (sjhartland) | 2 comments Hi all, hope I'm posting in just the right section!!
I'm a new epic fantasy author wondering if anyone out there might like to read and review the first in a new series. Can provide mobi, generic epub and PDF.
blurb about the first book, The 19th Bladesman, is below.
Warm regards, Susan.

His duty is to die young, but fate has something far more lethal in mind
If Kaell breaks, the kingdom breaks with him. And prophecy says the 19th Bladesman will break ...

The Bonded Warrior …

Kill. Die young. That’s what a swordsman bonded to the ancient gods does. Without expecting praise from the man who trained him to survive this centuries-old, malignant war against the inhuman followers of an invincible lord. But Kaell wants more. More of Val Arques’ attention, his approval. Just more.

The fire dancer …

Ice lord, spy, Heath never loses a fire dance. Yet he longs to know that thrill of danger down his spine as he kills for his god, to fight a warrior who might, just might be better than him.

The broken …

Val Arques is a bladesman of formidable power entrusted not only with Kaell’s life but with the truth that will destroy him. Banished to a grim outpost of this doomed kingdom of sorcery, poetry and treachery, he cannot afford to care about the young warrior. For love means loss. And Val Arques has a shameful secret ...

A kingdom on the edge of chaos …

As a vengeful god escapes his ancient prison and Kaell is drawn into his web of deception, even Val Arques can’t protect him from the dark prophecy awaiting him. Because you can’t flee fate unless you’re willing to do the unthinkable.
Duty and love collide in this powerful epic fantasy, first in the Shadow Sword series, about shattering loss, betrayal and the price of power.

Anna Halabi | 3 comments Hi everyone!

I did it! I finally published my first book! Syrian Brides

After the preliminary rush of adrenaline, I fell hard when I realized how difficult it is to get the word out... I got some encouraging feedback already but I definitely need more!

I would appreciate reviews on Goodreads and Amazon in exchange for a free e-book copy of my book Syrian Brides.

Syrian Brides is a collection of entertaining short stories about the lives of women in Syria. Behind the facade of humor, the stories are socially critical and address various issues such as domestic violence and women's rights.

Interested? Just send me a private message with your email address and I'll send you a mobi or PDF file in exchange for an honest review.

Happy Reading!

G.M. O'Neill | 21 comments Hello,

I'm looking for a review of Book one of the series Atoma and the Blockchain Game.

Atoma and the Blockchain Game by Gerard O'Neill

15-year-old Atoma always knew she was different... And that wasn't just because she was born in Chicago.

She doesn't realize just how different until, surviving a tragic plane crash in the bone-freezing cold of a mini-ice age, she learns her DNA is banned.

Suddenly, she has no citizenship, and that means no rights.

She is a Zero.

In the year 2050, Earth Inc. controls the planet and there's no sympathy for Zeros who on discovery are sent to slave labor camps on the frozen tundra.

When a mysterious agency intervenes she's offered a choice between a short life in an Alaskan gulag or the chance to survive a possible suicide mission.

She can die sooner rather than later, or she can join a team of Zeros that will be dispatched to an unexpectedly dangerous world. An uprising is needed, but first, there's a mission to get out of the way.

Susan's Reviews (suel2016) | 2 comments Sporadic Memories: Book One, by Ali Marsman. This was truly uplifting and heartbreaking in equal measure. For those of us who have lost loved ones, this memoir will strike a chord. It is certainly difficult to move on once a loved one has passed, but rejoicing in what was obviously a very deep and shared love is an excellent antidote to despair or "saudade" - as the Portuguese more aptly describe this deep longing for someone or something that is no longer within our reach or sight. The lyrical/poetic structure and careful choice of words enhanced this very emotional trip down memory lane. Thanks so much for sharing this with us, Ali.

Hi. Currently looking for reviews of my sci-fi/horror/zombie sequel (with an element of M/M romance) Holohive, which is due for release on 26th March 2019.

The first book, Doomware, is currently free to download from Amazon, Apple Books and Kobo.

Synopsis:

Having escaped the clutches of the Acybernetic Initiative, David Lawney finds himself on a small island off the coast of southern England. But now zombies may be the least of his worries. All indications point towards irresistible forces massing against him and the adoptive son he has sworn to protect.

Soon David comes to a stark realisation: protecting the boy – along with what remains of the human race – means going on a mission to assassinate Holohive, the artificial intelligence whose virus decimated humankind. But Holohive is no easy target. It has started a new empire, expanding its race to include lethal androids capable of tearing human beings apart.

What David faces is a virtual suicide mission, but it’s one he seems destined to embark upon whether he wants to or not.

Holohive is available in EPUB, MOBI or PDF. Website: Nathan Kuzack.

My new novel The Nowhere is coming out on 4th June, and my publisher is currently accepting requests for ARCs via this form on my website: chrisgillbooks.com/arc

We are looking for reviews ahead of its release and are sending out paperback ARCs.

The Nowhere by Chris Gill

Two boys. Two farms. One deadly secret.

Every day’s the same on the farm. Seventeen-year-old Seb rides his quad bike alongside his dad and cattle dog, dreaming about a different life. A life that doesn’t require him to spend all day in the blistering sun. Where the nearest town isn’t a forty-minute drive away with a population of fewer than three hundred people. Where he can talk to someone who isn’t his little brother or short-tempered father.

So when new neighbours move into the derelict farm on the opposite side of the shrub, Seb hopes his luck is finally about to change. Could Jake, the enigmatic boy with a dangerous glint in his eye, be his ticket out of The Nowhere? And if so, how far are they both willing to go to escape?

Fast forward two decades and Seb’s working as a nurse back in Perth. With his dad living in his home, Seb is tormented by the demons that have followed him his entire adult life. He begins confiding in his caring colleague Sandra, who convinces him the only way he’ll be able to move forward is to exorcise his ghosts and seek closure.

But when Jake calls out the blue telling Seb he’s coming to visit, Seb has to decide whether he’s ready to face exactly what happened that summer. On the night that forever changed not only the lives of the two boys, but that of their entire families.

Youthful, brutal and ferociously fantastic, The Nowhere is a coming-of-age novel about aspiration and isolation, sexuality and sadness, love, loss, and how life changes. Despite his best efforts, Seb learns that secrets can’t be kept forever. The truth always comes out eventually.

One night. One Man. One Mystery.

While she seems to have it all, Sophie Knight is looking for more. When gorgeous and carefree Michael Frisk walks into her life, he offers the excitement and passion she desires.
Sophie is willing to risk everything she has. After all, she is used to concealing things from her husband—like her alcoholism, her unhappiness. But soon she has more to hide. She wakes up one morning in an alcoholic haze and finds bruises on her body, but has no recollection of what happened to her. Was she raped?
When unsettling notes and mysterious phone calls start, Sophie wonders whom she should turn to. Is Michael the cause of the frightening things happening in her life, or is he the answer to her problems?

Blurb
My name is Mike Addison. I’m an astronaut, and I eat brains. Yep, I’m a zombie, and I’m pretty sure that landing shuttle taking off is my crewmates and the woman I love leaving me behind. Unless the creature that’s been stalking us got them first.

This isn’t so bad. I’m a mechanical engineer and cell biologist. All I have to do is work one problem at a time. I can handle this. If the oxygenator breaks down, I’m already dead. If the power and heat go out, I’m already dead. If the water regenerator—you get the idea. The first thing I need to do is figure out how to grow my own supply of brain cells, because potatoes, my friend, are not going to cut it.
